- I played every evolution game and I'm gonna save you a lot of time.
It turns out there are quite a few evolution based games out there, so hopefully this video helps in your search for the best one.

I actually worked on an evolution based game in college. It used a Space Invaders gameplay style with the creatures evolving every round based on your play style. I believe it's still on Steam as Darwin's Demons.
Gave it a shot - it's pretty interesting. Although you kinda get spoiled for choice considering everything is unlocked from the get-go.
@@GenieInABox Yeah, we wanted to do a progressive system for unlocking things but ran out of time. We only had the summer (about 3 months) to build everything from scratch so we didn't have time for some of the features we wanted to add. 😅

3:01 that tree is what I'd imagine spruce trees to look like in that one old version of minecraft. you've probably seen the old oak trees before. the trunk is normal but for the leaves it would be a line up, right, left, front, and back. if we had spruce trees in that version and it wasn't limited to cubes I'd imagine a spruce sapling to look like that.
