Yes, extremely cool just to see contours to help with the structure side of things where they are relating to + not giving up your spots. Win-win situation!!
Nick, you gotta tell us how long the fish is we don’t care how much they weigh but how long they are. Give him a quick measure. We can see if they’re fat or not the way you hold them up to the camera thanks,BIG VINNY.
Hey Nick, really appreciate these uncut videos. Being new to livescope and side imaging, it’s extremely helpful to get to see your tactics for finding different spots and working those areas. Honestly, all of your videos with your very detailed explanations on various presentations and strategies have been extremely helpful. Keep up the great work, and thank you.
I spend a lot of time scoping. I'm thoroughly impressed with your casting accuracy and how lined up you have your transducer dialed. It ain't easy landing your bait on the screen every time.
I'm new to FFS and trying to gain the confidence to give it a real effort. I think these videos are very helpful for me to gain some patience. Thank you keep them coming.
Great video Nick. This is the exact content that I'm looking for. I don't want to watch someone hoist fish after fish. I'm year 3 into active target and STILL learning. Your casting ability (accuracy) is amazing. Please keep making these type of videos. Possibly add maybe some reaction type baits in the future. Thanks!!
Agree with everybody else. This is a useful, how to fishing video. In order to learn how to use forward facing somar you need to see long, uncut clips like this. Nice job!
Great seeing another raw video. These are my favorite. Find myself crossing my fingers for you to get them to bite. Learn a lot from these videos. Hopefully we will be able to put some of it to good use when we come to Minnesota from Indiana in October to fish.
Excellent video of some great old school walleye fishing. Love that you show it all step by step. Gotta get my son to watch. I shiver minnow or spoon bait the bay of Green bay but gonna do a day of old school now. Thank you Nick!!! Still watching at 1 hr 53 min. Lol
The fishing may have been slower than you'd hoped for this video but thats reality. I very much appreciate the view of both maps Very good video. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
Still watching can't find my sad emoji . Nice to watch your vids. The real deal . Keep making them and I'll keep watching. 30 below Mike from Alberta signing off.
I liked seeing the raw videos, its nice seeing how often a pro actually catches fish and the thought process involved. What did people do before live scope lol
Love the video Nick thanks for the lesson ,learn quite a bit listening. to your lessons ,what a beautiful lake ,keep up with the great vids in GOD's country Minnesota Heartland ,GOD bless
Lol.. When you watch them ignore your offerings all winter ice fishing, and then torture yourself throughout the summer watching livescope rejections, your a true walleye fanatic, good or bad I'm not sure;) I chase everything from Panfish on up!
I made it thru! Now, please do a 10-15 minute video on your set-ups.. rod/reel/ line/ leader, hardware, knots etc.. for, lets say 3-5 of your favorite summer set ups (jig, drop shot, slip bobber etc) I have a ton of gear/ baits, but very little experience in warm water/ walleye fishing.. and I now live in the Midwest, after 25 years living high in the Colorado mountains ;)
Love the vids! What are your Livescope settings.? You have that dialed in. I’m on Enemy Swin in SD which is also a very clear lake. Just can’t seen to get any detail past 60 ft. I do have the LV 34 also.
I would probably run through my settings at some point, but idk that I’m doing anything special. Sometimes when folks have issues, they sometimes have damaged cords or a damaged transducer. Check that your transducer is one tick up when you’re in forward mode. I would also highly recommend factory resetting your unit if you can’t figure anything out.
Kraken 63, 8612xsv lvs34 & NBT being installed right now. Trying to learn as much as I can before getting wet. Is the green line on mapping your chosen calibration setting or the LVS34 direction? Been a Linder fan since the “Midwest Outdoors” days! Thank you for passing on the knowledge. 11:34
You’re going to have a sicker setup than me once you have that thing in the water. That’s actually just a screen recording of Lakemaster maps on my phone. Idk if there’s a good way to calibrate that with the phone, so I’m just stuck with the wacky green line for now.
@@NickLindner I’m 56 and realized at a young age that a 26 minute fishing show was likely a week of footage. Social ffs videos portray “instant results” with no mention of editing! Thank you for showing the realtime aspect. I keep checking the App Store, but still no app for common sense. Thank you.
@@SeanBrown-b9r I understand why editing exists, but oftentimes it sets unrealistic expectations for folks when they finally get a free weekend to go fishing. I’ll still do my fair share of “normal” videos and social media posts, but I want to continue doing these, too, so folks can sit back and observe how it really goes down on the water.
😢I think having tracking on in the gps view would be helpful to see how fast you move through a spot. It could also be informative to see the direction of the live and how you are scanning. Great video!
How often do you get skunked if ever? Do you do any trolling without using livescope? The RAW uncut videos are few and far between on youtube and are BY FAR the best educational material for fishing you can get on the internet so you are a genius for making them, but i think if you did one while trolling crankbaits/bottom bouncers with no livescope that would also be extremely interesting 👿
The skunk is fairly rare. Some days are really hard, but generally you can scratch out something. Generally, if I skunk it’s usually going to be when I’m experimenting with new tactics or new spots or trying random lakes to see if they have big walleyes. I don’t do much trolling anymore, outside of night fishing, but I’d like to do more of it and make some content.
It's called fishing, not catching. Sometimes the scenery is the highlight of the trip. When you're fishing a lake with minimal/no weeds, where do you look for 'eyes?
Its funny how theres a million whiz bang baits and fisherman still got with a hook and a worm 90% of the time. With those walleye chasing bait i would try one of those heavy jigs with the treble hook on the bottom and single hooks built in to the other two sides. I usually troll but that would make a boring video
@@NickLindner keep it up. I learn and pay attention a ton more now and take my fishing to the next level watching you! Ned jigs with the Z-MAN and crush city has been on fire lately on Winnebago.
We added a zoomed in map for this video. Did you find this valuable? Should I keep it in there for next time?
@@NickLindner yes I really liked the map, maybe zoom it out a bit more to see more of the piece of structure?

Wow, thanks for the kind words! My #1 goals are to be honest and helpful
Really digging this video format. This is REAL fishing and super informative!
Thanks mark! It seems to be a decent format for learning. Kinda like looking over someone’s shoulder while they are doing it.

Will do! Patience is key, especially with walleyes.
Love the uncut vids, I feel like I learn way more.
Thanks for watching. I’ve always felt like I learned the most watching over someone’s shoulder as they fish

Great vid again man! Keep these live uncut ones going! Makes work more bearable haha
Hahaha, glad I can help reduce the suffering!

Great video! What are you powering your livescope with..I notice 15.9V.
48ah lithium battery. The lithiums will run these units at a higher voltage for whatever reason.
perfect format call you tell me which garmin chartplotter your using
This is a GPSMAP8610. The main reason I have the expensive unit is so I can record the screen for these videos.
Awesome videos I also fish central mn and most lakes I fish they won’t touch it or will spook if I get within 50 feet of them
Walleyes are so dang stingy

Lakemaster mapping
I have had hundreds of fish snub my bobber and leech this week
Sounds like some typical walleye behavior! Haha

Hopefully your eyes didn’t wander to the livescope screen too often haha

😢 I watched the entire video. Lots of sunny's on my lake I have to fish walleye at night after the sunny's go to bed
Makes sense! The sunnies can be a pain in the butt. I try to avoid them

It has its time and place!
It’s fun watching real world fishing rather than just the catching 😢😖

Good! Hopefully it can help in your scenario

Unfortunately, yes it is. Easy for me to justify because I fish a LOT. Tougher for folks who don't do it constantly like me.
