Got this drill, it's a little powerhouse! Hasn't stopped for anything
Working with this device is comfortable, but you have to remember not to overheat the engine until the first moment because the second overheating may result in less power and TGM wear
How is this tool holding up? Thinking of buying it but kinda on the fence. Bought a brushed makita drill+driver combo kit a couple years ago, and the drill sh*t the bed a couple weeks ago from pretty light duty, occasional home-game use.
Ddf485 is definitely worth it. Brushless motors are just that much smoother. Mine is holding up fine
Got this drill. Excellent drill

The balls on this one …
Sold! looks like a capable lighter companion for my DDF481 beast
Excellent test! I almost took the DeWalt DCD701 but seeing this I realized that this Makita at a similar price aprox 180eur with 2accu 3Ah, charger and case is a much better deal. Single downside is that Makita is a little bigger but with 3Ah I see is more capable and last longer. Good test, thank you!
Thank you too for watching
180 euros for DDF485 with 2 x 3Ah batteries with charger and bag? Must be stolen for that price 😋
The most fragile part of a drill bit is where the flutes end next to the solid shaft. This chuck forces one to send tiny drill bits, so they bottom out in the chuck, sometimes with 1/4" of the flutes held by the jaws. That's a _terrible_ design Makita! The user should be able to determine how far in the bit should be gripped by the chuck jaws. Sometimes with short drill bits, a user may 'cantilever' the bit, nearly out of the chuck jaws for a special usage depth.
The first bit is makita gold?
Yes
hi sir.. can this chuck lock?
If the question is whether the chuck has an autolock, yes.
does this need swith to 2? i mean icon 1 or 2 that have on top of drill.. my drill only not loose when lock to icon 2 on top of drill
Japan or china?
Romania
😂@@ToolTest But luckily designed in Japan
