i get that its a show but if its around 1000 more after the work that's not a lot for 2 mechanics to work 5 days plus overhead

I love watching the makeovers. I suggest you finance yourself a 2000 Pound float at 10%, which would be 200 Pounds per annum, and take the sales pictures after you have done the work to maximise your sales price.
I think the main capitalization is putting together a series of TV-level quality. I think they update the sales photos as they go.

Word from the wise, if you intend to replace gearbox or diff oil, remove the top up bolt before you remove the drain, if you can’t top it up, don’t try and drain it!

Why are 2ndhand cars so cheap in England. The Z3 cost 2ndhand in the Netherlands from 3000€ to 12.000€ or more.

They’re not. £1500 gets you a scrapper (they rot like nothing) like any older prestige car they tend to get owned by people who can’t afford to fix them and problems get worse and they end up worth very little due to papers prices. You could easily have broken that car up and made £3,000…
Usually the more stronger economy has a country the cheaper secondhand car market is, the poorer the country the market is sky high, u pay 10x more for any 2hand car.

Full service? Cabin filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, power stering fluid. And what about the bliker fluid?
BMW do not have blinkeres, I don't remember ever seeing a BMW blinkers working 😅

I agree. I’d be very annoyed if I bid on it thinking it had those nice wheels and turned up to find they have been replaced with cheaper ones.
Why not wash the car before taking photos? It might help to get more hits.

BMW's super reliable??? They must sell those reliable one's only in the UK. In N.America BMWs are great when you buy a new one with a full warranty. Once it's 5 yrs old or so you'd better be prepared for the inevitable large repair bills for all kinds of nonsense. Plastic everywhere on BMWs.

So they work a whole week like dogs to make 250 quid each? WTF? This show is entertaining but totally unrealistic in business terms. They'd make more money working at MacDonalds. Not to mention that doing this with more desirable cars would make much more sense.

I agree Alexander’s comments. Entertaining presentation but not realistic,you have to make enough money to cover overheads, insurance, rental of the workshop, running costs on your vehicles and pay yourselves a wage. The amount of hours you put into a project , you might as well work for an automotive outlet. The other factor is the 5 day deadline. There are instances that more time is required to properly finish a job. And what about your outside life expenses. How are they covered. You guys aren’t making that much money to cover all this. Come on guys reality check😢
