I watched numerous videos trying to find out how to transfer photos from my Galaxy S9 phone to my SD card and none of them were helpful. After following your directions I was finally able to get them transferred! Your explanation was short and to the point and extremely helpful! Thank you so much!!!
Since my update I have been having little glitchy issues and one being having my device show my sd card for photo transfer as present on the phone but not available from "my files" or "gallery". This video allowed me to move my files, finally, and much more easily. Thank you.
Thank you. :) I am trying to make more space on my phone. When I moved a couple pictures like you did they still show in the camera album as well as in the new album. So am I just making less space & need to delete them from the camera album then? My phone says I'm out of space & says I have duplicates. I'm wondering why I have all these duplicates & maybe if it is because I sorted all my photos in albums.
Have watched various videos on this topic without any success!☹ Watched your video just on 1 occasion finally managed to transfer data to SD card 🙌 Thanks so much ice liked and subscribe 👍👌
If moving files from a Galaxy S8 to an S10 by using a Micro Sd to transfer all files, photos and videos, which option is the best to selection to make to keep all the original picture or video details such as name ,time and date intact?? Is It best to use 'COPY' or 'MOVE' to make sure the Original Time/Date Details of the photo or video is carried over to the SD card instead of the the Date that you transferred them to the SD card??
Thank you so very much! I watched many videos that did not help at all. Yours did, thanks once again. Can you do a video that tells us how to automatically save all future pictures to the SD card?
Brilliant ! Thank you so much ! You should work for Samsung & write their instruction books on how to deliver something in a crisp , easy to follow manner :)
Great presentation. Question: after you create the album and place a couple photos and you want to go back and add more future photos to that album on the SD card? I am probably just missing one easy step. Thanks. Bob
Hi yes curious so copy to sd card then it can be deleted from phone & you still have access to th info pix vids without it effecting the internal storage I'm understanding this correctly ? TY)
Hi, I hope you can answer a question: On my Galaxy S10, I can select a picture and see it's data size by clicking details on the menu, or gently swiping the pic upward to see the details below it. There are more ways to do this from Gallery than from My files, which sux. There is no good reason they cannot make it work both ways. Anyway, I cannot figure out how to check the data size of multiple pics together from either the gallery or My files. This is important because after I copy all my files from my phone to my SD card and then to my desktop computer, I like to make sure all the pics on my desktop comp. are good and not corrupted. On rare occasions, one or more will be unopenable from being corrupted, or maybe have part of they pic all wiped out with lines or static. If this happens, I like the option of being able to copy them again, and sometimes that works. If the size of the group of files is different on my copy and on the original, that may mean there is some corruption, so I like to check to see if they are the same. Also on rare occasions, I will not select all the exact same files and so I may see that the number of files is right, but I cannot be sure they are all the exact right files without being able to see their collected size on the phone. So to make a long story short (too late), is there a way I can check the size of groups of more than one pic without using a calculator to check and add each one up? Sorry or the length of this. Oh, and by the way, this was very easy with my Galaxy S5.
This video show how to create a second storage for the same thing.. We need a video showing how to move the whole folder with everything in it to the external.. And now and forever save everything new there without using internal memory... Not duplicate files
@@fbhacent I had 6.6gb internal storage moved some shit just as this dude is doing and guess what ? Still have 6.6 🤷🏻♂️ I wanted to move a whole game to Sd card but it didn't work when ever I move the game files the game takes it as I have deleted the files even tho I just moved them to sd card
When I click on move or copy to album, it just says not enough internal storage and does not bring up the next screen. There is nothing wrong with the sd card
You fix my problem! Thank you soooo much.😘😘😘!! I'm a handphone dumby with these buttons..I'll come back to you if I have problems with my new phone😄. Thank you for helping💞💝.
When I transfer from SD card back to phone memory on my S10, either by move or copy option, the original pic still stays on the original memory, even if I select MOVE. When I go back and delete pic off the original memory, the pic disappears altogether off both memories. It all seems pointless when you are trying to free-up space on one of the memories. It just duplicates the pic and you cannot delete it from just one of the memories afterwards. Suggestions, please.
