I’m about to buy my first pair of cycling shoes and was on the fence about Fizik or Quoc. This actually helped a lot and this was posted a day ago so perfect timing! Thank you!
I have "very" wide feet and tried various brands and models of shoes. For example, I tried the Shimano wide fit but it super uncomfortable and my small toe just feel super compressed. Personally I owned a pair of Fizik Vento Infinito Knit Carbon 2 Wide (size 43.5) and Lake CX333 Wide (size 44), they are comfortable for long ride without the small toe feeling compressed or burning sensation. I tried Nimbl Wide fit, and they are comfortable as well. Guess end of the day, before buying any shoes, go and cycle in the morning and get your feet "expand" and after that in the afternoon, go try on shoes. If possible get a proper shoe fit and cleat fit (especially for those with weird or sensitive feet). Different brand of shoes have slight variation in their sizing and base shape. Finally shoes is a very personal feel ... just make sure you are comfortable in it and allows you to effectively transfer the power in every pedal stroke you take. Cheers !!!
Hey jasper I love the videos ! Don’t give up ! I am a really big fan because of you I started riding although I can’t ride as far as you as I ride a bike with a lot of rolling resistance but I been riding 20 km ! I hope one day I can get a road bike and do a rti like you did ! Thanks for inspiring me and hope one day I can meet you one day and take a photo! Keep it up jasper!
Hey vanshon! Happy I managed to convince you to pick up cycling! As long as you’re having fun the distance doesn’t matter!! Pretty sure you’ll be doing big miles pretty soon if you keep at it. Thanks for all the support so far ❤️
I wish i had that many road shoes lol, im going to buy one for myself this christmas probably a shimano RC703. (cant afford sphyre) hahaha. Keep these videos coming jasper!
my feet yearn for quoc but blew my budget on the bike so only can afford the $100van rysels LOL. thanks for the insight and I've never seen a shoe review done this way before, its a refreshing take
what do you think about rc3 for first cleats shoes... i would like a honest reveiw even tho u didn't have it i wanted to know what's yo thoughts on it.
Hey I actually had rc3s as my first! TBH, any shoes would do! As long as they allow cleats just wear what’s comfortable for both your wallet and feet. The only difference is mostly the sole, and to be really honest I think the stiffness only matters if you’re putting loads of torque down. Hope this helps!
for me i been wearing QUOC and i'm quite frustrated that the "Boa System" doesnt last. Be careful of squeezing it tight. i bought a pair of boa system replacement from cycle project store to replace 2 times already. Heart pain. I was wondering why they bother to sell the "boa system" replacement and after wearing it... i know why. But to be fair, QUOC got some of the nicest customer service.
@ yes it’s okay. Wearing it fine now. I thought QUOC sell the Boa System seperately to let people change colour or something. “Personalise” the shoes. Didn’t know it’s pretty fragile. But it’s okay now. I love the shoes. Tbh, I don’t have this issue with my previous 2 gens of Shimano Sphyre.

Love the video :). Sizing wise - did you have to size up for the QUOC or did you go for same size across all shoes?

You should try bont cycling
Ah yes I tried it in store, but I didn’t really feel it was comfortable
Hello brother, is the weight important? Which one is the heaviest?
Hey they are all pretty similar in weight! All of them are higher end shoes, and pretty light and stiff!

Ah bummer! I haven’t faced that issue yet but I’ll take note! Hope your shoes are better now though
