I have always loved the marquise diamond. Its rare & unique unlike the other shapes. Also I've observed the marquise diamond shape looks much bigger than other diamond shapes of the same carat weight. Years ago before I got married, my engagement ring was a marquise diamond ring because I have a unique taste.
I love my marquise diamond surrounded by a halo with four princess cut diamonds each side Chanel set. I had it remade and whilst I don’t like the quality of the workmanship I love the ring. My centre stone is 1.2 CT’s. nice size. I love your ring.

This has nothing to do with the video. My question to you is I picked out the diamond and set. But I’m second guessing the set. Is it okay for my Girlfriend to come with me and have her pick out her own set the diamond will sit on? I’m very indecisive knowing there are so much beautiful ideas. I would never. IMO a marquise and heart shaped diamonds are the worst. A marquise reminds me of old ladies, rose perfume, dollies and plastic on a sofa. If I’m spending $10,000 or more I want a classic shape not something that will look dated. Round all the way for me. it may be “boring” but it will never go out of style.
