Thank you David, very kind. In all photos I’m using a Leica M (240). Almost every shot is made with a Summicron 35mm lens. I use Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro to edit, that editing process never takes longer than a minute. I don’t have the patience or aptitude for post production. It’s very minor tweaks in Lightroom, convert to black & white and done.
Hi Richard. Thank you, but I know you won’t be thanking me for the music! It’s free with iMovie when I make a slideshow… believe me, I’d choose something way different.
Kong Abda Thank very much for taking the time to look and your comment. Hugely appreciated. Perhaps I’ll make a video soon, but my video skills aren’t great!!
Cheers Jeff. Yep, pulling out the old well worn photos. I will create a new slideshow to coincide with my blogposts, definitely, well probably, maybe. On that same note I might shoot some videos...who am I kidding, videos are well over my pay scale!
great images...it seems to me the UK street style seems to be further back wide shots....across the street. Why is that? is it some ethical or legality to it or are the sidewalks narrow? Or the tall skyscrapers make for interesting shadows and light...did i answer my own question LOL
I think it’s just my Style Tim, definitely not legality in the U.K. Keep in mind some of those shots were taken in New York, Las Vegas, Rome, Abu Dhabi. It’s not a U.K. thing. I went through a stage of a lot more close ups until the pandemic arrived, trying to build up layers. Light and shadow always draws my attention, I don’t think they make particularly interesting or long lasting photos though.
@@roynewport5397 I’ll keep an eye out for you! That said I haven’t been down there recently because of the whole COVID issue. Bath appears quite a lot in my blog... www.johnharperphotography.co.uk/leica-biker
Giles Jazz Guitar Very nice camera and lens, great combination. Mine is digital, an M(240). I use either a Summicron 35mm or 28mm. I also have a Noctilux which is more a work lens...family shoots, weddings and the like. To be honest it rarely gets used now, I might upload some Nocti images sometime.
Beautiful work, particularly the B&W. Please provide more info on specific camera and lenses and B&W conversion.

Thank you Roy. I live close to Bath, have done since the 1980’s. Originally from Devon.
