I never really understood the hype. Maybe I was a little too young when I first watched it. It didn't grab me, I almost turned it off halfway through because it just didn't grab me.
@@HoneyKrisp69 That would make sense. This particular video though, I was in on this one. Maybe the actual film is just too meandering and jumping from one thing to the next. Idk, haven't seen it in over 10 years lol
@@HoneyKrisp69I was born late 90s and loved this movie first time I watched it with my family. My mom and dad pointed out most of the references so I learned some things. I kinda empathized with it. Most of it was basic history anyway. And even back then I knew Jenny was for the streets
Bubba dying was one of heart jerking moments ever; Many years ago when I was a full time extra in Los Angeles, I was working on a set where the actor who played bubba was starring in a film; I was a few feet away from him and I had the urge to tell him I loved his character and how incredible of a job he did in it but I was too shy and as extras were not allowed to speak with principals unless spoken to first.
nice, about time you guys got in the trend! I second the Django recommendation especially if you haven't seen it already. The other Tarantino movies are really good as well such as Inglorious Basterds.
Forest Gump is one of my all-time favorites and I simply refuse to believe it's 30 years old.😂😅 After this movie, Gary Sinise started the Lt Dan Band and performed for the troops. He also created the Gary Sinise Foundation which helps veterans and first responders in so many different ways.
@@SkewtLilbttm wow right. And hell, while we’re at it. He was young in The Quick And The Dead. Forgot about that classic with Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe etc.
the accent he made here is the original accent of the Forest kid actor, he's from small town in the US (i forgot) so he can't changes his accent, so then Tom trying to learn his accent instead.
The best part might have been when Lt. Dan asked gump, do you know how it feels to not be able to have or use your legs. I forget the exact line but it hit hard.
I wore the same leg braces as a kid. And yes when mine came off I found out I was very fast. So when I seen the movie I know what was going to happen. I was lmfao I loves it. And being a veteran Forrest when have been an excellent Soldier
I agree, Daz! The Ed Norton film that is often called bad is "The Incredible Hulk", but I actually love that one. I would ad John Lithgow to that list although he may have been in a bad film that I've missed, but I'd be willing to bet he was still fantastic in it, if he was.
Depends on what people like, not exactly a "war" movie, but one I really enjoy is "Uncommon Valor", actually bought (years ago the VHS tape now recently the DVD) this movie based on the description of it BEFORE I had even watched it for the first time! 😊
Saw Gump only once, Mike? You've let yourself down and you don't seem to know it. I would see a few other Hanks films, Saving Private Ryan and Cast Away. Then Green Mile and Miracle on the Hudson.
Forrest Gump is as close as you can get to a perfect movie. It has everything.

Shawshank is more perfect.
Forrest Gump is probably one of my most watched movie. It hasn’t gotten old for me yet
Didn’t realize this was the 30th Anniversary of Forrest Gump. Jesus there’s going to be so many good 30ths next year too.

Don’t forget DiCaprio in Django Unchained. Tarantino’s Western joint from some years back. Superb. 🍻
Agreed!
And Killers of the Flower Moon

Also, there is no such thing as a bad film with Daniel Day-Lewis. All of his films are amazing.
For some reason I feel like I should tip OBM 1 pound 50. Great reaction!
