Very impressed with the sound on this machine. Possibly the most ambitious, conventionally listenable soundtracks of its day! Big shout-out to Laird's Lair for his feature on TI-99/4A.
Nice to hear all the themes! Interesting how Jawbreaker II and MouskAttack have similar songs. If MouskAttack made it into production, most likely the song would've changed so as not to be similar.
It's the same song. I've been looking for its name for decades, and finally found it: Turkish March by Mozart (also called "Rondo Alla Turca", "Piano Sonata No. 11"). I think a lot of these older games used music that they didn't have to pay for, so they ended up with the same music.
Thanks so much for posting! I used to play some of these games all the time with a friend who has sadly passed on. By the way, do you know where I could replace just the disk drive on my TI, or would I have to replace the whole peripheral expansion unit?
If just the drive is shot and your PEB and Disk Controller are still good, you just need a new drive, which will be the easiest to acquire of the these three items, since this will not be proprietary tech. In practice, disk and controller options for TI-99 are a relatively complex subject. But these days, many people just use a TIPI or other RAMDisk-like storage solution, when not specifically reading original era disks.
So surprised that other Romox games had decent classical music when Hen-Pecked included music that just sounded "off". Not quite music for not quite a game. Another fine video sir...If your goal was to become a premiere TI channel on UA-cam, you are succeeding!
Many thanks for saying. Couldn't have ever imagined a year ago that "UA-cam 99er" would become my predominant hobby by a fair margin, down the line. But it's been a funny year.
thanks for putting this together, i have a lot of memories associated with that shiny box. ❤
What is the song playing in Jawbreaker II? Has haunted me for years.. same in mouse attack - Sierra on line liked using it apparently
Turkish March by Mozart, a.k.a "Rondo Alla Turca", "Piano Sonata No. 11"
I just found this out today!

...they realized WAY too late in the production cycle that they misspelled "Mansion" in Midnite Mason
