I started out with some indoor plants. Then I morphed into container pots for flowers and the front flowers beds. When I o mo iced from a duplex to a third floor apartment I had so many pots to at lines the open air walkway that was covered. They were hanging rim both sides of the all way and the pits lined both sides too. Luckily my neighbors didn’t mind, and neither did the new neighbors. When I moved to a new city the balcony is facing north a d I moved in November. It was down to freezing at night and the first night I had to cover the plants I couldn’t cram up against my balcony with the plastic the moving company put down on the carpet to protect it from them walking around. Over the winter lots were unalived and they got no sun. It was a recipe for disaster. When I looked at apartments to my shows me another apartment. I didn’t know what way it faced. Live and learn
you are a champ for balancing that lid while repotting on it. my plants would be all over the floor 😂 big hugs to you about your upcoming life changes, you got this!! 💜
Haha I honestly don’t know how I got through that video without spilling them 🤣 Last minute idea in my crazy plant lady brain 🤭 Thank you Ana - that means a lot to me queen ❤️🌿
Those little clips in come in clear come in a little pot of 1000. I wasn’t thinking and bought two jars. Yep that’s right, I bought two thousand of them. I use them all he time.
As they say, when one door closes another will open. Good luck with your job hunting. Keep your head held high, sorry to hear about you and your hubs 😞 I am certainly here for your planty channel love love it 😍
I know Palm street is working on getting palm street in Canada. The first time I shopped there I bought three Hoyas and spent less than $40. And my first two plants were $1 and $5. But all three were in great shape. I had to make myself turn it off or I would have bought a lot more. I already had a big box with around 7 Hoyas. I had another Hoya coming from somewhere else. I had a a lot of Hoyas in my quarantine room but under the two grow lights that are there. But with winter it got really cold 🥶 in there. I out bought a new space theater to keep the room above 73 I the daytime and it ent down to 69. So it’s working shady. It’s also my rehab area two. I’ve got two plants that are rehabbed right now and one stick in fluval.
I use coco coir, and coco husk as my base. I use coarse perlite, leca, orchiata, worm castings, horticultural charcoal in there too. I quite using peat based soil in my mix. I don’t have a problem. My next mix will be with the buffered coco coir.
It’s early in the morning here in Oregon. Still dark out but I saw this videos and I stopped right there to see what you have to say.you said Hoya and I screeched to a halt. I love Hoyas and I’m waiting for four more yo show up at my door. It you want quality plants I say go check out Gabriella’s plants. The best packaging and they deliver right to our front door.
@@lisaanglim9588 thank you Lisa 💜🌿 I would love to check Gabriella’s Plants out but I’m in Canada 🇨🇦😆 I appreciate you watching! Have a beautiful day 🥰
I don’t even try to put my obovata on a trellis it’s growing out wild. Which I love. Luckily it’s in a heavy ceramic pot so it can’t tip over. And I think it’s starting to get new peduncles. Two sticks in one branch that stick out at a 90 degree angle from the stem. They are about an inch long. Crossing my fingers that’s what they are. I check frequently
Loved this! I’ve recently went down the Hoya rabbit hole 😂 . Also, I was hesitant to download Palmstreet app and finally caved. Um.. as I suspected I’ve had no self control 😅
Love a good hoya chores video. Gives me ideas for new hoyas to add to my collection (as if I really need more) 😅. Excited to pick up my new gunung gading tomorrow. Most of the time I just buy cuttings, but this one is an actual plant.
@PlantedinPlatinum thank you! I have a feeling it's going to be just as happy as the rest of my hoya. I hope yours sunstresses for you! They do sunstress beautifully! 💚
Hey girly. So much I could say. This was a great video. I swear we have so much in common I wish we lived close. I’m sorry to hear you are going through it. If ever you want to chat I’m always an open ear. As always gorgeous plants. I always enjoy seeing your collection. I’m a Virgo sun scorpio moon and Aries rising. 😊 I also love astrology and tarot. I also went to hair school, I’m struggling to make clients and get going and often think I should just go back to bartending. I managed restaurants for years before going into the beauty industry. I then managed for ulta. Then went to hair school. I always loved bartending just didn’t like working every holiday and weekend. As for Pon, you can totally make your own. I do, and it saves so much money and is just as good IMO. I made a video on it a long while back. The quality is awful I had just started my channel but I show the stuff I use in case you have any questions but it’s pretty straightforward. Your channel is awesome and there isn’t anything you need to do. Just keep doing you. Sending you love and support. You’re never alone. 💚💚💚
Aww Shannon 🥹 Thank you so much ❤️ Oh my goodness we do have a lot in common 🙀 That’s actually crazy!! I also love your collection - your videos bring me so much joy 🤗 Thank you so much for stopping by my little planty corner - I appreciate you dearly ❤️🌿 PS I wish we lived closer too!!
I’m a Virgo, September 15. But I was a month early so maybe I would have been a Libra too. But I think I’m definitely a Virgo everything in its place and a place for everything. I’m not a fan of Taro cards. I’ve never studied astrology behind reading my horoscope in the paper. When I got the paper.
I don’t know you live or how close to the border but I think what you can do to run around Palm streets not shipping to Canada. It also hinges in if you know some one near the border then order it and use their address to have them shipped to them. Then you drive them home. You’ll need to take them out of the soil and out I spagham moss.
I can answer that question if there was a fire, which 3 plants would I take. 1. Queen Anthurium 2. Anthurium Michelle x DocBlock (big one) (small one would may not make it) 3. Anthurium Pendens I would be devastated too! 😢😢
I used orchiata before. It was smaller. I like it but expensive. I have been leaning toward a soil mix for the plants for sale. A lot of folks don't know what to do with PON, and it's hard to get. I love it for my plants, though.
I never clip my vines facing downward. I stop at the top of the trellis and allow the vine to grow long enough to be able to wrap around and end facing up. Right now my pubicalyx has two vines. One is about two feet long and the other is three feet long. I also wrap them counter clockwise. That’s the way they naturally grow. Do I support them.
If I liked anthurium it would be the Luxurians, Hoyas I wood chose my ever blooming multiflora , and I guess I take my ficus tineke and I’m squeezing I. A fourth, my monstera. It’s nearly as tall as me and I’m only 4’ 11”.
@ it is. It took two of us to pull the one vine (there are two climbing up the pole) away from the top of the existing poke. It was crushing it. But I finally got an extension out on with two garden stakes inside to give it some stability. The next leaves may be taller than me.
I'm a new plant mom and have recently added a hoya rangsan, khroniana and sunrise. I'm very concerned about my hoya sunrise as one leaf turned yellow and died, due to stress when it arrived. I left it in it's original pot while acclimating to my environment, but now 2 more leaves are partially turning yellow as well. Any suggestions? 🥰
I refuse to join Palmstreet mainly cause it is so confusing! I much prefer Etsy a place to go shop rather than live type gambling selling of plants. It may be my age, but I just find it confusing. I don’t think you and Fern do anything different than myself or other UA-camrs I’ve watched from Merica. 😂
Thank you to all of you who submitted questions 🥰🤍
My favorite videos to watch are plant chores and/or new plant unboxing and potting up videos.
