Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the sixth installment in the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series of video games published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Toronto. The game takes place two years after Conviction as Third Echelon is discharged by the president Patricia Caldwell. She decides to form Fourth Echelon after a terrorist attack, labelled Blacklist Zero, and Sam Fisher is appointed as the leader to stop future attacks.
After the previous title, which featured a bigger focus on action, developers promised to bring back gameplay elements of the older games. Thus the players can choose to play in three playstyles: Assault, Ghost and Panther.
It's been two years after the events of Conviction, Third Echelon has been terminated after a failed assassination attempt on the President's life. But when a new terrorist plot known as "The Blacklist" puts America's fate hanging in the balance, Patricia Caldwell, the US President, responds by forming Fourth Echelon, a new special operations & counter-terrorism unit with former Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher as the commander of the unit alongside his ally Anna Grímsdóttir as the unit's tech-ops control officer and second-in command. Added as a new member are Isaac Briggs, former CIA agent and new Fourth Echelon agent and Charlie Cole, 4E's resident hacker and technology officer. Now the unit's new mission: hunt down those responsible for the attack and stop the Blacklist countdown before its too late.
No radar, no upgrades?
Cutscenes included?
Actual ghost and not just a knockout marathon?
TGP482, you just became my favorite run of this game.
Yea this was a great video, still resent this game though lol. Like it's good, definitely not a bad game, but even in this video there are forced sequences in which you need to knock out enemies. That's always been an element in Splinter Cell games, the guy in the lighthouse in Chaos Theory for example, but there are far more in this game. There are also parts where I rolled my eyes at the ai. The detection meter effectively fills up, and to the credit of this youtuber he escapes in that split second, but it's still ridiculous he wasn't spotted. Several parts too, like at 1:26:44, where I've tried that my self and it didn't go nearly as smooth. Still believed I pulled that off back in the day but whoever designed and tested that, and figured that was a good stealth section is an idiot. Like the polish on the stealth, ai and pathfinding just wasn't there in this game. The depth of stealth is severely limited, no light or sound meter, just the lights on Sam Fisher. The over reliance on cover based stealth, sliding from cover to cover isn't my thing either. I like it as a mechanic, but it doesn't make for interesting level design and kills the atmosphere when the levels look so video gamey. It's a good mechanic to have as an option but shouldn't be your main option to get around enemies. I really think this game missed the mark in terms of quality. The story is cliche and uninteresting IMO, the voice acting is also uninteresting, the level design is basic, the score is really disappointing especially when you go back and compare it to Chaos Theory, and the visuals are too cartoony for a game of this genre, I feel it should look more realistic because Splinter Cell always felt believable and grounded in reality in the past. Hopefully if they make another Splinter Cell game they go back to their roots and emulate a lot of what they did in Chaos Theory, and if they can some who make Sam slightly more agile as they did in the newer games but still have it feel realistic, I would be very happy. Btw sorry for the rant, but you nailed it with your comment, as too many people think ghosting means knocking people out for some reason. Like, if you wanted to be a ghost a lethal approach would be better than to leave witnesses lol.
@@jobin140 there was a leak/teaser by Ubisoft called “stepping out of the shadows” or smth like that, you could check it out if you’re interested
So whats the point of not killing its a video game you are suppose to kill
@@AbdurRahim-ep5qv it's a stealth game, you are supposed to sneak. You can kill if you want, but it's more challenging to sneak by. Is "video game" synonymous with "kill everything" to you?
@@TheDirtbaggrif i mean not when i use my racing wheel or play mlb but when there is an opportunity to see some good animations why not? Sneaking past those who is far away from my destination is okay but anyone i see on my radar and my karambit will slither through their neck. I love challenges but its also a video game not real life
This game is underrated as hell.
Big Boss ? Huh ....
This shits all over modern Ubisoft games.
It's rated 9+ on IGN
It's really good, but the story is bonkers. But yeah, I much prefer the darker, slower feel of the first three. Even if PT was extremely janky and One did not hold up well
Nah. Double Agent and Pandora Tomorrow are underrated. My favourite is Double Agent (PC, 360, PS3). Then Double Agent on Xbox, PS2 GC
Blacklist is still the prettiest girl at prom to me. I remember being blown away by the trailers for it--how could graphics be that good, animation that smooth? I love how, similarly to Chaos Theory, when Sam gets close to an enemy he becomes noticeably wary and places his feet more carefully. I could have sworn there were a hundred animations for melee kills from cover, and the fact that blood could spatter on the environment was jaw-dropping.
For real, the ONLY bad thing I would say about Blacklist is the lack of Michael Ironsides but other than that, I loved it.
For several years I thought that the Splinter Cell saga had lost its stealth format. Watching this gameplay I realize that it is still there, and that it is up to each player how to finish the game. Thanks for this gameplay, my last SC was Double Agent.
that was always the way with SC
@@holliswilliams8426 not really
SC Conviction (the one before Blacklist) did away with stealth, but this one brought it back. Blacklist has the best game mechanic IMHO, allowing you to either do complete stealth or full assault.
