Looks and sounds great! The stock pickups were okay, but I went ahead and upgraded mine to some Seymour Duncan Alpha and Omegas. Very happy with them.
I know what you mean. Seymour Duncan makes some great pickups have some in my Washburn
bought this guitar a few years back and it’s a fucking beast man it plays way better than how much it is

I think the stock pickups are also very good. If you don’t have a complete cheap guitar with shitty pickups you don’t need to switch the pickups. The only weakness of the emgs is the neck. So i would put a single coil in this position.
Yeah the stock pickups are great! The only problem was they were really quiet when playing clean.
@@ChiefSweet my problem with the emgs is. the 85 in the neck isnt so good. I would like to have a p90 type of humbucker in it. But i cant find any. Perhaps a single coil will do it. But Im not sure how it sounds if both pickups are activated. The idea of schecter is great. I love the sustanica in the neck position.

Stock pickups were good distorted, cleans were super quiet. The emgs rounded the tone so it wasnt shrill and the cleans were really good

For opening up Vol. and tone Control holes i bought a cheap tapered reamer. A lot of the Alpha pots or import have smaller diameter than the CTS and other usa made pots. The tapered reamers seams to do a good job without chipping the paint. The white looks great on your guitar good choice.

That’s exactly right man!! My brother is into cars big time ! Can take one completely apart and put back together again with no problem! But I’m a guitar man! I’ve built guitars , upgraded guitars and whatever else .. it’s just my thing lol. After I explained it my family finally understands lol.

Nice video! I have a Jackson Dinky JS22-7 and EMG81 and the pickup won't fit in the cavity. Its proud either end by 3mm... Is it game over or can I dremel the cavities etc?

I prefer stock pickups
The distorted stock sound was amazing but clean was terrible. It was so low output you could barely hear the high strings. That was it’s only problem

How did you route for the pickups to fit in the other guitar shown around 5 minute mark?
Recently bought a emg 81 7h for my 7 string the one concern I have is if the pickup will fit in the pick up will fit because the pickups are direct mounted and are regular humbuckers

What do you recommend more?, EMG or a seymour duncan?, I want to make the improvement but I am afraid to spend money on something that is not very different, I have the same guitar and I want it to sound like an iron label and with quality cleaners, the pickups out of stock have too much gain and sound very dirty
That depends a lot on what you want to play. I like emgs because I play a lot of metal not really anything clean. I have a les Paul and strat with Seymour Duncan’s they sound amazing clean. They also sound great with gain but I think EMG is better.

@@ChiefSweet damn the stocks aren't bad, the Ltd ones were a bit bright and slightly thin. Emgs are still an upgrade 👌
do you actually make enough cartoon noises on the trem to warrant punishing yourself with making tuning and changing strings bigger pains in the ass than they already are

I feel like a dick saying this man but the Jackson dka for $200 just looks better (satin not glossy, never like glossy). The Ibanez just looks fruity and generic. But good video kind of!
