    Gate's best feature is the soda vending machine directly next to the Sec department portal.

    Gate is a port from the Russian SS14, originally made by Ed - the same person who added anomaly infections, the "Friendship", custom burgers and tacos, shuttle events, thief beacons and some other stuff.

    My first round on this station i was a HoS and 2 syndies had to protect me (with an extra 3rd needing to help one achieve half of its goals) so now for me its headcannon that the gate HoS has ties with the syndicate.
    Now on actual notes, PA room being spaced is an issue, individual power is fun and all but solars don't work half of the time and atmos seems to be missing some gas chambers, most noticeably the plasma one.

    Honestly, the engineering situation looks fun. You'd get to wander around each station and check in, making sure shit works

      No... No.
      The main issue is there is not enough near power generation for each department and half of the time there isn't enough engineers on station anyway.
      God forgive an engi rolls antag or gets spaced due to the exterior singulo setup (with only one rad collector and one you have to fetch from fucking maints)
      Engi already has so much work on any shift. This just makes other non-engi crew pick up the slack that happen to know any engi to keep up.

    I wish I would ever see gate in play. Its 5 or 7 stations glued together. Its beauty. I imagen it is very painful to play.
    I imagen security may asks engineering to add blastdoors to the gateways at the hub. Given, Blastdoors are agurably the EASIEST to breach doors to breach, since the lack of access restrictions really hurts their security.
    I do fear it splits the departments to much. Maybe the Taxis fix it, maybe you get security returning a tider-stolen shuttle with holes every five minutes to engineering.
    Take the Core of Gate, stuff in the other departments, and make it the new Reach(-ish). Cause I like that shape.
    Gate Anomalies feel intimidating to me. So much space nobody ever goes to that COULD hold a anomaly going critical at any moment.
    Somehow, I feel like a CE is gonna put a Engineer into charge of each department and drive around a shuttle with all the assitant engineers to fix things. It feels like it will make engineering very strict, more so then sec. May Tiders with Mats be honourable and fix minor damages, or Engineering gets a drinking problem like its Oasis.
    Medical scares me on a good day. On Gate, I fear they will start a all out war with the RD for the Hand Teleporter so they can at least spare themself the flight back. Research is gonna steal the silver out of your walls.
    Securia is INSANE. Affectionate.
    People probably gonna go to Evac using shuttles. The EVAC shuttle itself BETTER has a bunch of docking points and non-docking exterior doors with catwalk along them so one can spacewalk into it even when shuttlespark around it...
    I still think the best thing you can do to Cog as a CE is to force the Atmosians to set up a Teg before Distro so you have power until you can run the CHAPEL TESLA! Sadly, most chaplains drag their feet about allowing THE GREATEST LIGHT OF ALL at their altar.
    Unrelated note, this map? Not Ratking Friendly. No way to move around WITH the servants, I beleive.

    I would really like to see the locations of Singulo/Tesla and Central Atmos get swapped.
    The Singulo/Tesla would be significantly less space-exposed, while Atmos receives more room to set up the TEG and work on side projects.

      I feel like the one issue that would help a lot is the 'connections' or substations get extended or reworked. The plastitanium connections are ***fine*** given of course you dont want to disconnect the sectors, but at least make the insides of them walkable or give them HV wiring.
      Lacking the power generation power on each department is fiiine if engi has easy or accessible ways to fix it. The sheer amount of resources needed for stable power and GOD FORGIVE any sabotage, is too much.

    Gate has...issues. Each section having its own distro and power can be pretty frustrating for engineering. And when engineering is frustrated, so is everyone else.
    However, I did attack the station and the nukie. Between the different shuttles doing bumper carts and firefights through portals, it was a pretty unique experience.

    As a station AI main on goob(which gets admemes daily) i fucking HATE this map, they gotta add ai warping. You can only realistically see sci,med and lobby

    Don't make engineering's job harder round start?
    Because I have one glaring complaint about gate, whoever did the engineering for it, did bad, should feel bad, and should be banned from NT architecture for their failures as an engineer.
    If engineering wants to power the station everyone has to run to every different section to turn on the air and setup solars and even then sections will lose power when the solars get blocked, there is a reason stations have continuous power grids so engineering can setup a singularity or teg that can power the station all the time, not when the sun lines up with the section, but for some godforsaken reason engineering only powers engineering, and we would have to somehow rip up half the connection maints to run hv to the power grids so people can actually get continuous power.
    I would rate this station a failure in execution of design, you do not make engineering's job hell, the game does that enough already.

      ​@@PseudoGuido I enjoy solving engineering problems that need solving as CE and not following a unique routine every time on roundstart, and having an INSANE routine on gate of wiring up every department/giving each department their own power generation with a rad collector is just far too much work at roundstart
      god pray that there isn't some big antag stuff like revs, zeds, nukeops, or just some very chaotic antags that give you EVEN MORE WORK and now sec is screaming that they have no power again.
      And.... despite the shuttles bugging out and not working half the time, HOW IS ENGINEERING THE ONE DEPARTMENT WITHOUT A SHUTTLE GIVEN THE SETUP????
      Two rad collectors roundstart with one hidden abandonned in sci... fuck me lad. Pray for engi if cargo isn't willing to help out.
