Concealing before foundation is an old stage makeup trick- to make it longer lasting, especially under lights, etc, spot conceal, foundation, light powder, conceal again as needed, add dimension to the face (blush, contour, highlighter) then lightly powder again. Practically budge proof.
This is a good every day makeup version of the practice.

I am not so good as to have techniques and tricks to share, but maybe you'll consider this a tip: I always do eyes first, then face. It's easier to clean fallout and/or clean the edges (nothing to disrupt underneath) and if I'm having a bad day and decide to remove my makeup, then I just "wasted" product on the eyes, not a full face of products (not to mention wasted time). It's easier to coordinate the cheek and lip colours afterwards.
I've always done my eyes first too. Even brows though I don't do much to them, lol. I know it's the nature of the beast to have specks of glitter just about on every place of your face when using them but doing eyes first helps to lessen the amount. Your 2nd reason is the same for me as well, lol. I hate starting over but should I have to at least it's just one eye (possibly both if I decided to keep going, lol). If I were to do my base first then decide nah, this all has to come off I wouldn't feel right not reapplying all of my skincare again. Which = more lost/used product plus that extra time? Nah, I'll stick with something that's not broken... 👍
@@tammiemartinez6485 yes! Kindred spirits. I don't think there's a right way, face or eyes first, but to me eyes first presents more advantages. Plus I can eat or drink coffee while working on the eyes, as the face absorbs the moisturizer, and then brush my teeth after coffee and before face. It's a while strategy 😂

For the undereyes I use eye lid primer...no eye shadow creasing...so no concealer creasing!!
Do you set the eyelid primer with powder before you conceal?
@@thatsydvicious I personally don't but the amount I use is so tiny and I leave it about 30 seconds to dry

Another creator I watch does this as well. She uses the Elf lid primer that's in the tube. I still have mine but don't use it. It's never worked for my lids because there's really no color to help with discoloration. After seeing her use it many times now I'm planning to do the same. I don't wear makeup everyday but the next time I do you better believe I'm going to give it a shot. Good tip... 👍
For your beauty marks, just match the shade to the beauty mark on your neck. It will always look natural that way. 😊😊
A tip I saw for showing duo/multi-chrome shadows on camera is to show them through a mirror. The reflection of the shadow will translate on camera better and actually show off the different colors. I saw this a long time ago, I don't remember from which UA-camr, but when she did it it worked. 🤷♀️
This is my favorite style of video to watch these days. The different tips/tricks are great to inspire new ways of using the products we already have on hand. The looked turned out beautiful!

So fun to share beauty tips, I've been doing the under eye primer for a while and I love it.. I'm 47 so the lines are coming in for sure..
I also like this a lot. I also feel that the primer helps locking in the hydration of the undereye skincare. This area tends to become a little dry over the day.

I love this series!! Sometimes for the beauty mark trick I use a clean detail brush and just dot away the foundation covering my marks and its even more natural 😁 Or I go over the brown powder with my sponge a little bit!
I always always take my primers up under my eyes, really does make a huge difference. At least for me it does

These videos are so fun to watch and so helpful! I also do the powder in the eyebrows technique because it truly works wonders. It allows the product to stick way better and I work in a humid environment, where I'm constantly getting splashed with water and hair blown everywhere (dog groomer lol).

Omg thanks for the shoutout! :) I tend to use a very small amount of concealer pretty shortly after applying the elf power grip under my eyes, like 30 seconds to a minute after. I hope that helps!

Great video! That eyeshadow class looks fascinating. I think your eye makeup here looks terrific. I've always had good success matching my eye makeup to my eye color which is sort of an aqua blue.

Oh yeah, I always do the puffer fish, it works wonders! I also learned from one of the big UA-camrs (who shall remain nameless because I don’t support them) that setting your under eye by starting at the outer corner helps with creasing.
Yes, putting blush higher does lift your face and I do highlighter high like you mentioned it looks more natural 😊

Somehow I have many dark beauty marks on my face and I'm paler than you lmaao I never put any products over them because it's pointless with how dark and noticeable they are
