Turtle was murdered in Lynwood, CA in the summer of 1989. I have this documentary. It's called "Gang City" which is from a series of British documentaries called "Real Lives". I only uploaded the section with Turtle. The full documentary is probably about a 1/2 hr long. The remainder of the video has a few short clips with Santana Blocc Compton Crips, Mexican gangs, and a Blood from Tree Top Piru. The program is not really super exciting, but it's good to have for historical reasons. -peace

That perm is on point ✊🏾 homie speak too smooth
Good old times. Don’t let the hairdos and funny accents fool you though. These dudes were ruthless. Turtle is mad funny looking killer.
Paul ST true
They all spoke differently back then , how did the accent change so quick
He from the South which many blacks from Cali were back then
That boy turtle that silly dude would be put 100 holes in a fool LMAO.
Only thing comes to mind Snowfall
His personality is electric. He would have been the best commentator in life
This is history.. Og turtle was the first to say drop it like it hot @ 2:20
That's ooooold Texas slang
Served with this man named Ricky for 3 years in the US Navy,,he was from Chicago and one day I asked him how the hell he had so many scars and wounds on his arms and neck,, turned out Ricky was in a club [gang] in Chicago was stabbed several times and shot a few others, blew me away,, he was a nice guy and a great guy to work with, but you would not want to be on the mans bad side! I had respect for him! We both drank some beers together on occasion too! Imagine a white kid from cow country upstate Ny hanging with a gangster from Chicago!! What a combo we were, wish I had stayed in contact!
The coldest part about it is that his little brother Whisky was really with the shit just not as vocal or as much as a character
This is so 80s, I love it
Turtle was murdered in Lynwood, CA in the summer of 1989. -peace
Gride Brougham
Was The murderer brought to justice ?
White man killt him

This is some REAL OG shit. R.I.P. OG Turtle SBCC . ...PEACE IN L.A.
My mama was just like OG Turtle's mom. S/O OG for that dripped out Yankee Bomber 🔥🔥🔥
"I has twoo" -Turtle when talking on camera about owning two mini-14's. The way he spoke was hilarious.
Turtle says they are at war with Bloods and then hesitates and says "other" gangs. Doesn't want the viewers knowing that they are killing other crips. Even he thought it was embarrassing and stupid that people from Crip gang are offing each other.
Kollin011 I've always noticed that too when he hesitated. He didn't wanna say other crips
No bro he wanted to say Mexicans but hesitated,. Santana’s didn’t have beef with other crips until 86/87 ,. Go to Kev MAC videos,. He’s legit n confirms it ms valid information
they dont fight over colors they fight over neighborhoods, drugs spots, ect. the crips are many factions suck as neighborhood crips, mafia crips, gangster crips, insane crips, and so on. blood gangs even fight blood gangs. some bloods align with crips to fight other crip or blood gangs
Greg Money I thought MS didn’t come into play until the 80s I had OGs tell me there was a couple black and Mexicans working together until the early 80s
DOOM there were always Mexicans in Compton n this was filmed in 83 , but at this time they weren’t as deep as they are
loving that vibersonic coming out the car in first beginning
“Do or die or stay in the house....and I wasn’t gonna stay in the house for nobody” 💯
R.I.P OG Turtle, a real hub-city representative!
Back when gang banging was real
WHAT
It’s still real, fuck you on about
@Joey Illz Sir I must disagree the gang code and ethics is so watered down I laugh when young dudes my age say they bang now you got bloods and crips obsessed with facebook live having gunfights with police and bragging Nipseys homie Cowboy a OG Crip made a video chastising his young G for graffiti its shit like this thats makes me so fuck that gang shit these new niggas do it to boost ego and give not even 1 fuck about loyalty or RESPECT all bc of this social media shit
SM Dawson but its STILL senseless killing 🤦🏾♂️
Chitown Box'Office yes Sir! Real Dangerous at that💯
He was so adorable at the end of the clip.. Dancing at the end after police lol😂

So weird to see a foreign documentary from when this was relatively new. As an American we take it for granted. This dude's hair was so damn fly, too!

@@collinsterry0208 When I was on L.A. I met a family who said they was from Louisiana and came there in the 60s. That's interesting. I met another family who said they were from Mississippi. Southern folk who are overall nice people! Not like the ones here in NYC
