- hi everyone, long time no see ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ in today's video i'm turning myself into a mengqi drawing, using only makeup! mengqi is an artist who i discovered on instagram a few weeks ago, and i instantly fell in love...so naturally i wanted to turn one of their artworks into a makeup look.
gotta say i enjoyed the challenge. doing calligraphy on your face isn't easy!

Dark brown eyeshadow (i have no clue what eyeshadow i used. i'm honestly confused what i even used lol)
NYX gel eyeliner in black
MAKEUP GEEK corrupt eyeshadow
NYX double stacked mascara
EYLURE grand glamour lashes customized with paper
NYX gel eyeliner mixed with duraline to make it run more like ink
LORAC PRO 2 palette cool gray eyeshadow
the white blending brushes are from chikuhodo (gsn-10). all of my smaller, more detailed brushes with black handles are either from coastal scents or morphe. the blue liner brush is a kryolan round 5 face painting brush.

Not really spooky, but maybe some Nightmare Before Christmas inspired looks? I've loved this movie since I was little and it would be cool to see some shironuri version of the characters, like Jack Skellington since his "face" (technically a skull) is already white.
Ooooh, we stan a queen that stans Dickinson. 😍 Seriously though, it blows my mind that you were able to achieve a bleeding ink effect, as if your skin were calligraphy paper. I can’t imagine the amount of finesse that takes. I was watching that thinking back to earlier today when I was getting frustrated at the fact that my liquid liner bled all over my lid after I was done with my eyeshadow and thinking how easy you made your friggin face calligraphy look 😂
TuttiTunes it's a bit of a nightmare if I may be honest - especially since I'm near sighted and couldn't see what I was drawing clearly 😬 Challenges are good though!

I had listen/watched this while combing out my hair today. I haven't really gotten out of bed this past week and I just shoved my hair into a bun while it was tangled and dirty. Today I realized how tangled and messy my hair was so I decided to fix it and I finished brushing it while watching this. This video was so calming and peaceful, and I almost started crying because at the top of my head it was so messy I couldn't brush it. I listened to the video and I kept brushing and my hair is all smooth now. I just wanted to say you are very calming and it really helped. Also I'm not just gonna leave out how the look you did was incredible! Anyways thank you and your pretty awesome 🖤🖤🖤

Skywarp's Maiden from what I've seen it does - but if you're looking for face paint recommendations for darker skin, I'd recommend checking out heirofglee too 🙂
