It seems that Costa Rica is far ahead of most other country in the world in preserving their natural environment. They preserve 25% of their tiny country as it existed for millennia. That's intelligence.
Thank you for that Costa Rica, paradise will be their for a very long time. Control the tourists to preserve it, not the natural habitat.

I've been to Costa Rica 3 times, but not as a tourist. The people are friendly, the country is beautiful. One can go from Atlantic ocean to Pacific in one day! There are beaches, desert, and cloud forest, and can all be seen in one day! We are thinking of retiring there on a finca (a small farm).
