He makes it look so easy. Never understood why this game received so much hate? Saying it wasn't a real Splinter Cell game, nothing compared to the old ones. I thought it was quite enjoyable, really good actually. 😁
It's a really fun action game, but its infiltration mechanics are pretty boring, you just move out in the open from cover to cover. There are some interesting paths to take, but most of the time it's a railroad straight line where you just follow the quest indicator and have a look at the minimap to see where the ennemies are. It's standard 2010s "stealth". In the OG Splinter Cell games, the challenge came from the limited HUD, you had an indicator for light and sound and that was all, no marker to show you where to go, you had to listen to the instruction and eventually look at your map in the OPSAT. There were no indicator to know if the ennemies were spotting you, you just heard their screams and same with the cameras, no convenient ray on the ground showing you exactly where you were supposed to walk. A good Splinter Cell game requires patience, Blacklist is more about reflexes. It's not a bad game per se, I still had plenty of fun playing it, but it's certainly not a good Splinter Cell game like Chaos Theory or Double Agent (the XBox/PS2 version, not the 360/PC one, this one sucks ass).
@@bdletoast09 I totaly agree with you. Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory are my pics for the best Splinter Cell games. However, I have to give some creds to the Hitman and Metal Gear Solid games as well. Those were some fine good old days when stealth games were legit. Nowadays we get stealth games like Ghost of Tsushima, which is actually pretty neat, to be honest. But not exactly my shtick.

And really good work Lad! You are a legend at this game. I look forward to more of your playthroughs
I always felt that Blacklist got a lot of hate it didn't deserve. Fans were first upset that Michael Ironside wasn't voicing Sam, and then people became more upset over some of the gameplay demos which showed action setpieces and gave off the illusion the game was gonna be a generic action third-person shooter. Michael Ironside stepped away from the role as Sam because at the time the game was in production, he was fighting cancer. Completely understandable that he would want to focus on his health and not play the role of some video game character, no matter how iconic his voice is to that character. I don't fault the game at all for having a new voice for Sam. In terms of the gameplay demos that were shown, I can understand fans being apprehensive but I wish more of them would have bothered to actually play the game instead of form an opinion about it when they haven't even touched it. I admit I was one of those apprehensive fans, but once I sat down and actually played the game I discovered it was nothing like what I expected. It was a good game, really damn good actually.
I'm very much like this for the Halo series but also for Splinter Cell. I've played them all since I was like 10 and I'll continue to play them for a long time.
Splinter Cell 2020 would be amazing but if they toned it back and made it a true spy and stealth game again :) Less shooting action and more patience and infiltration!
Well the thing that most SC fans dont realize is, the reason Ironside stepped away from the role in this game is that he was battling cancer and would rather work on his health rather than this game and I'm completely respectful of his choice because I love the role he played and him missing voicing one game is better than him losing his life and not voicing another game ever again
@@borntodismember Agreed. Michael Ironside was great but I understand the real world comes first, although I would be so stoked if they did another and gave the role back to him.
@@borntodismember yea, but still, the new voice is just too young, what a bad direction from Ubisoft. He sounds like a 30 years old dude, not the old grumpy Sam in Conviction. Hell, actor like Troy Baker even can emulate Sam's voice much better than this.

For all its flaws, Blacklist, when well played like this, really highlights what a terrifying monster Sam Fisher is on the field. You have him at gun point, then the lights go off and he's gone. Ten second later, all your men are down and you haven't even catch his shadow.
The next game (if we ever see one) HAS to have the light\sound meter and no daytime missions. Ironside is back as Ghost Recon DLC so its a safe bet hes in the next installment.
Surfblue open world splinter cell would be terrible they’d lock half of the good gear in the complete opposite side of the map and would just be a chore having to go to each mission instead of being put in the mission area like all the others
@@surfblue7336 Meh, splinter cell definitely doesn't need to be open world, and personally Im getting tired of the genre being overdone so much. Splinter cell needs to stick with the way it always has been, being level based.

This is the exact opposite of the effect an actual suppressor would have. It doesn’t eliminate sound, it just downsizes the noise a little. It’s still loud as sh*t.
This game was so much fun and watching this brings back great memories of when I first started gaming. What pisses me off is that my game won't let me start it over from the beginning!! I even went into my PS3's memory and completely wiped the game from storage, but when I try to play, it starts me from the beginning of the LAST mission, and I kinda' forget the game's mechanics. I need to start over, from the very beginning, so I can learn the tutorials of how to use all the gadgets and mechanics, and work my way back into the game incrementally. It won't let me! I played it through twice (maybe quit on the last mission) but I cannot find a way to "Start New Game". What I don't get, is, how is it still starting me at the last mission, if I scrubbed the game out of my PS3's memory?? I'd love to play this again.
@@SourceSpy91 Yes. I did "uninstall" it (that's what I meant by "wiping it from storage"), but somehow, even after I "thought" it was uninstalled, I still can't start over! Weird!! You'd think you could start a "New Game" at any time. I don't get how my PS3 remembers where I left off, years ago, after I uninstalled it. There's a "Game Zone" store in my town, that sells refurbished, new condition consoles (I bought a PS3 for my friend this year, after getting him a PS4 last year). I'm actually thinking of buying a whole new (well, old) PS3 just to play THIS GAME!! Great video, gameplay by the way! I'm watching it now.

I started as ghost / panther and then switched to panther / assault styles.
Best way to play it's soo much fun
7:19 - 7:25 would technically defeat the whole purpose of "100% Ghost" because you are basically being a "pacifist" which mean not harming anyone both lethal and non-lethal...
You do realise you have to do that? It's part of the tutorial
@@SourceSpy91 Yes, hence I said "technically"
Sorry man, i've had people commenting stuff like that before, saying how i did something to mess up my "stealth run" despite the fact it's scripted and the game demands you do it lol. I apologise
@@SourceSpy91 No worries and yeah I feel ya.
This is the exact opposite of the effect an actual suppressor would have. It doesn’t eliminate sound, it just downsizes the noise a little. It’s still loud as sh*t.
I didn't realize there is a "hostile undisturbed" point
now i'm replaying it as stealth as I can to gain more money 😂
This entire series played while I was asleep over night lol.
Damn this game is very sophisticated for its time.
Many would say chaos theory was the best splinter cell game but in my opinion blacklist was the best.
Amazing gameplay
Awesome game and the gameplay dude...…Perfect way to play this game.
Blacklist😎 gutes👍Game ! Habe es mehrmals durchgezockt. das gibt es bei mir selten. Hoffentlich🙏 kommt sam fischer bald im stelth🐅Modus zurück.🗡
This game is literally a quote from Pineapple Express the dopest dope I ever smoked
Is the game installed on the PS3? If it is, you could try uninstalling it. I have to do the same thing with The Last Of Us on PS4.
Black list was the best one and I played them all 100% my favorite
Dude you're awesome 👌
"he'll crash the plane!"
"what the fuck do you think is about to happen?!"
I think Kobin deserve some love too lol
Michael Ironside is the one true Sam Fisher. That said, this game was pretty good.
The old splinter cells had different mechanics that made each splinter cell its own
i woke up with this on at the two hour mark idk how i got here but youre
welcome ig
007 should take lessons from fisher about how to keep a low profile and be undetected
As a first time watcher... why are there so many angry fanboys in the comments? This game looks pretty good from a graphics perspective and while the guard AI could use some work, it makes for a pretty fun fast paced style... There's also more missions that he doesn't appear to have done so content is not the problem... why so stuck up?
