I just moved into one province in Canada newly with my family and I am the odd one here with locks. I was planning to chop off my long locks because I can't get any hairdresser to do my hair here but thank God I found you in youtube. I will go straight and do this style. thank you so much for being a life saver....I love you so much.

I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! ... I'm so glad you decided to wear the lock knots before you took them out ... that was a lot of work and they came out beautiful ... I'm sure the curls will be nice too

I have one year locs and i am definately doing that to my tiny locs...I was walking around today tempted to chop off my locks for a short hair look but now i have something better to do. thanks Niyya! I have never had anyone talk to me about how and what to do with my loc, i always just do them myself and cross my fingers hopping that they will grow, but now am sticking to you like a leech! all the way from Kenya baby!
I just did my hair like this for the first time almost 2 weeks ago. It took me forever (6-7 hours). I really like it. Just wanted to try something different. I can't wait to take them down to see the 2nd style.

Love this technique. Tried with pile cleaners but retainers kept sticking my scalp. Not sure what I was doing wrong, but will definitely try this one. Loving your videos!
Shalom Niyya, I really like this tutorial. It looks wonderful. I've been doing the pipe cleaners but its labor intensive but your way seems less stressful and I will definitely try this.

I'm in my 7th month and I can say I'm enjoying the journey but I'm looking forward to the length in time. Have you had any issues with build up and if so how do you deal with it or get rid of it? Hi Robin, I've had them in for about a week and I plan to take them down today! Hoping to have the vid up by tomorrow so look out for that. I personally have not had any real issues with buildup because I am very particular about what I put in my hair. Some solutions for buildup are deep backing soda wash or cleansing with Apple Cider Vinegar. I promise to do a vid on my loc journey soon. Follow on IG for #TBT pics #NTLocJourney. I retwist my locs similar I was calling it the wrapping method! It has helped so much with my frizz! I'm going to try this. Thanks for the video!
My favourite lock style, I keep in in for 2 weeks, the curls last for another two weeks. Always get tons of compliment on it.

I finally did this style but I found out that mine are standing out and not lying down like the way yours are. What did I do wrong?

Loc Knots take me about an hour and a half start to finish fresh from the wash.
