  • My experience using locust posts for pole buildings and fence for 15+ years. During this time, I've never had to replace a single post.

You can use used motor oil, wax or a bar of soap to lube up the nails or screws before you drive them in. I've found that was useful to keep them from bending or breaking.

Good stuff, man! I can see how carrying those posts around can be a great workout.

Your mic needs to be free to pick up sound, if anything is in close proximity to it a shirt, jumper, coat the mic will pick up the sound of the rubbing across, have black locust thanks

Thank you. I ended up buying one of the fluffy covers and I still ended up with background noise and so that's good to know that I need to adjust the positioning.
Good luck with the locust. The American Chestnut was once the go-to for lasting forever but since they're all but extinct, the locust, in my opinion, is the next best thing.

I'm about to build a fence with some locust posts myself so this was a great video.
What area of PA are you in? I'm northeast and have plenty of locust trees to cut.

Those are all black locust. I don't have any honey locust on the property and so I'm not sure how they fare compare to black locust.
