I almost did my masters thesis on it, but alas none of my professors were interested in supervising the study.

Dang they were missing out. I would have supervised it if I was one of your professors cuz that sounds pretty interesting, although maybe that's just because I'm biased. Honestly I thought the same thing when Hex showed up last year, just "Hoooo boy this is gonna be a fun time" (and it has been)

Literally it was almost concerning how quick I went from hard sobbing to those sad dog tiktoks to a smile when I saw the notif 😭😭 Anyways love you and your videos Emily :D
as a diehard Emily stan, you absolutely devoured this video (and everything else)
From someone who used to be really into VTubers, parasocial relationships are so bizarre and it's interesting to watch them develop in real time. I was there when LUXIEM first formed and when I saw Vox I was like "oh.......oh that's going to be fascinating". I almost did my masters thesis on it, but alas none of my professors were interested in supervising the study.
omg i find it so weird going back and watching clips of my old favorites and people are literally roleplaying as the vtubers in the comments, writing like borderline fanfiction...??? like the way specifically international fans treat vtubers like theyre fictional and cant possibly see this stuff is so weird..
@@lovesick_loser Sometimes the livers give permission for stuff like that to a certain degree. And some people don't know how to follow rules. Don't get me wrong, at times it can be hard remembering different rules across different livers like who's okay with shipping and who isn't or who doesn't like being tagged in NSFW stuff, but other people just disregard the rules because they feel like they're special or for attention
Dang they were missing out. I would have supervised it if I was one of your professors cuz that sounds pretty interesting, although maybe that's just because I'm biased.
Honestly I thought the same thing when Hex showed up last year, just "Hoooo boy this is gonna be a fun time" (and it has been)
Ok, but standing over the body of someone you just had killed and rapping
'This one is for the boys with the booming system, top down ...'
needs to be a movie scene.
Seems like something Harley Quinn might do.
lana del ray stans when someone doesn't know why he loves her heart-shaped sunglasses 🔫😄
FRRR THEYRE SO RUDE
FINALLY SOMEBODY POINTED OUT HOW CRAZY LANA STANS ARE
@@blackalisondilaurentis1996 don’t get me started on Taylor fans 🫢
@@futura.a I'm a swiftie and I agree, honestly I want to not be associated with this fandom.
I lost my shit the minute Mrs. Bussie BlouUp Von Quiif Sixty-Nighn stated her full legal name it was too close to home 😭😭💀
I started like kpop last year and i was shook about how people treated the artists like they are not humen and just a puppet of entertainment, good thing i dont obsses over thing and i just like their music, and dont focus on idols lives
It’s like I know most K-pop stans are teenagers but I still think their behavior is unacceptable, even if they’re kids they should know better
one of the most recent kpop scandals are the idols watching an anime that is publicly available on multiple streaming sites and getting labeled as pedophiles for it based on one viral tweet with inaccurate translations
as a swiftie i was on twitter briefly and it was hell. some of these people were actually insane
I don't trust anyone who calls themself a "swiftie."
we need to talk more about selena gomez stans😭 unhinged behavior
I'm a stan and I completely agree with you. People think that celebrities will not even make a small mistake and try to defend everything and don't let them take responsibility for their mistakes!
Like wtf they're human let them be treated like one!
P.s: I KNOW that sometimes for being a celebrity their small mistakes are criticised as if they've committed a crime, and my words still are true for this situation too. They should be treated like any other human being in these matters.
Emily always posts at the perfect time! I’ve got an hour drive ahead of me and Emily is there to entertain me!
Finally someone mentioned how insane Swifties are
they are insufferable
As a loona Stan I love this video, you should totally make a video about fan wars love it!
Any updates on Loona's legal battles? Hoping they get away from BlockBerry soon!

Whenever Emily posts it’s the highlight of my day
This is so funny because I just read a comment on one of Daniel Thrasher's shorts that literally said, "You're the only thing that makes me smile." My immediate thought was don't put that pressure on him. Please find something else in your life that brings you joy. You might know these people's content, but you don't know them.
I recently randomly remembered the ”maybe if you stanned Loona this wouldn’t have happened” thing and was all of a sudden shot back to 2019...
People who still stan Kris Wu and Seungri from Big Bang.. like what the heck I'm scared of you
I didn't see much people still stanning Kris Wu but damn the amount of seungri apologist on Twitter is insane, i thought they disappeared but there's tweets with thousands of likes defending him
as a professional orbit and nctzen the wars that happen between these fandoms are concerning.
THE TWITTER NAME IS TOO MUCH 😂 , also love your logic 😭 because it couldn’t be said so well
Nothing like a little cultlike celebrity worship to spice up a fandom😊
The sudden hate swifties have towards joe alynn is very weird tbh
Like yall don’t know the full story, the fact that other celebrities unfollowed him doesn’t make him the worst dude in the world, especially when all of these celebs are close friends to Taylor lol
so glad joe alwyn escaped the clutches of that witch

OMG EMILY POSTED A NEW VIDEO THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
Thanks Emily. Your videos are helping this aging old guy keep at least a little in touch with younger people and modern times, your eloquence, insight, and clever banter are amazing, and you make me truly smile.
everytime i see loona in one of these stan culture videos i chuckle because sometimes i forget how impactful they were on twitter in 2018-2020
I used to be a dream smp stan, and this vid sums up my experience with the fandom (specifically on twitter)
The gays and a lot of teenage girls need to watch and learn from this video
I totally agree especially being an ARMY I always see one blink posting something and the same thing goes for ARMYS in a blackpink video and of course this is just an example but you literally can’t deny this always happens and it’s super toxic, like seriously we should have so much more to worry about than some K-pop stans fighting about who is better but now it has become so bad people are threatening to boink each other. I’m sure decades ago this would not be something we though would’ve happened. 😂😂😂😂
thank you bro i LOVE lana’s music but some of her stan’s are terrifying
Fck u say about Lana?
@@onikalyons9968 her fans are annoying. Didn’t say nothing about Lana herself. Get a grip

As flat STANly I approve this message
*Me, who is obsessed over fictional characters:* People who obsess over celebrities like their life depends on it concern me ngl
The way the skits had me cracking up 😂 you are a true comedian
atp idc what you talk about bc your acting makes it so easy to listen to lol, keep it up!
I used to be a kpop Stan years ago and I left the Stan Twitter even though I do check Twitter and keep in touch with post (it’s probably have to do with my addiction) and I never understand these fans ..fighting each other and all that battle :// it’s weird I remember getting pissed about them
this is why i enjoy fandoms for fictional stories more than actual people so i can defend my wife even though she may or may not have like, idk, killed people but who cares? she's hot and fictional
This also applies now with Colen Bowlinger and her child stans
i love how you quoted super bass and how i don't even know super bass except for that one line

As a Bella Ramsey Stan, I dedicate my life to this human 😭 but if they were to do something horrible i would switch up immediately, I have to go extreme levels defending them sometimes because the things people say about this 19 year old ARE CRAZY 😧
This reminds me of football team supporters in a war against the supporters of another team.

He constantly $&*?ed with me at work, putting in complaint reports, spreading rumors about me, like it was grade school, and I couldn't fight back because he was besties with the boss.
Being a stan sounds so exhausting. Iike I LOVE watching jerma985's streams, but I could NEVER get into a huge fight with someone and doxx them because they didn't think the McChicken bit was that funny, that's just delusional
one day emily will acknowledge my undying stan for her. this is normal right!?!
Hi Emily! Never heard that term before, sounds the same as fanboy. I don't put anyone on a pedestal.
