    I had to pick a different frequency because it was interfering with my gb2. So awesome that it has this option. Such a wicked little pin pointer

    Man TheHunterGT... This is making need want to break my CFO's instructions to not spend any more money! While I prefer the green over this red color... I would be paranoid of setting down the Tek-Point in the grass and losing it... Looks great, and will eventually make it to my bag!

    Great review . I have the carrot and makro both getting on a bit . And thinking about replacing them . IS the F PULSE louder than them ?? As I am hard of hearing and need a loud pointer .

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  6 років тому

      I am not sure if it is any louder or not...but the speaker is on the back pointing right at you as you place it in the hole.

  • @NFL88
    @NFL88 4 роки тому

    Nicework! Realize this is an older video but do you recall if it turns on with a loud alarm when in silent mode? That was one thing the carrot has over the TRX... not sure why whites gave us a silent mode but it can be heard a 1/4 mile away lol.... Also, (Unrelated to this machine/video) but I really wish there are more options with tip detection only...When hunting deep silver its awesome to precisely locate it in the hole...The TRX is close in that regard, although they weirdly have it detect 360 degrees again 4" up the shaft...

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  4 роки тому +1

      I am "fairly certain" it is silent if you are in vibrate mode. No beeps when turning off and on. The Nokta pointer gives of 4-5 beeps when turning it off....no matter the mode. A weird thing to do for sure. Thanks for watching!

    Im leaning toward buying the Fisher, will be my first pinpointer. The other contenders are the XP and the Tek Point....I will be using it for relic hunting and I do need to search at least 3 inch depth, so is this the right decision to go w/ the Fisher ?

  • @rinoldix
    @rinoldix 6 років тому +2

    Another great video, Hunter. I have a question tho, are this one and the Tek-Pointer exactly the same, just different colors and brand?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  6 років тому

      Yes...both the same...color is only difference. First Texas Products is the company that makes Fisher - Teknetics - Bounty Hunter brands.

    • @rinoldix
      @rinoldix 6 років тому +2

      Watching the air test on your tek-pointer video, the Fisher one seems to be more sensitive, I understand that it might be due to other factors like settings, etc. Anyway I liked this Fisher more, even if both are the same. Received it today and I am really impressed so far. Your excellent videos helped me once more to decide among several brands and models. Thanks Hunter!

  • @Genegenedtb

    well, i wish you had held it closer to the probe so it really would sound off because where you had it to where it just started to sound off i could not hear it at all and i had headphones on. I do have hearing problems so maybe this won't work for me. Thanks for the video.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  6 років тому

      Gene Martin I would unfortunately attribute it to the hearing problem. It was very audible during the video. It does have vibration mode if that would be of help.

    Great looking pinpointer,..one question though,.. does it detect along the entire shaft or just at the tip?

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  6 років тому +1

      Andrew Alford It is 360 detecting of the whole pointer end...not just the tip.

    I do not know if I missed it on the video but how do I ground balance it can someone please let me know

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  3 роки тому

      You can hold it to the ground when you turn it on...however...if a target is within reach it will give you a warning beep. In my opinion the better option is to just quick press the button to "detune" it if it gets ground feedback.

      I really appreciate you following up with me. My go to detectors is a F 75 and a Teknetics T2. I use them both for meteorite prospecting in Canada and the South Western parts of the US. I recently lost my pinpointer about a week ago. I was using a MINELAB Pro-FIND 35. It was so, so. I preferred the Garrett; however, it died on me two years ago. The F-Pulse and the Tek-Pointer seems promising based on most of the reviews I read. When viewing your youtube video it sort of convince me to go this direction. Are you still making videos? I hope so because you do great work.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  2 роки тому +1

      I am unsure. Likely an older firmware model that is having a reset issue. I would contact Fisher since it is still under warranty. They will likely replace with a newer model.