I have no idea why you thought that but whatever, Their was a guy prenatual who did this 9 years ago.
Literally. I cannot imagine how much dedication this took. The amount of hours just figuring out every move. You even manage when the AI don't do as expected. Excellent work, and thank you for the hundreds of hours spent to make this video.
IKR? 😉
Charlie's an enemy spy, an all of his side missions is trying to get Fisher killed or captured.
Wants him out of the way to get with his daughter.
Most of the older Splinter Cell/Ghost Recon games have aged very well. This one, Wildlands, etc
#1 still looks great, but the gameplay is pretty clunky.
Unfortunately, Breakpoint will not age too well, it's already bad
Future Soldier is great too
I watched it like a movie in one go
With your gameplay and style, it's just a masterpiece
25:52 The fact that he is more afraid of Sam Fisher says a lot.
Sam interrogated him twice in the same game which was Splinter Cell: Conviction
I would be scared too if the same guy came up to me without tripping a single alarm in two completely different scenarios.
This is incredible. I honestly could never do this. I have tried, more times than I care to count. I gave up in the end. At some point one has to admit defeat. I'll chill out and play something else to calm myself down. I'll try again in 6 months. Watching this and how you play is fascinating. Learned a lot. Thank you.
I felt like was actually watching Sam do his real life job and not a person playing him in a game from how you handled each scenario. Awesome video man, had me on the edge of my seat sometimes.
Criminally, criminally underrated game! This run through was amazing to watch. Thank you!
Ty for this amazing gameplay. Watching this was so satifying👌
watching you play this reminds me of how i felt and thought i looked when i played the first splinter cell on my ps2. at the time i was more innocent to killing so i stealth played the whole game. you earned my like 1000 times
Awesome play through. Lots of fun to watch you walk through the game like it’s no sweat. Splinter cell games are great.
it's crazy that you make ghost runs look like the easier way to play the game, take my sub
The moment they mentioned Cobin, my heart skipped a beat.
1:56:50
That slide to the wrong cover would've had me quitting then and there, you have my admiration for putting up with this game's controls.
Lmao i think i would've deleted my channel if i got seen there, that area was the biggest pain in the ass ever because of shit you can't control like "hostiles evaded"
@@TGP482 I keep telling people that as much as I love Conviction and Blacklist they're awful Splinter Cell games and areas like this are a great showcase of why.
@@TGP482 thats a nice profile pic
Sam breaking the glass like that was trash honestly. Damn so much effort to not be found but Sam broke it.
Damn, i watched the entire thing in one sitting and didnt notice 3 hours passed. This is amazing, great job
Excellent work! I can't imagine the hours you've put into the game to master it @ such a high level. They've paid off though. You deserve more views😀
Very nice I've always been a panther player personally I liked assassinating all the enemies
Easy. Try a challenge and use only stealth. Game isn't made to gun blazing.
@@sO_RoNerY panther style is killing all enemies using stealth never being seen and caught assault was going loud guns blazing
@@sO_RoNerY Game is made to be fun, so if he likes Panther style let him enjoy it. Perfect stealth is great and all, but it's quite boring. Perfect stealth looks good only for videos and if you're rushing to finish the mission as quickly as possible. And if you wait in one spot for a long time just to pass enemies without killing them, that's very boring..
@@twentytwo138 I think it's the challenge of not getting caught and the feeling of perfection that comes with it less so how fun it is itself
I watched he whole video no skipping and almost died from nostalgia and your badassery 👍🏿
Remember how I rushed and mastered some levels as a ghost.... Good memories :) Nice to watch that video! Great work!
This is how splinter cell is meant to be played. 4th Echelon agents are supposed to be ghosts.
I Played this game dozen of times, your gameplay here is a piece of fine art!
I Own this Game and it was great...the way the guy plays it so effortlessly and effectively is very impressive he is one hell of a player... awesome walk-through.
Damn bro you deserve lot of views!
Good job ❤🔥
You made me bought this game, no regrets, amazing game and amazing video!
Bravo bro, bravo. nice job. Best game ever & best play too
What a game; what a walkthrough! Pure artistry. 😻🐾
It's like 90% of the routes you took are the ones I haven't seen before. I usually go where the camera points me at. I'm terrible with stealth. LOL. Good run.
Great job man, thank you!
Great game, nice to see how you mastered it. It's a shame that there are hardly any stealth games left, like Splinter Cell or Thief
This was my first and only splinter cell game. I come back to replay it a lot. Love this game.
Forget this one man. Try Chaos Theory. It's way better than this run and gun bullshit.
@@pduna90 did you not watch the video? I don't think he shoots his gun once. You just played the game wrong. In my opinion its just as good as ct
you're great man. I hope you'll get successful one day!
This is how a splinter cell game should be played. Never thought I will see this for blacklist.
