I really appreciate the Undertakers appreciation for Jake Roberts! The he was always one of my favorites. I'll never forget the king cobra latching onto the Macho Man.
Hell yeah, Jake The Snake was one of the first wrestlers who I thought was a bit evil and creepy, but I loved him because of that. Jake made me realise that the heels and villains could be WAY cooler than the heroes and baby-faces. I was super happy to see the doc he did with DDP.

I watched the segment where Dutch and James were discussing the possibility of having Taker on their podcast, I know Taker and Dutch have known each other for well over 30 years, it'd be good seeing them having a chat and a catchup together

tbh he is more popular than the rock and stone cold in India even the villagers and the oldies know about him because of the rumours in the late 90s that he came back from death so in terms of popularity nobody is more popular than the undertaker especially in India, even today there are so many old people who have never heard of the rock and stone cold but they do know about The Undertaker
Be respectful of the people who came before you, listen and learn, never be content, never stop learning and growing. All of those things are good advice for life in general, not just wrestling. Thanks for the wisdom Taker. 👍👏
Undertaker deserves to be the greatest of wwe. His character was never made to be the traditional face of a company, yet he made a dead guy character the greatest character in the history of the business, the moment he debut he became a star, Undertaker character was so larger than life it captivated people around the world the kids from 90's used to discuss about him may having 7 lives or how he used to draw his power from that urn. In the 90's wwe hired big monster heels just to feud with the undertaker he was huge attraction in the 90's, yeah he wasn't one of the face of the company but he was just as important or more, he didn't needed the world title to get popular unlike others, he got popular without world title,he was a massive draw for 15 years from 2005 till the end and after 2005 he didn't had to be last match to be the main event wherever he was on the card he was the main event. From 2005 onwards people cared about his legendary streak more than the main event itself he was on top for 30 years. WWE never booked him as a number 1 guy but he sure was the best.As of today there have been 37 wrestlemanias he has been in 27 of them.He united 6 eras of wrestling Golden era, New Generation Era, Attitude Era,Ruthless Agression Era,PG era and new era. He has beaten every major faces of the company like Hogan twice for the world title, He beat Ric Flair,Bret Hart,HBK,Steve Austin and the rock, hhh,Cena, Batista,Edge,Orton. And I was a little kid maybe 6 or so and even though taker has that slow walk I swear he stopped and looked at me I went from brown to white and hid behind my mother😂

But my name is also Mark so seeing this unbelievable big man do stuff nobody was doing like walk the top rope and drop an elbow and having my name made me at 8 or 9 become a fan and when he showed up as Kane the Undertaker in WWF I became an even bigger fan....
I love that this podcast exists. I was devestated when I learned recently that my childhood hero (Goldberg) Actually sucked. But Mark is the real deal.
Yer he kinda did though. Not surprising they gave him the spear as a finisher because of Football that's all he could do lol. But to be fair on Goldberg he really was there because of how intense he was. But couldn't wrestle at all, hence he had very short matches. But i was also surprised when i heard he had no real wrestling skills and Vince only had him as a big guy gimmick.
That shows how much of respect and a gentleman Undertaker is. All the fans know the stories of Hogan beeing backstage after Takers first titel run and saying he got injured in the Tombstone because Taker hold himm too tight (WTF?!). In the worst case that could have ment the end of his career for workers thinking he is unsafe to wreste with. But glady that didn't happen, as others didn't buy Hogans BS. And regardless of that Undertaker puts him on his Mount Rushmore of wrestling. You really have to be the better man to be like that! Kudos!
I'm new here. I was around when you had your debut. My first WWE event in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Market Square Arena, which no longer exists. I know there are many legends, but you have always been my favorite because I grew up watching you perform. Much love and respect for you and Michelle! ❤
Hogans superstardom catapulted the WWF into the mainstream. Stone Cold was the poster boy for the late 90s cultural f you to authority which he then crossed into the mainstream and was known to almost everyone who had a TV. Made so much money the WWF went public. Shawn Michael is the best in ring worker I've ever watched and most wrestlers will say the same even the ones who can't get over him being a dick in the 90s. John Cena ain't the best at anything. The Undertaker is on a different plane of existence. He's not any of those things I just mentioned. He's the phenom. He didn't need a belt to be over. But, he is hands down the greatest CHARACTER in wrestling history. He's separate because he deserves to be separate.
@@MosDefnIT88 I agree, but usually people who have that kind of status in their respective sport or AOR, they are usually considered the GREATEST of all time. And I just think he’s there . I just named those names because you hear them a lot in this kind of conversation.

