Hey guys, Do checkout the Lamahatta and Tinchuley video from our day 1 of Darjeeling trip. Also, you can book hotels in Darjeeling as per room tariff. As I mentioned, our room rate without food would be Rs 2.4k, and its upto you if you want to include the food package or not. The hotel I stayed at was Hotel View Point (I didn't recommend it because it was too expensive, given the quality of the room also their were issues with the washroom. You will find better hotel options at a reasonable price) I have shared my experience in the video for you to make a better choice while you plan your itinerary.

There are many ways to reach Darjeeling from Siliguri/NJP, the one you took Pankhabari is one way, another way is through Rohini Road which is bit quicker than Pankhabari and there is another route which the Toy Train takes. All three joins at Kurseong halfway point, which is 30Km before Darjeeling. There are other routes as well through Mirik etc which doesnt pass through Kurseong.

There ar many travel agents in internet and they are asking for full advance booking...I am not sure to give money in advance considering fraudulent factor
Hotel reservations can be made directly through booking.com or other reputable websites. For taxi services, you may search online for Tour Cabs with positive reviews in Darjeeling. Alternatively, upon arrival, you can negotiate with local taxis for sightseeing tours and available options there. Travel agencies may charge higher than the actual cost but it's your call entirely.

I have many Nostalgic memories with Darjeeling.
मैं पहली बार दार्जिलिंग अप्रैल 2003 में गया था अपनी हनीमून ट्रीप पर।
दिन में लंच तक हम घूमते थे फिर आराम करने के बाद शाम को माल रोड पर मक्का और पकौड़ी ☕ चाय।
दार्जिलिंग की स्टीम इंजन वाली टोय ट्रेन का और दार्जिलिंग स्टेशन अपने होटल से दिखाई देता है
वैसे मै तीन बार दार्जिलिंग गया हूँ।
इस गर्मी में फिर एक बार जाने की सोच रहा हूँ

@@MandyMisra Yes, but nowadays the wooden houses of Darjeeling Town concerted into Concrete House. Which is nearby places of Darjeeling where I can stay to enjoy Darjeeling as well as offbeat.
By the way ask your father about Land Rover which was running as Taxi in Darjeeling at the time of your first visit in 90s
