I was just finishing my warm ups for this afternoon, and this popped up on the screen, so I added it on to the end. What a lot fitted into a short lesson! Also, very helpful, especially with the notes on screen for each section. Although short, there is some good endurance work here. Thank you SO MUCH!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This miraculously popped up after saying to myself that I need to condition my voice. I am a songwriter making my own demos for now. I am very grateful for this!
Hello Dr Dan. Just wondering ... if I did a warm up at, say, 10 am, is OK if I don't actually sing until 2 pm ish, or would I have to warm up again just before 2pm? For example, we're off to see some friends this afternoon for a bit of a jam with our guitars, I've just done a warm up at home and don't really want to warm up at our friend's house (not convenient for them and all that). We'll probably chat and have a coffee before messing about with our songs and guitar so I just wondered if I'd strain my voice if I don't warm up again. Also, do you have any online lessons showing us how to practise vocalizing consonants (sorry for asking that, I ought to look through your playlists)? Finally, I'm struggling to take a breath between practicing techniques, e.g. Voice Essentials 1, Ex 14. My breath intake feels really slow and I usually join in with the piano a second later than I should, thus missing practicing the first note. Is it just a case of beginners forcing themselves to inhale quickly, or are there any exercises we could practise ... sounds a daft question now I ask it, but you never know. Best wishes from the UK. :-)
Hi Dr. Dan- I watched your videos on vocal fold nodules and I have a question. Would I be able to feel the nodules with my finger on my throat? I have a tiny ball on either side of my throat slightly above my Adam’s apple. Thank you so much!!
hello dan - love your content. I'm a beginner and I've never had any sort of training before. I had a question, if I'm more of a lower alto who struggles with higher notes should I use the male warm up instead?
Take your voice beyond the five-minute warmup with my complete suite of vocal exercises - drdan.co/DrDanSuperBundle
😊It helped me prepare for the audition! Thank you

This is so good !!! Thanks !! 😊😘
You're welcome 😊
Hi can you recommend another warm up technique other than the lip rolling as I cannot do this one
Jan, you could try tongue trilling or simply singing an /NG/.
Hi Jan, some people gently place a finger or two at either side of their cheeks and push the cheeks up gently :-)

Thank you so much!!
It is highly unlikely that you will be able to feel any nodules on the vocal folds.
