Never thought I'd see the day where I put my baby on one of these drones, I'm keen to see what results a fixed sensor camera will give me. I did try Sony Catalyst software but had bad results, even worse in fact even with IBIS off. However some people seem to have had good results with this too. But I'm glad I went through all this to help you get the upper hand when looking at cine lifters. Please read the comments below as some people have been super helpful with great information on this topic. We are getting back into the regular travel content next week! and I'm so excited to show you what I've been working on!
This is how FPV *_should be done!_* I LOVE the little inconsistencies/wobbles. I'm over the GoPro Fisheye + Reelsteady look at this point haha. Keep this up my man!!
We wish you have a nice 1st. advent. We love this songs, this had you bring us to our last trip Iceland. We love it. See you and take care. Siri and Uwe . See you
footage to die for? Whta are you even talking about!? The footage was soft and not good at all... THat's the whole point of this video.. all that work and the footage is still trash because of the internal floating sensor.
First..what an awesome location for fpv! 🤙🤙 In my opinion, cliffs like that are just amazing for FPV footage. Thanks for the insight on the cameras. Also, man is hiking 🥾 dangerous where you live! 😳😳. 🤙🤙
The cliffs were perfect, one of my favorite location, I haven't seen a snake in like 6 years here and saw 2 in the last week haha its usually not that bad but goes to show always gotta be careful
Hello there.... I'm really solid huge fun here since the Video of yours... On here the Philippines Look forward for more..... really inspiring for me.....
Honestly dude... I dont care about the footage.. Im here for your story telling! You know what? Whenever I see ur videos, they inspire me to do more. Because You show how much struggle and obstacles you must to overcome to make a good video. My father did not teach me how to reach goals or work on self improvement.. Im 31 yo now and u inspire me dude! Much of love
I also have the Taurus x8, been flying it stock with a zcam and love it. It's unfortunate that IBIS causes such crazy vibrations as the a7s3 is gorgeous. I would recommend loosening the rubber buffers again if you put a fixed sensor camera on it. Even though it helped with the sony, having those so tight is actually mitigating their effectiveness for a fixed sensor camera, should you eventually put one on top! Great video and looking forward to seeing more!
I found your channel yesterday and the first vid was about moving to Bali. I gotta say, it was so valuable to see someone open up like that. Specially about hair 😅
Whoaah, never been see drone, mirrorless camera and deadly wild snakes into one video, really proper scenery places and gears you got there, great job for the result after much effort you've done mate
would recommend getting a different cinelifter, if you are gonna go the route of buying one pre built, then id go with something from quad standard labs or catalyst machine works
as someone who has gone through this exact process, i can say that the sony is absolutely not the best option for flight just yet. Good on you for allowing us to see your failure as well as your moderate success. It really helps the community to be so honest.
Hey Benn, great video as always. Just a quick tip: you may have better results turning off all active stabilisation and using Sony catalyst to stabilise the footage in post. As you know, the A7SIII has a gyroscopic sensor, so if you turn off all active stabilisation, the exact off-centre movements relative to the axis will be recorded onto the sensor. Warp stabiliser makes a guess as what those adjustments need to be, but Sony Catalyst will be able to do it precisely. Good luck!
Thanks brother! I did try this but the results were actually worse, however it seems many have also had good results with catalyst. So maybe ill try again
@@Benn_TK many forget when using the any stabilization program especially catalyst the shutter speed needs to be cranked up to remove any micro jitters in post when IBIS is off
This isn't exactly correct as even with ibis off, the sensor will still jitter. You have to have your sensor locked into place. Any camera with ibis doesn't have that. The best cameras for fpv drones have no ibis for this reason. The BMPCC 4K is a better cinelifter camera for this reason. If your camera has IBIS, you have to physically stick something in the camera to jam the sensor into place. Works for some people but not what I'd want to do to my a7siii lol
Awesome work Benn! So cool to see you break down your learning curve with that absolute monster. You've got major kahonas flying that setup full send, what a Skuxxxxxxx! Excited to see the results you get with no IBIS!
Catalyst works well with the right tuning if ever. and if you are looking for a way to block the ibis we have tuned it up and it works without vibration, a stab on catalyst and you get the perfect image;)
Im more impress of your courageous putting a 5K camera and fly over the ocean 😵🤯 was holding my heart But footage is amazing, cant match that with any on board drone cam
I have been flying the A7SIII on a X8 quad with my friend Ivan Merino and the shots came out super smooth on the first try! Image stab switched on! I don't think that the IBIS is the issue!? 🤔
Awesome footage you achieved there! It looks a little soft though. Maybe this is because of diffraction blur because you stopped all the way down to F22?! I would love to see how it comes out when turning off stabilization, increasing shutter speed and using catalyst browse for post stabilization!
Hey Benn. I flown my Sony a7siii w/ 16-35 f2.8. I did get some great results with it after putting alpha gel on the mount. It worked with catalyst browse.
Awesome vid my man!! Absolutely love the message about persistence, quite literally the most important aspect to anything we do in life! Great to see that monster drone working for you as well 🔥
Nice video brother! I can see you put that second A7S3 into good use.. you gonna show me that cool spot on the cliff, so sick! But I don’t want any tiger snakes though… lol
you got some guts and perseverance to fly that thing man, happy for the outcome you should get the blackmagic in the next video. much love from bohol, Philippines
Yeah both the drone and the camera is so expensive to fly with. But you get the job done happy for you brother. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 really inspired of your videos

you should ask the "cinequads" team, they stripped bmpcc and a komodo. super small, light, and the result are impressive shots

the struggle of filmaking man, i was suppose to go make a travel vid in venice but my gear broke so had to change plans, great video man inspired me!
