Heartland will never be the same, but that's the point. Graham played such a huge role making the show what it is. However as much as we will miss Ty, this allows us to explore a side of Amy we've never seen before. Since day one she has always had Ty to lean on, we have never known an Amy without a Ty. However a piece of Ty will always be there through their daughter and their memories. I'm excited to see where the characters go this season and I think it's so important for this storyline to be told, because loss is inevitable and it can hit us at the most unexpected times. Wishing Graham the best of luck on his future endeavours and I will be continuing to support the show all the way as it's been such a huge part of my life.

Lots of people on Instagram kept asking the both of them about all the rumors circulating over the past year. And now people are hating Graham and unfollowing him because he made a decision 2 years ago he was ready to move on, it just had to happen when the time was right. I hope show goes on a lot longer. Do more spotlight of Amy and the horses and her teaching Lyndy. Less of Georgie front and center

Sucesso Graham em sua nova trajetória. Parabéns a todo elenco de Heartland pelo belíssimo trabalho realizado!♥️💖🇧🇷🇧🇷 Não mais ansiosa pela 14 temporada.

I just want to say that if fans feel that this material is too depressing and sad for them to watch (especially this year during a pandemic), they have every right to tune out. I don't think we need to feel guilty about it. I've seen fans attack others for choosing to stop watching. However, I watch shows for the feel good aspect. As an escape from real life issues. I cannot watch a show that makes me feel sad/cry, that is my choice as a viewer. I wish the cast/writers all the best. And if other fans can happily continue to watch, good for them. I just wish people had more of understanding for the fans that are genuinely upset and feel that they have to make a certain choice for their own well being. Like moving on to happier shows.

I also felt that way... Yesterday I was literally in mourning all day and I was refusing to watch the first episode because of exactly how you feel. My husband really encouraged me to watch the episode by the end of the day though because he was saying how I needed closure and to accept it because unfortunately I knew it happened and it was just making me upset. I have to say after watching the first episode and Amber's interview on it I started feeling better. I'm still totally deviated because I invested so much time and I love love love this show but it is what it is. Thankfully they do such a beautiful job on honouring this show and the characters and at least we have 13 seasons of Tys growth.

I love Graham and know that he had been thinking about moving on for awhile. I wish him the best. I will miss him.
Although I am feeling the real emotions of grief, feeling extreme sadness, anger, frustration, a loss etc, I know that I have to accept that Ty is gone. I love Ty, as he has been my favourite right from the start and the main reason I watched the series. He was at a great place in his life so a split from Amy or leaving his family wouldn't make sense as that would be out of character. That is why I understand why the character had to die, even though it is tearing me apart at the moment. I have been seriously struggling with this and been lashing out as part of my grief over the loss of Ty. I started to watch the show last year during covid. I loved the show from the start and it helped me so much to escape from my feelings of anxiety and depression, of being alone in lockdown etc. It gave me so much comfort and joy when I desperately needed it. Because I pretty much relied on the show to help me this way, and watched the 13 seasons several times, I am feeling a great loss because with the death of Ty, and the grief that I feel, the comfort and joy it gave me has gone. With these feelings still so fresh and real, I can't watch the show as it's too painful and am unsure if I will ever again. Even if I did it will never give the joy it once did especially if I watched from season 1 onwards, as I know that Ty will die. I now need to finding something to help me through this.
I understand that there was no other choice than for Ty die, but the show is over for me at this time, though I wish the cast and crew all the best with the show.

