Thanks for understanding Terri. Knee pain is so debilitating. And it's an odd anxious sensation with the cracking. I had a bad accident years ago. I'll probably discuss it at some point

Your space looks great. Keep it up. Take breaks when you have to. I also put my back out a couple weeks ago. Thankfully I seem to be recovering, but I'm not doing what I should be doing in the garden. Lowering my expectations. I'll take the wins where I can get them. I gave away a lot of my tomato plants and people were thrilled to have them. Gardening is such a physical exercise. We all love it and thrive on it, but it takes a toll. Please take care of yourself. Good luck with your space, you guys have done a good job with it.

Thank you we appreciate you're words. Some day I'll do a video explaining my injury. My spirit is strong though, and I love growing this garden. I hope you enjoy your tomatoes. It's almost time!

Hi Leigh & Farmer John! The beginning of this video with all the shots of the flowers was gorgeous!
There's so much that I could say, but I'll do my best to keep it short because I know you're both tired.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with either of you! You're both likeable and present well. Why your channel isn't growing as you expected, I don't know. I can't think of anything that would deter people. How about letting go of the numbers game and allow your hearts to lead you both. (unsolicited advice, I know) Keep your focus on what makes your hearts happy.
Everything looks wonderful in your garden. The butterfly plants look so healthy!
You must be in Zone 7 or there abouts; I'm still waiting for the threat of frost to pass. I planted my veggies too soon. However, last year at this time, I had everything planted. Discouraging. My job is to deal with it the best I can.
Leigh, I'm sorry about your back!!!! I hope it gets better and soon!!!!

❤❤❤ love you both and I hope you’re feeling better soon. And I hope the front wall feature is done in the next week or so. Tomato pruning season is rapidly approaching. And the weeds took off with our rainy chilly Spring. I’m fine with weeds - they are so much better than the mild 2022-2023 winter and The Spring of Aphids last year! My plants suffered tremendously. I can keep ants in check if I’m ahead of the game. And my local birds have been all over my English garden helping out.
Your garden is looking amazing! What an accomplishment getting all those plants out and in the ground. Be proud of yourselves! I know for a fact that my house is not good for growing from seed. I have limited southern light, and my established house plants (many over 20 years old) have the right to that area. Next year I’m only starting tomatoes inside; everything else will be cold start plants, like garlic, dill, fennel, etc., out in the greenhouse. And all of those will be late starts too. :( I’ll always want a bigger garden, but perhaps I have only what I can handle. I’ll stalk the sale racks at my local nursery for deals on basil, cilantro, and multipacks of hardy flowers form my planters, and direct sow everything else in the Greenstalk sections and my two raised beds. I also rely heavily on perennials at this point, and weeding is a big chore to keep things neat. I have wild strawberry, English ivy, Carolina Creeper, and wisteria sneaking upnder my fence all year…it’s exhausting keeping the neighbors out!
You are an inspiration - and I wish I could do racks and lights - but my Beach/Music John really wants more making memories together time as we slide into old age. I might add one more raised bed next year, but then again, I might not. Lol, decisions!
I’m on grandma duty, so off to make breakfast. We went to see the air show at Jones Beach yesterday with the Blue Angels. What a sight! It was a perfect start to Memorial Day Weekend. A huge thank you for those have served in our armed forces, and those serving now. While watching the show, I tried to teach my grandson about how our families were tied to the history of aviation, but he was more interested in the sand. 😂 I’ll try teaching him again next year.

I love the air show! I've never seen it from a beach though. We are having epic ants. Seems like millions. Getting in the house! Sending love!!

Oh Leigh what you say is so true! You definitely give me encouragement 😊. I wish your back was on the mend. I here you when my back is out I walk hunched over and crooked. I try so hard to straighten my posture but sometimes it just doesn’t work 😢. Your orange Irises are stunners! I love a shaggy cream center on peonies. I have peony sorbet and love the the shaggy cream center on it😊. Say hi to Farmer John I really enjoyed his stroll through Home Depot on his lunch hour!😮! Love you guys and your channel you really keep me going❤❤❤.

I’ve never seen rust or any problems on snapdragons before, but I’m thinking with all the new varieties that are coming out that maybe new diseases as well. Love the intro with all the flowers.
I raced yesterday to get the rest of tomatoes and peppers in and quickly called a couple people to get the rest moved out! We are about to get rain and another storm this afternoon, not complaining but some things need sun right now. I have the flats down to somewhat manageable amount and decided to stuff them back in the GH because they say a total of 3” by Monday. Was repotting ice plant and thought I was done and found another tray 🙄 at least that one looked better as the others got too much water.
This morning I fertilize some areas before rain and the only caterpillars we have right now are gypsy moths 😡-they really start munching as they grow. If it stops raining for a stretch I may have to take some Captain Jacks to them. I could also put tanglefoot wraps on trunks. Everything wants out stuff!🙄
Oh, where was the seed from for blue salvia? Hope all the ones I started from BC are nice bloomers. And do you pinch snapdragons?
Trying to gauge where my plants are compared to to your area. Looks like about 2-3 weeks difference, but after the large peppers maybe a month. With all this rain and the sun returns things should take off. 😅I planted so many seeds a week ago in spots that need color that I’m reluctant to pull weeds😅 as last year the Mexican sunflower looked like it may have been a weed and let it go-it was well over 6’ and I got 1 flower and it frosted.
Wish I would have got the rest of veg seeds in, but I just ran out of daylight.
Can’t figure out plum trees-ton of blooms and pollinators and I see only 2 plums-what the heck?

Beautiful as always! Thanks for sharing! Also, you you be willing to share in info on the netting you got for the strawberries? I think I'm going to just be proactive on that so I don't lose my first harvest!

Hi, as always thanks for being here! The net we put on the strawberries is slightly different than the big net over the blueberries. We used our pond net over them. It was more than 20 years ago a laguna pond net.. It was more expensive than the Amazon one. We posted links for the Amazon net here ua-cam.com/video/3S4zzKPLVX8/v-deo.htmlsi=fjVdov5RwAScnlyn it comes in several sizes
