I marked this 'like' for all the efforts the Sheldrick Wildlife does for these elephants to give them a second chance on life. It is very sad though that this elephant died.
She came home to be treated with respect and dignity and not for her carcass to be eaten by lions and vultures. I hope every DSWT elephant will do the same when they know their time has come. RIP, Loisaba. DSWT gave you back 13 years of your life.
This is so woke..the food you eat is life as well. As long as there is an opportunity for both parties its fair in the eyes of nature. Lions and vultures have life as well
Rest In Peace! Loisaba They always come back home for help and that is good. That's what you'll dream do once they go out in the world and if they need help they come back home.
Yes, I'm the same. I don't know why it hurts so much every time I know of an elephant dying for whatever reason. I can't get it out of my head for what seems like months.
With all the amazing work the organisation and keepers do, I think you meant to ask: What did Loisaba die from? I am sure you didn't mean to sound accusatory...
Did she have a twisted gut, like so many that get to her age do? I know that it is not a good thing and many of them loose their battle against illness with this.
Loisaba you found your home ,safely ,care and love .R.i.P sweetheart 💕 💖
Heartbreaking to see.....but she definitely returned to where she felt safe & loved. RIP Little one❣️🏴🇬🇧
I saw this for the first time today. That year was a tough period for me personally, as well. RIP sweet girl. You are missed.
That's so sad, at least she was surrounded by those who cared and loved her in her final moments
She followed her keepers back to the place she grew up with love- that says a lot. RIP Louisaba.

Wow so well said!
So emotional and yet so practical.
Lions and vultures need to eat as well. There is nothing wrong with them sustaining themselves on carcasses of dead animals.

13 years of loving and caring, a few of them in the wild ain't bad. We'll miss you Loisaba :(

Sleep tight Loisaba. No more pain.
Breaks my heart and torn with pain every time I hear about elephant's death, and I don't know why. It deeply makes me sad.
Me too :(
