It's a trip. I'm from Nutty, and I personally know some of the ones from the Grandees who started some of the sets we now beef with, but if you talk to them, they will never mention the hood they grew up in, all they will say is Grandee, Grandee, Grandee, or Compton Crip. For example, Big Hancho said Lil Roscoe (who is my cousin-in-law) and his brother Cartoon started Spook Town. Although that's true that he's the reason Crips are over there, Lil Roscoe will never claim Spook Town, but he will tell you he was the only Crip from the Grandees living in that area (which is now Spook Town Crips), and he was surrounded by US boys and Pirus over there, and had to risk his life walking to the Grandees every day. Big Haunch, Salty, Mac, and the crew started hanging at Roscoe's house, and started attaccin US boys and red rags on sight, and that area eventually turned Crip. Lil Roscoe went to YTS around 1973, and his brother started Spook Town while he was gone. Lil Roscoe one of the few who loves to tell me the history every day. When I was comin up, and our generation started beefin with everything in, or near Compton, OG Lantanas used to be in our hood at Big Woodrat from Nutty Blocc/Grandee's house every single day while we were killing each other. Us youngsters understood that if you see somebody at Woodrat's house, don't even ask no questions cuz they're all tight Grandee homeboys regardless of where they're from now. A lot of Grandee Crips never even lived in Nutty Blocc, but bacc then, Grandee was more than Nutty Blocc. Like Mac Thomas lived in the Farms, but in his mind, and in his day, all he knew was Grandee, and nothing else. Big Woodrat's front yard would be full of enemies, but they were older Crips from different hoods who stayed true to their roots, and true to Crippin, and not that Crip on Crip beef. Acacia, Farms, Tragniew, Park Village, Santana, South Side, Front Hoods, Carvers, Atlantics, Grapes, East Coasts, Poccet Hood, and anybody hood you can think of, would always be with our older homies at Big Wood's house. I remember Rollin 60's would go to Big Woody's house every day when he got out in 1987 - damn near every single day, they would be deep. I think the next year the Compton vs. 60's beef started in the county jail, and they stopped comin to the hood. I remember he would still get letters from prison with RSC strucc up all over them. I wondered why he still kept it Crippin with all Crips while us youngsters were goin hard with the Crip on Crip beefs. When I went to the pen, Long Beach OG's would speak on Ant Malone like he was a Crip GOD. Our own big homies never spoke on our history much bacc then. I guess they were busy still Crippin in the moment, to even be stuck on the past. I never knew I was hangin out with legends constantly mentioned on different Kev Mac videos. Big Mac, Alvin Tresvant, Blue Baby, etc. We were busy lookin up to OG Sweat Pea, Peter Gun, Ned, Woodrat, Nub, Bitter Child, Crazy Horse, etc. Keety Welch stayed across the street from my closest friend on 165th street. So many names mentioned on these videos. PeeWee, Fish, Pat, Old Man and older Lantanas would be in our hood with Big Wood - even during all the killings, and Big Wood would drive to all our enemy hoods and not get sweated. I remember going to the Farms with him to get free PCP from dudes I had fights and shootouts with. After going to prison and hearing our history from L.A. dudes, and now watchin' Kev Mac videos, it all makes sense, cuz to be honest, A LOT of older Grandee dudes used to have me confused, cuz I would meet them in jail, or in L.A., and never seen them in the hood, and then find out they really live and grew up in the Farms, Park Village, Lantana, Spook Town, Tragniew, or any Compton Crip hood, and never EVER lived in the Grandees or Nutty Blocc. Like this video, Reebo reppin Park Village, but still reppin Grandee. I see why. The Grandees were his first homeboys he start Cripoin with. Most of them went to jail Grandee, and came home to find out the area they live in now has a different name. I was on the A yard with ReeBo in Lancaster for about a month in 95. Kev Mac videos clear up a lot now, like OG Poppa from Leuder's Park was a lifer in Soledad who had been down since the 1970's, and he once told me, "my hood and yo hood used to go AT IT." He was real cool, but I didn't think he knew what he was talking bout, cuz LPP wayyy on the east side, but come to find out, my homeboys DID kill a few of his homeboys, and they killed a few of ours, like LB and those girls from LPP are the ones who drove through our hood and killed Salty. We killed quite a few West Side Pirus too. I kicced it next door to Big Mac every day on 165th, and never knew he was a killer, who killed Terry Tarzan from WSP in the the 70's. It was before my time. So, it seems all the Pirus in Compton were comin to our hood to shoot Crips. I heard Ant Malone was escorted to his brother's funeral from YTS, and took the gun from the police, hunted down the dudes who killed his brother, killed them, and went bacc to jail. I guess that's why dudes from other cities were saying he was the shot caller for ALL the Crips on the yard. Our beef with Acacia started over the death of OG G-Ray from Acacia. He caught his murder case puttin in work to help us Nutty Bloccs (bacc then we were Neighborhood Blocc), so when he got out, he came straight to Nutty and hung out with us every day cuz that's how it was when he left. I remember riding around with him in his brown lac. He got killed in our hood. Acacia Blocc blamed us, and the beef was on. Shortly after, T Loc from Spook Town was hangin with them and got killed, so STC started gunnin at us. Naturally FDC jumped in cuz we were already gettin into it. Together they formed ATF, and became our worst enemies. Before that we all knew each other, and was in each other's hoods. I sold dope in the Farms, and both sides of the tracc in Spook Town and Acaicia with Winky R.I.P from STC in the mid eighties. In the mid eighties, Tragniew Park was Nutty Blocc hang out. We would chill in that park every day drinking silver Satin, then walk across the street to get another from the store. EXCUSE ME FOR THE LONG TYPING. I get caught up and can't stop when it comes to the area I grew up and love.