I cry every time I see it and know what is going to happen. The actors lend such powerful personality to these shows. While after listening to parts 1 and 2 of Graham's podcast and Ambers message and now the Exec Producers message it's not that I don't understand why Graham had to die off and I'm NOT mad, I'm just crushed and in pain about it for sure!! As with all their explanations about grief, I think it will just take time and understanding and acceptance of the horrible loss!!! WE as fans have to grief as well!!! So I hope they really get that!! It doesn't mean I'm not a SUPER FAN anymore, it just means I need time too!!! Also, I realized today how unreal and hard this must be for Amber, the twins, the entire cast, and the crew bc they all have to move on without him as well!! If I have anything negative to say it would only be that I just really wish it'd of been another Mongolia or such situation so IF and WHEN Graham EVER decided he wanted back in, there'd be a way, BUT.....now that CAN NOT happen now!!!! The fact that they killed Ty and the way they did it was the wrong choice. We didn't have to see it on screen. Ty could have gone missing and been presumed dead. There's so many other ways this could've been done that wouldn't be so shocking and upsetting for fans. This show was full of joy and hope but now it's sad and depressing. The show should've ended with Season 13 and been a happy ending for Ty and Amy. After 2020 being such a terrible year, I just wanted something to escape from the grief and pain not to be reminded of it. If I want reality I'll just watch the news, or true crime, or a documentary. Skipping ahead a year puts the audience who is in shock from Ty's sudden death at odds with the characters who are now ready to heal and move on after a year. It would have been meaningful to see characters react to Ty's death and get through that first year.

I have been thinking heaps as I'm still sad, depressed and grieving the loss of Ty. But I think that if the series doesn't get renewed for a 15th season, therefore ending the series, I think it would be nice to end happily. I read someone mentioned a coma, and I have been thinking abt the idea a lot. When Ty collapsed in EP1 then he went into a coma and has been in one the whole season. Season 14 would be dreams he's had while in the coma. Some of the dreams are things that have actually happened as when characters have visited they have told Ty abt what's been happening. (Don't have to visits to the hospital.) Then if they could get Graham to come back for at least one scene, they could end with him returning home and sees all the family at the ranch. The end. Or something like that. If Graham didn't want to participate,, then the end could be here coming home telling everyone that Ty has come out of his coma and everyone is happy. The end. I just think it would be nice.

Right now we going through so much death with the Covid-19 virus. It was the worst time ever to kill off a favorite main actor suddenly. I don’t feel it’s Heartlands business to teach me about death. We should have had a chance to grieve....I’m sure they will show us flashbacks etc. I am a very big fan I own all the videos and have even made a trip from Oklahoma to Canada for a fan day. It appears like everyone involved in making the show is in major damage control mode. Yes, Graham chose to leave the show but I absolutely maintain that if the Ty character had remained a part of the show's focus after seasons 8 and 9, he would not have left the show. Graham got so little screen time that he was no longer challenged as a performer. Why should he stay, given his marginalized role on the show?

    • @iplayhockey3751

I think that was Graham's decision to take time off though... I think the writers worked with him for awhile now trying to help him get the time he needs... That's what he seems like he's been saying in interviews...the writers and producers literally let him go to mongolia, they weren't going to do that originally but he asked if it was possible and they did that for him... So I definitely wouldn't put this on the writers. I'm not putting it on Graham either, it's just what happens when a story last 14 years

Hopefully, they have some flashbacks to show what took place in the year that was skipped. Really hoping Graham shot new scenes before he left, but more in Amy's and others' imagination, like how Amy saw him in the kitchen, desk and in the woods. Also like how Georgie thought she saw Ty walking during her competition. In the previews, there's a scene where Ty says to Amy "you're never be alone." Graham mentions 14 years, so this is the 14th season, so I hope there's more of Ty in it, although more like a "spirit" figment of someone's imagination.

I watched the videos of Graham, Amber and the producers of Heartland. In all of them I saw and heard the same story, a story that lies and does not reveal the truth about what happened.
The most important video, that of Graham, we can see an indecisive person, who left the series but is not clear on how his life will continue. A person who looks down, to one side or the other, but hardly ever looks straight at the camera.
I saw an undecided man, without being clear about what he should say, as if looking for some justification about why he abandoned a series in which he began his working life, without which he would be nothing.
The producers and Amber, expressed the most logical thing, no one will really say why this outcome occurred, but they fear the consequences. The consequences can be an abrupt fall in the ranking, which has been in decline for a few years and now could have the final blow.