Bloody hell mate, you are f'ing good, I thought I was pretty good, I was wrong.
just watched first 27 min of this and I'm impressed. you just earned my sub. pls make more god-like stealth game uploads
all i can say is after watching this is that sam would be proud
Good shit. Pure E&E, nice gameplay.
Great story, great game, great graphics and the gameplay is phenomenal.
Very Nice!
You play very good.
This kind of gameplay takes dedication and perfection.
Even when there some footage replacement.
This is one of my favourites, and it's so much fun to play 🙂👌🏾💯🎮❤🙌🏾🎯
One of the best underrated games, an to play every mission in anyway you want is amazing
This walkthrough help me a lot to complete this hell of a game
Got here before you reach 1,000 subs. Great gameplay! XD
All these years and I get your channel now. Damn.
I played every Splinter Cell on Console. Read all the books up too Firewall. I'm a big Fan of the Series. And this play thru Reminds me of how I played all the games. Stealth the best way to play Splinter Cell. Thanks for the excellent vid.
a seriously amazing game, and you are 1000x better than me. Even all my MGSV practice and I'm just shitty at splinter cell. You have it all down it's really impressive.
Yea! I too jumped from MGSV to Blacklist (my first metal gear game and my first splinter cell game) and it feels so different despite technically being the same stuff meaning stealth ops
Also because of the environment, MGSV is an open world and outposts are small and you can just be a sniper and destroy everything
Also blacklist makes you want to use a certaim style through the mastery challenges, I know that MGS has codenames but still, i found them too easy to obtain sometimes
I miss this fast paced, tight and linear stealth. Been playing mgsv, a good game, but not what I'm looking for. Gonna have to re-download conviction and bl for the first time in a few years.
Nice ♡ OP gameplay
Is it just me or do the storylines in games better than most movies 😂😂
It takes a while for UA-cam algorithm to suggest a good content but its totally worth it at the end!
wow brilliant well done its like a movie but far more interesting
Even with all "Mark and execute in motion" and other good looking things, that game is great Stealth action! I think many people just didn't realize that!
This is one damn straight amazing gameplay
This game was ahead of its time! I remember playing this on PS3 day 1 and no lifing it for 2 days straight trying to get ghost on every mission without the help of YT! epic game that deserves a remaster for current gen 💯
OR!
They provide another SC game like this.
The NPC convos are hilarious
Genuinely one of my favorite games ever especially that final level is so good
3:09:12
I have been playing this game for 2 years.
Noticed a lot of stealth approaches recently. But i've never, ever seen this upper vent. Damn
BRO that felt like a movie!
I enjoyed every second of this. Like watching a movie lol. Ubi dont make em like this no more. Great ghost run!
"Sarah, she's still single, right?"
Sam: *glares at him like he has no idea the amount of shit he's been through just to see her after Chaos Theory*
You sir are indeed,
The Master Splinter Cell !
Blacklist is great as a game, but the fact that they didn't use the original actor for Sam kills the immersion for me
Time and nostalgia is a helluva drug. The voice actors for Anna and Sam were jarring at time. Now? The newer voice actors nailed the feel of this game perfectly. Yah, its not Chaos Theory.... but Blacklist never tried to.
This is canon gameplay to me.
Perfect playing it exactly as it should be
Boss level gameplay. Well worth three and a half hours of my time 👏👏👏
This is like watching almost 90-percent of my Blacklist guide with the similar style (no radar, etc), except that I try to avoid using gadgets at all whenever possible.
I Really miss the splinter cell series. Bring them back !
bro put some ads on your vids! I'd happily watch them just so I can enjoy the video because you deserve it! U gained my respect
Underrated
Someone actually still plays the game... respect sir.
Really ? Perfectionist ? soo gooooood
How much I would give for Michael Ironside voice acting this...
I actually enjoyed the new voice actor for Sam
Masterclass
This game Is just another "sexy-grim" reminder, of what ubisoft was capable of back then. I don't know, maybe they'll figure it out sometime before I die..
love this game
This is the only splinter cell game I played , & regardless of what SC fans say how shit it is . I love this game so much , one of my favs out of all time .
I like the whole team. Charlie is fucking funny.
Wow there’s a lot of freaky porn on here!
Masterpiece. Easily my favourite in the series.
Awesome
We needed next part
Chaos Theory and this one is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
we are so over due for a new SC game. Been seeing a lot of blacklist gameplay videos lately
3:21:03 “We’re going after Sadiq” LMAOOO
Great video sam,your pretty good
grande jogo! um dos melhores!
This man is a real Ghost
I love the Father son Sam and Charlie has sam back him up when the other says he was wrong or being supportiv when he try to help as much as he can while always staying quiet and stoic but meaning good
this whole game was brutal on realistic.i was on acid and legit was terrified the ai realized a door was open.Special mission hq was probably the most difficult for me
Nice
The character you extracted from the safehouse sounds like the voice actor for Adam Jenson from Deus Ex. Lol say it aint so...
Great editing on the Train Yards mission.
legend
Best of game!!!
I loved the splinter cell games, there's a remake of the original coming for ps5 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
