thanks and sick, the aspect ratio has always been weird for me as my computer has a horizontally slimmer monitor. Theres some possible work arounds i can think of though that I can try

@@AbsurdCleric67 I found when watching that the black bars at the side were off-putting. if you set the video's aspect ratio to the same as your monitor you could fool the audience and get rid of the black bars.

in all honesty im not really sure, I think it may just be a weapon feel thing for most. what I went with was 11331 with the aggressive venting oc. This was to make it as close to the doom plasma rifle as i could get. I feel like the fire rate upgrade is very important to improving the weapon feel and performance tho

I'm a relatively new player, so take this with a grain of salt, but acquiring and building for Overtuned Particle Accelerator made a huge difference in how usable the Drak feels to me. Previously, it felt like it was just outperformed by my Compact Ammo / Precision GK2 at all ranges. Now I have it built for thermal feedback loop concentrating on cooling and damage and when I get a good rhythm going at high heat, it seems like it outputs a disgusting amount of damage. I absolutely would not pair it with Double Barrel Boomstick, though. It goes through ammo relatively quickly and it says something that the accuracy is so bad my non-overclocked Zhukovs are better at medium to long range than it is.

You gotta keep 1 thing in mind: no matter what you do to the drak, you won't be able to make it competent enough for long-range, the other primaries outperform it there.
For solo/self sufficient play, aggressive venting 11111 is great, it gives you all the horde clear you need, and it pairs well with the Boltshark, the crossbow becomes your primary sniping tool for flying enemies and other long distance threats.
-Pheromone bolts allow you to very reliably and safely clear hordes, by applying it onto a praetorian or grunt guard and then aggressive vent 'em down.
-You can take magnetic shafts as drak can apply electric debuff quite reliably, even at range, so you get to benefit from the homing and damage boost with the crossbow's regular bolts, even at long range.
Using cryo bolts enable you to selectively temp shock, since agressive venting applies heat, while regular plasma shots don't. This also potentially enables you to pick IFGs instead of cryonades, but cryonades are still better for mactera threat. IFGs make agressive venting safely a breeze, and they also increase the hostile density for fire spreading purposes.
Alternatively you could go for the trifork volley overclock and absolutely delete high priority/tanky targets, but you'll need to rely on your rifle more for squishier things like webspitters or mactera spawns.
While most players in the community prefer to use M1k rifle as primary and use aoe secondary or leave it to their teammates, drak is nice for mixing it up once in a while.