It always struck me that they didn't give Graham the same chance to direct some chapters as they did Chris Potter or Michelle Morgan. I think that was a big mistake on your part. He is a great producer and director. Big mistake.

I understand if Graham said he was leaving after the show got picked up for season 14, but I still think you should have just ended the show happily last season. I for one prefer to see a happy show with the couple I love happy and healthy. I don't want to see Amy without Ty and Lyndy without her dad! I am no longer going to watch, but other fans can choose to keep watching.

Totally agree. I need my happy ending. Didn't want to see.Ty die and the collapse has really had a negative effect on me. Am angry but understand Graham wanted to leave. Wish him luck, but without Ty there the show will never be one I want to watch.

just same thoughts ,they could have completed the house and some episodes about borden family having beautiful moments, yah its unfair for hearland cast and team, writers, unfair to blame Graham, unfair to fans what Ty and Amy gone through their relationship they deserve some beautiful ending not like this. we know what Ty has gone through in his character right from childhood and Amy to what she is been through after Marion died , and Ty worked so hard to become a vet and all the breakups, accidents, and have to deal with wade, lilly. Finally got married and then mongolia. Just amazing inspiring journey. After all this things, the character end up dying.Just unfair to amy & lindy. This effected to me personally from last month, can't process this, Still yet don't know deal with this. watching season 14 was like most saddest and heartbreaking . You know what writers want to convey frim heartland that "life is unfair, need to move on". just don't know how to move on.. probably some time

@@ravindra5433 I agree. I have ended up watching more out of loyalty to Graham and Amber, but cry all the time and my depression gets worse. Once this season ends, I won't watch again. This has really affected my mental health and I know I shouldn't watching the last episodes of season 14 as it isn't helping my health. I just feel the need to see the last scenes of Ty and Graham. But I honestly wish none of season 14 was done. It's just not the Heartland I have known and loved. It's just too sad, too depressing, too frustrating. The series should have ended with season 13 as the story really had come full circle. All of the past issues had been resolved. Ty was watching Amy train a new horse in Shadow, like he did with Spartan and having Spartan there with Shadow made it special. Also, Lyndy was watching her mum do a join up like Amy did with her mum. It would've been the perfect ending. Instead we are left with something so devastating that we will never, ever have a Happy ending nor will the show be the same. The series has been ruined and I don't know how how to get passed that. I have all the DVDs and I can't watch them because of the death of Ty. I want them to say that season 14 is actually a nightmare Amy is having and that Ty is really alive and stop. I honestly don't think the series is going to last for long I believe heaps of people left upon Ty's death and heaps more will leave at the end of season 14. They have doomed the series and are selfish with what they have done to their fans who watched all 13 seasons.

Heartland is an amazing show. One in a million. Ain’t going to lie, it causes real heartache to hear that ty dies and graham is not part of the show. Graham, thx for helping to make the show what it is!! Great work by all over the years. I hope the show will continue for many many more years. Ive laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve been frustrated, been scared, and I’ve shared in the experience of true joy, love, and compassion through the portrayal of this family. Amber, Graham, Shaun, Jessica, Michelle, Alisha, Chris, and all the others...all are just amazingly talented actors and I just want to say thanks for all the great work you have done and continue to do. Ty will be missed!! The “realness” to life is just hard to accept sometimes.

I HOPE we will see flash backs of TY (Graham) in the same way as we see Marion (Amy's Mum) So sorry he felt that he needed to move on. His storyline in the last Series's has not been very strong BUT who knows the writers could have had better ones to come. Graham was Amy's strength and sole mate and main reason that I watched the show. (leave her as a widow and don't just marry her off)

I am very curious to see how Heartland plays out for the rest of the season. I just hope the Heartland channel posts each full episode on UA-cam after it airs in Canada otherwise us fans here in America will have to wait what seems like an eternity to watch it :( :(
