Her tone in this one is so amazing and the best version of this song I think I've ever heard because of the way she can bring out the lemon and the despair.... She sounds like she's living the abuse that she clings on to with that romance, if you want to call her that...
Retiring in delays and the silent parts are so amazingly well done... Placed perfectly to set that mood and right along with it is the dystopic way that she plays that piano with the timing and off timing there........ The song is just amazing.

Hi Shakes. Well well well, you finally got to Wicked Game. So glad you enjoyed it :-) After I listened to this cover of hers for the first time, I had to sit in silent contemplation for probably 5 minutes before I could do anything else. She is the most amazing singer I've ever heard and I'm over 50. As one reactor said, maybe it was you, all other singers are now competing for second place because first place is already taken for the next 60 years.:-)

Jordan published the book Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts), which was illustrated by her grandmother, Iranian artist Mery Zamani The book tells the story of her meeting a poor motherless girl in the Middle East who has no shoes. After a long conversation in which they discuss their dreams in life, she gives the girl her shoes and the girl promises to pray for Jordan to fulfill her dream to become a successful singer. According to Jordan the book is based on a real incident that happened when she was six, which she cites as the reason for always performing barefoot.

This among many is one of his most incredible performances for me. She doesn't quite master the piano yet, but enough for her to hit the keys in time with her song idea. Which slows down to the point of becoming obsessive to enhance the narrative. And the indelible memory of this song that I have is linked to the soundtrack of a movie.
I think Angelina could be the soundtrack for many films to come.
And a good to whoever created this video perfectly fitting with Angelina's music.

So glad you were excited to hear this one, what an amazing job Angelina did, just practicing on her piano with her Neumann TLM 102 microphone in her music room one afternoon with this song. Sune Amtoft did a great job with the HD video and sound enhancement. He commented on his channel he had about 50 hours of time in it. Angelina is a gift to us all. This stellar fan video was from Sune Amtoft (sp?) and he did an absolutely fabulous job with the sound...it was not anything like this in the original video...a small but mighty channel for sure!

I'm always here to watch your Angelina reactions. The only other artists I listen to are Home Free. I really love the haunting delivery of this song. I've always loved the original so this was a real treat. So, I'm curious..being a Canadian with a Jazz/Blues background, do you know Sue Foley?
Angelina and her family are immensely wise in how they are pacing her work level, exposure and emerging presence atop the music industry. So many others have made the same mistakes over and over again.
However, IMO I think they should move to Nashville. It has everything the music industry can provide while being far more healthier for any family. It's quite a spectacular place.
she sings this with lamentation and despare and pain in a way that you would think she was a beaten abused partner of a person who she cannot seem to pull away from... so strange that she can do this better than any other cover of this song... IT IS THE WAY it should have been first done.

& as they say the rest is history. (Angie completely stripped it down & played 3-4 cords
on her little piano & WOW !!! Very melancholy, it really fits the story the best with this B&W video by Sune, (Sune did amazing job on this) Angie even liked the video the best & texted him back about it & with lots of hearts & smiley's. Are you still going to show your Aunt?

It had a small Jazz club & intimate feel to it. Very different from the big out door concert & military band. Angie’s 12 here. This was awesome. (this would be an awesome one for your Aunt
