In SS13, if you are not robust you make it up by pre-planning and intelligently thinking how you're going to carry the attack/ procedure out. As someone who consistently is forced to play in high ping servers because I'm Australian, having to deal with lag in every action I do and losing most fights because of it, it's my go-to approach for taking someone out. Like "leave a banana peel at his only escape route so if he escapes, he slips and I can catch up to him to finish the job" and stuff like that. I really like how creatively it makes you think.
My favorite round of SS13 ever was when I played as a Lawyer and the traitors bribed me into rewriting the AI into allowing people to die as legal. I also put in a clause that the AI could only be rewritten by me. Any time one of them got arrested by Security I'd bail them out based on the laws I had written.

As unintuitive and clunky as the hand controls are in SS13, it makes working them out it really exciting. I remember how accomplishing it felt when I managed to figure out how to get the doughnuts out of a doughnut box, after carrying it around for about an hour.
Yeah, the learning curve is a fractal mess, but that's what makes surmounting it feels so good. But, they could have easily just allowed you to keybind LHand and RHand to some keys ffs. There already are hotkeys for so many general actions. Not having bindable L/RHand keys for instant switching or access isat least 50% of what makes this game so gd clunky. Then if we start talking about the Colonial Marine servers where you actually have to survive against Aliens, trying to do split second actions w this control scheme, lmao, yeah, mastering it does legitimately make you a pro at this. I suppose in that way, it's not that much different from Shroud snap shotting someone in CS:GO then, is it?
I'd love if they added more systems to just completely fuck people over in that game. Greifing in that would be so fun considering a big audience of it is like 10 year olds

Naturally I chose that role and ran around pissing everyone off. The best thing about that class is the banana peel. You can put two down in the mail hallway and people cant step on it without falling down. I fucking cried. They ended up throwing me in an air lock and spitting me out into space
I remember my first time playing I did not know how to drop items, so I threw them instead. I was the bartender so did not help at all. The head of personel walk in and just as he did that I acidentaly threw it in his face. I got gunned down and next second I am a robot assistant. 30 min later I start to hear some screaming and it was my own dead body. I got the message "Return to your body" (Something like that) so I tried to kill myself to return to my own body. However I can't hurt myself so I went into space then remembered I am a robot and can't die of oxygen deprovation. Then I get messaged by an admin and he ask why am I in space? Then I am so smart and reply with "My body was screaming so I had to kill myself to enter it because the message would not go away" *Perm Ban* Remember it was my first time so I did not realise I could leave the body any time.

All you need to do is break one server rule to get banned and some servers don't ban your accounts, they IP ban you so you cannot enter those servers with your current computer. I got banned for not wanting to roleplay in a server because honestly fucking with other people is ten times more fun than playing the actual game. I will gladly play the game to get banned again, its just way too damn fun to fuck with people.

The only game I recall griefing in was Starsiege. When someone was missile spamming or obviously hacking I'd hop into a Disruptor. It's an absolute piece of junk but it has a weapon that slows others to the point of freezing. It also did a tiny amount of damage, so I would lay into people and slowly turn all their components red, which could take minutes.

you can't really have assumptions based on irl factors, in the server i play you can only cause chaos if you have a legit in game reason, like if you are an antagonist or your character has brain problems, you can sometimes talk your way out of a troll moment, but you can't just hop in the station as lets say "security" and just start blasting people. Admins will just ban you.
Basically the game works like a ship simulator, where everyone on the crew has to do their job or things will stop working. So if everyone just griefs instead of doing their job, nothing will work at all. All food and water poisoned, no power or life support systems, everyone's equipment stolen immediately, security just killing people at random, etc..
It’s like... if there is a server with rules that everyone else is following and having fun with, why would you intentionally try and ruin that for them. This was somewhat funny, but this feels like walking into a chess tournament and flipping over all the tables and laughing at the pissed off players. And also filming it and showing it to friends, causing them to bust in on various other tournaments and ruining them too, ruining the game for all the other players who genuinely just want to play.

Not exactly, the antagonist, crew roles are very extremely diverse depending on what server you are on and the players' general lack of competence in which someone might accidentally killing themselves or blowing up a quarter of the station.

This station is rather good. for beginners.
Oh yeah, and the admin and mentors are friendly, if you have questions you can ask them for help. It's a complex game, so you'll need to use the wiki even when you "get good"

you can't really have assumptions based on irl factors, in the server i play you can only cause chaos if you have a legit in game reason, like if you are an antagonist or your character has brain problems, you can sometimes talk your way out of a troll moment, but you can't just hop in the station as lets say "security" and just start blasting people. Admins will just ban you.
Youre supppsed to roleplay as the character you choose.
Basically the game works like a ship simulator, where everyone on the crew has to do their job or things will stop working. So if everyone just griefs instead of doing their job, nothing will work at all. All food and water poisoned, no power or life support systems, everyone's equipment stolen immediately, security just killing people at random, etc..
Lol maybe this is cringe, but it sounds like these guys would have a blast playing Among Us together. I'd watch the hell out of that

I think Among Us is too basic and formulated to really grief or troll in the way you can with SS13.
It’s like... if there is a server with rules that everyone else is following and having fun with, why would you intentionally try and ruin that for them. This was somewhat funny, but this feels like walking into a chess tournament and flipping over all the tables and laughing at the pissed off players. And also filming it and showing it to friends, causing them to bust in on various other tournaments and ruining them too, ruining the game for all the other players who genuinely just want to play.

its more rather keeping your space station alive and throwing people into space. the only problem (or not if youre a masochist like me) is that players can be an unintentional disaster to the space station. you could be trying to summon a demon just for a janitor to find you and clean the floor so that whoever tries to catch him ends up slipping on the wet floor and are in a cooldown state for like, a fucking minute
Not exactly, the antagonist, crew roles are very extremely diverse depending on what server you are on and the players' general lack of competence in which someone might accidentally killing themselves or blowing up a quarter of the station.