I’m with Matt. I loved your Mankind feud growing up. You didn’t lose often but Mankind at that time seemed to be your Achilles’ Heel/kryptonite as he was one of the few characters that could match your “darkness.”

My childhood friends who i also watched have passed away. So I have no real connections to this era anymore. So thank u for this podcast. I just hope and pray to meet him one day. Really just to say thank you and shake his hand
Shawn and Bret are why modern wrestling literally is like it is. Technical, high flying, fast paced. Taker's picks had the most outside influence and Shawn and Bret are the most inside influence. Wrestlers are smaller because of Bret and Shawn. Because guys like Punk and Danielson got into pro wrestling because of these smaller more Technical talents.
Getting to watch The Undertaker shoot the shit for an hour or so is actually really awesome. I always loved that he never broke Kayfab so I never imagined this.
My favorite Jake Robert's story is the one where he faked an injury so he could chill at Hart House all day and eat Stu's food. Bret said Stu never found out lol. Stu has always been presented as terrifying (the dude wrestled a tiger) So I can't imagine having the balls to lie to Stu in his own home
It was the fist time I actually started to fear death at that time. Not being scared of it in the sense but that you can actually come back to do whatever you wanted. Lol thanks for all the memories that got better as I got older and understood more about life and the characters in the business. Like when I found out that yous were only playing characters and had real lives and different names outside the business. That's when WWF at the time became everything to me. Anyway I can go on for days but thanks again for giving us your time every week for so many years. You are The greatest ever and the Goat on The Mount Rushmore of wrestling.

Happy to see this podcast doing well. This is on or above the Austin level on caliber of stories and opinion. No ones opinion is more respected in the business than his. I would like to see guests included at some point.
I'm not sure what would make you think he doesn't know wrestling. It seems to me that he greeq up watching it and subsequently had far more exposure than most fans through the man he does the show with.... I would love to hear your stance on why you of all people "know wrestling" more so than the host of the show you are watching....that's about wrestling.... featuring one of the greatest and longest tenured wrestlers of all time... Did you learn more than most watching wrestlemania reruns? I gotta hear this
We’re in pflugerville area I’m from San Antonio but my son he loves watching WWE and I always tell him about matches about the undertaker and show them old wrestlemania and old events. Keep up to good job love hearing the talks on UA-cam.
Mark, i have been a fan since your wwf debut. You and stone Cold are my all time favorite wrestlers. Never stop never stopping. KILL THE LIGHTS. NOW BRING THEM UP!!!
He told that story with Bruiser Brody in detail during his One man show in Brisbane that I recently attend to... everyone loved it, especially when he made his Fritz von Erich impression
Thank You for this absolutely brilliant podcast..it’s insightful, informative and interesting but most of all it’s incredibly entertaining and funny as hell 🙌🙏
24:47 - i love how as soon as MachoMan's name was mentioned, Mark's mouth started to tighten into what i call "Savage face", leading up to his little "yYeah!" in an impression of Randy's voice...
I think Vince noticed the inside tattoo, he just knew he couldnt fire or do nothin because Taker was his man lol prolly one of those things Vince said to himself, i cussed him out and he still did it? Fuck i need him, oh well hes got me lol
It's so cool to think that Paul Bearer was there for Takers first tattoo. P.S. But interestingly enough (not tattoo related), Paul Bearer died while the streak was still intact, so he'll always remember the Undertaker as being undefeated at Mania.
Grew up watching you as a little kid. I remember my dad going onto Google and trying to find any undertaker merch he could get his hands on after the undertaker pulled that crazy fake death stunt probably in like 07' if I remember correctly. I can't believe you have your own podcast now this is so dope! My only concern is that I feel old as fuck now haha. Great content man.
I feel like Mick made more people stars than any other wrestlers. The things Mick did to himself to put people on top in the business. Rock, HHH, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Vader not saying they wasn't famous but Mick helped them alot by hurting himself to help push them. In my opinion most of them had there best matches with Mick in Hell in Cell or Street fight , I quite , Buried alive and not just the match but the promo leading up to the matches where always great.

