i'm a Wes M. fan and, honestly, this is the first time... I've... heard someone emulate his style. Yes, I live in the backwaters of middle California, but still... !! Nicely done.
Sounds awesome! And I absolutely love how you're playing with your thumb like Wes. ❤ And do not listen to the "advice" I saw in the comments about singing being able to improve your playing. Only listen to your heart. They don't know a d**n about what's inside of it! And besides, those people are mediocre and don't know s**t. Virtuosos like us can already hear the music in our heads. What will actually help your creativity is listening to great music and learning to play different instruments like keys and drums. And judging by your already great playing and repertoire, I suggest listening to Paco De Lucia and Mozart (piano sonatas and string quartets), as they sound quite different from you. Paco De Lucia because he's an incomparable master who blended jazz and flamenco with his music and playing with flawless technique. And MOZART because he's the greatest of all. Why? Because he loved music so well that he was able to effortlessly make the line between premeditation and improvisation be indivisible (classical musicians during that time all improvised, the stereotype is false). All of his compositions sound like they could be improv. Even though they're meticulously crafted. Do not let the simplicity fool you. He's a pure genius who, if he wasn't the greatest composer who ever lived (he is imo, and with the longest running operas in history), he would still be the most prolific. But this is simply advice from a man who taught himself how to play four different musical instruments, how to sing and read music, and how to write novels. To think outside of the box, you must actually be there. That is, if your heart so wishes.
Greetings you guys, First, I found the crowd very disrespectful for talking while you were playing, here in Montréal, people do not accept that very well. Second, the sound technician did not do you justice; the drums were in your face, the bass was thin and the keyboard somewhere in the back; the eq was putting too much emphasis on the 2K~5K Hz section. That being said, in some settings, it is rather difficult to do an excellent job, you do what you can with what you have . Now, Dominyka, your solo was very good, as I once said, you got it! The band was tight, which is very important. Keep it up guys... In Peace and Friendship, Pierre Pagé.
When I close my eyes I think I hear Wes Montgomery; but when I open them I miss his gaze wandering among the spectators with a huge smile. He almost never looked at his guitar during the performance. This is what you still have to learn. It's not the most difficult I think. And again Bravo for the most difficult part which is playing the way you do. 💔💔💔💔💔
Perfect. Almost clean octaves. Also aka Road song cool. But it is only Wes Montgomery. I would like to hear some fusion track (Greg Howe, Matteo Mancuso, Martin Miller). Maybe You don't like this music. Also I really love Henry Creamer "After You've Gone" , "It's All Right With Me" jazz standarts and Miles Davis "Tune Up".
You probably hate when people tell you this but… here it is again… start singing! The sooner you start , the better! It will improve your playing, improve your repertoire and overall quality. You are a great talent, young and beautiful, who is going to stop you?! Keep posting 👍🏽🙏🏽🇦🇺

Sounds nice. 👍 Don't you use any picks?
Thank you! Here no, but of course I use them on other tracks :)
Джордж Бенсон
The bass player looks to be having more fun :) Sounds great though

she’s got her eyes closed too, bro
I mean she does not have to try to be a clone of Wes...

And don't just "sing" but sing the notes that you are playing or that you want to play... This will help you develop your "Ear" and your voice.