Hi thanku so much I followed ur instructions to the letter and it worked but when I went to gallery I literally have two pics of the same photo, how do I delete from internal storage to free up my space? Thanku
If you have some of your pictures stored in internal storage and some on the SD card, when you open your gallery how can you tell which albums are stored on SD and which are on internal storage? I'm assuming that picture from either storage place will appear in the gallery display.
@iLuvTrading My Samsung Galaxy S10+ does not have a location option when you create a new folder. I wanted to move photos directly to my Samsung T5 SSD drive that I connected directly to my phone. Any ideas?
Hi can you do an updated version I have the s10 plus and I'm having trouble finding away to move photos from Google photos to my sd card or even just to the gallery any help would be appreciated
Yeah well mine shows the SD card in my storage just fine but when I click on "move to album" or "copy to album" it says I don't have enough space. I knew I was running out of space as to why I bought an SD card but it won't give me the option! I know it's big enough. I even tried two or three and it still says to free up space..🙄
That happened to me as well. It didn't even give me the option to select external storage. It just assumed that I wanted to save it onto my internal storage and said that I needed to free up space before it could work. 😒
I moved my images to my SD Card. My problem is they are still in my Gallery, if i delete them from my gallery it deletes it from the sd card. How can I prevent that?
Same problem and the ones in the I cloud won't let me move to the SD card it says to sync k do that and nothing happens. There getting rid of I cloud soon I don't want to lose anything. Help
On S10 phone, when i try to move photos to SD card, I can't just select the photos without clicking on edit within the 3 button menu. I click on edit, select photos, create an album, select SD card as a location, click on create, but when I go to phone settings/ choose device care, click on Storage, then images, i never see the created albums, but all the pictures i have sent mixed together, not separate albums. I don't understand how to see those albums I have created.
Helpful vid! However recently instead of copying transferring .jpg image from s9 phone to my pc via cable, I hit cut and paste and somehow 3mb images are now listed in properties as a 1GB image. Which file is too big to open. Alas, with 300 images it dumped eventually 330gb on my laptop which causing it to crash.. now these are my only holiday files left, what can be done to compress / flaten the image to a workable 3mb size. Help anyone. What did I do wrong?
How come once you open the photo, there is no option to move to an album? weird. i used to do that all the time on my htc one m8. Also , they have the gallery set up in blocks. i like it layered, one horizontal on top of another like i had it in my htc one m8. no option to change that layout? i always had option to move a photo whether it was open or not. How can i get feedback to Samsung? does anyone know?
Great tips! Now how sho I transfer a picture from my gallery to my clipboard? I can't figure that out🤷♀️ if anyone knows plz feel free to reply, thanks in advance. ✌
my sd card isnt being detected, but i can move apps on it and they work fine, i also cant go in my camera settings to set it so pictures go to the sd card, i have a a01
When I look in my gallery to find what files I want to copy to an SD card, how do I keep it from showing folders and files I'm my Dropbox cloud drive? That makes it really hard to sort through my files.
Your photos are going to be in your sd card and you can access them in whichever phone/tablet/laptop you insert your card in,and you also can copy them to any device’s internal storage.
Oh my god, finally, easy to follow instructions without downloading an unnecessary app. Thank you.

Is it possible that the camera saved images on its own? I have a few "albums" I don't remember creating.
A very easy procedure to follow the way you explain it 👍
Thank you for this video. You really saved me.
Thanks for investing your time and helping me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you bro😇it worked
Awesome! Super handy tips man
When I click on move or copy to album, it just says not enough internal storage and does not bring up the next screen. There is nothing wrong with the sd card
Earth Angel Tarot take out the sd card and try again
Did you figure out how to do it? Having the same issue. Even though I had previously added some to the SD card with no problem
Same it so annoying
you must first get some space on internal storage and you can do that by moving your apps to the sd card
Same. Did you figure it out?
Brilliant! but you can transfer maximum 149 files/video each time... is there any way to move more?
You fix my problem! Thank you soooo much.😘😘😘!! I'm a handphone dumby with these buttons..I'll come back to you if I have problems with my new phone😄. Thank you for helping💞💝.