Should've named either his podcast or one man show Deadman Talking. The entendre of Dead men don't talk or dead men tale no tales.😂
Mick already gave up how yall did the buried alive match, that the dirt mound was hollow under it but they also gave you a little breathing device also.
Keep rollin Rollin Rollin Deadman inc ❤🙏💪💪 I remember seeing you for the first time I'm 33 so I saw the ministry side of you and you scared the shit outta me but I've always loved you my favorite person/wrestler ever.
Happy to see this podcast doing well. This is on or above the Austin level on caliber of stories and opinion. No ones opinion is more respected in the business than his. I would like to see guests included at some point.
Even though the guy doesn’t know wrestling that well he brings a side out of Taker that the world has never seen before and I love that
I'm not sure what would make you think he doesn't know wrestling.
I gotta hear this
Absolute best of all time - always look forward to new episodes
Here after wrestlemania 🎉and definitely showing all I know this pod! Good luck gents!
Y’all missed the built in tag line homage for PrizePicks… “So easy, a Deadman can do it!” 😂
Thank you mark
Thank you taker
We’re in pflugerville area I’m from San Antonio but my son he loves watching WWE and I always tell him about matches about the undertaker and show them old wrestlemania and old events. Keep up to good job love hearing the talks on UA-cam.
Mark, i have been a fan since your wwf debut. You and stone Cold are my all time favorite wrestlers. Never stop never stopping. KILL THE LIGHTS. NOW BRING THEM UP!!!
My forever favourite wrestler the Undertaker
He told that story with Bruiser Brody in detail during his One man show in Brisbane that I recently attend to... everyone loved it, especially when he made his Fritz von Erich impression
First time I saw taker come into the ring on raw I was hooked. He's the watermark. No gimmick will ever be so over IMHO.
Thanks!
26:43 Taker left out the best part about the Savage chair shot and Jake screeching like a dying raptor.
I’m a big fan of your show
Thank You for this absolutely brilliant podcast..it’s insightful, informative and interesting but most of all it’s incredibly entertaining and funny as hell 🙌🙏
Early 90s when Jake was at the funeral parlor and Taker ended up dragging that casket going after him - that was unstoppable Undertaker
The Mick Foley Mt Rushmore: Mick Foley, Mankind, Cactus Jack, Dude Love
I don't know why he don't put his self on his Rushmore because he's done more for the business than anybody in my eyes
24:47 - i love how as soon as MachoMan's name was mentioned, Mark's mouth started to tighten into what i call "Savage face", leading up to his little "yYeah!" in an impression of Randy's voice...
I went to the One deadMan show in Melbourne, Australia. It's was amazing and something I will never forget! Thank you!
The Phenom.
Undertaker is the uncle i've always wanted.
Be careful what you wish for. If you know what I mean 😁
The fact the memories and eras Mark has seen.
Meeting taker in Australia was the best experience and life Time archivement
I would love to see at least one episode to be dedicated to top wrestling court stories of all time!
I think Vince noticed the inside tattoo, he just knew he couldnt fire or do nothin because Taker was his man lol prolly one of those things Vince said to himself, i cussed him out and he still did it? Fuck i need him, oh well hes got me lol
Jake Roberts 🐍 & The Undertaker ⚱️ great throw back matches !
Love listening to the legendary undertaker mark calaway.
It's so cool to think that Paul Bearer was there for Takers first tattoo.
P.S. But interestingly enough (not tattoo related), Paul Bearer died while the streak was still intact, so he'll always remember the Undertaker as being undefeated at Mania.
Favorite wrestler ever, loved you since I was 3 and saw you vs hhh end of a era, your the fucking goat man
I want to hear Undertaker’s history of his finishing moves and how he chose them. Especially the Tombstone!
I got to see Jake back in the 80's and one thing about him, was he was the master of psychology.
I love this podcast. I also wanted to be a wrestler when I was younger but now I’m to old
Grew up watching you as a little kid.
Try being 37, mate! Then you’ll feel old as fuck! 😅
The greatest of all time, my all time favorite, always will be❤... without a doubt the first name I would mention for my Mount Rushmore!!
I hope Undertaker will appear at WM 40.
Undertaker has been my favorite, saludos desde 🇪🇸
"Mr Undertaker." I remember when William Regal called him that.😂
My old boss works for 1st Phorm in the office. Andy Frisella is an awesome motivator with his podcast as well. Hey deadman love this podcast.
The murder hawk monster is under Jake The Snakes tutelage and he is giving off major undertaker vibes
The Undertaker and his "oh yeah!" is cracking me up
‘Taker is Such a Major Dude…..he’s just a Major Dude👍
Jake the snake, the Undertaker and Mankind - all in my top 10 of all time wrestlers
This is great stuff!!
Great stories from a great recantour!
Love the Foley story. Please give us at least one Foley focused episode.
