Trying to calculate Labour/Gold is a retarded thing that people always does to value a prof over another ..
Because they don't count in What this prof Give them or benefit them in ways other than gold
Also you forget about Time Value which you can't calculate with Your Monkey Gold/Labour Graph ..
Let tell why larceny isn't just good , it's Perfect espically for AAU ..
What does larceny effects ?
1. coin purses 2. crates 3. Infusions 4-unlocking gems , alot of things that is considered Larceny .
When you are trying to level up larceny , you go and collect Coinpurses for money " 100% you know nothing about best places for larceny but w/e " While you collect coinpurses You gaining Ancestral levels which add up to ur stats , You are gaining more infusions/Scorlls .
i make about 120 Ancestral coinpurses per hour Grinding which is alot by the way "of course i;m not telling the spot i farm into , you have to figure that on your own :)" ..
Maybe fishing is giving you little more Gold value but if you consider in "time" , that you aren't gettign anything other than money from it is just dumb to call it " best way to make Gold" , Because you are just looking at gold/labour
Now let tell you why Larceny is so Good.
if you count in the labour reduce cost on Your infusions And howmuch labour that saves you which in other words " labour = money" "it saves me 10 labour per infusion at 70k larceny" "so imagine every 10 infusions i use i save 100 labour"
and you count in howmany Gold you making per Ancestral coinpurse and Crates from pet accesorry"of course the gems you get to ur gears" .
LEt's add to that levels , stats you get per ancestral level ,etc ..
You will know that Larceny is so far superior to any other prof .
You maybe making a little less Silver " it's not hat much" but if you count in "Time" , " gear upgrade reduce cost" You will know that Larceny MAkes you more Money than you think it does .
Instead of making a Monkey sheet on Labour/gold which doesn't give any prepective on the job Because time factor is important / or how The prof effects others Stuff you are doing is realy important to count in ..
From the looks of it , it seems You were one of that Pay2win players From old archage , that Never worked for gold in hislife , and just pay To get w/e they want.

What I love about Larceny is that it's not affected by the economy.
larceny is bad silver/labor, but is worth it to max because of the labor discout for hiram
Well no because it's better to have no larceny and max a skill that gives you 10s/l. I'm doing larceny atm because it's good money and I get coin purses anyways and use it upgrading my gear. However it's far from optimal, which I am fine with.
taserrr Im new to the mmo and the game, what should I focus on profession? Other videos say max larceny for discount on labor, but I don’t even know how to Max it efficiently. Advice?
Making gold is cool, but can we make Erenor gear in AAU? I really hate dailies, I'm about to quit this grindy hiram themepark. But if I can play to get money and get some nice gear in the long run, I might stay. Is it still possible to dream about Erenor in unchained?
In theory, it is possible to craft Erenor. However, with the library being disabled and soon to be removed I'm not sure how they plan on adding in Aynad scrolls, on legacy, those were fairly cheap due to the Heart of the Ayanad being available. The new method is to skip crafting and go straight to Ayanad via Blue Salt Bonds from there you can upgrade to Erenor. Problem with this process is you still need lower tiers to feed the Erenor to level it up. No cash shop dropping points means all regrade scrolls must come from braziers, again it isn't impossible but it will be nothing like getting it on Legacy. I would be very impressed to see somebody with an Erenor on Unchained, let alone a weapon or set of armor upgraded to competitive levels. There are many things like this I feel they didn't completely think through or did and just said F-it they can just do Hiram if they don't like it.
Mainly looking for queen crates as they are the only I know of that drop synthium shards for upgrading my undies. Which "select zones" do those drops in? I saw you hover over Reedwind, is that one of said locations?
Hi Plaguejaw, the Queen's Crate is the rarest in terms of mobs. From memory, they drop from Abyssal mobs in Aurioa only. The zones I know have these mobs are Sungold Fields, Numari, Exeloch, Marsala, Reedwind and Calmlands. Reedwind would be my choice only because they drop the Hiram Infusions and Blue Hiram Scrolls with the Commander's having a chance to also drop silver crates.
As for synthium farming that does suck, and IMO we don't have enough valid options in the Unchained Version. I will say I know Prince Crates do drop synthium but again from memory it was one lonely shard per 50'ish crates. You can also do the 3 man dungeons Palace Cellar, Sharpwind Mines and get drops off the bosses. Of course if you have to bring a party that kind of makes it not worth the effort if you have people rolling against you.
What I think is happening is the few guilds that have made it to rank 5 are buying those misagon crates which drop a fair bit. In turn they are just buying up other's prestige for the misagon crystals if they need them and spending all their prestige on those crates.
We also had costumes and synthium stones in one of the diligence rewards and you can covert bound synthium to unbound synthium by leveling up a costume on an alt and then using the brilliant mornstone to salvage it. When you salvage it you get back unbound sythium that you then can trade to your main. Though if you have the means to do this, you'll want to make sure you don't have any extra stones in the costume as the amount you get back is based on the grade of the costume (rare, arcane, unique...) not the amount of XP in it. So taking it up to unique and salvaging it soon as it gets to unique is optimal.

Whats your opinion on mahadevi fine gilda specialty (able to get the +15% every time) and fishing? Are they better/viable?
I personally have a history of not liking tradepacks because it for me is a boring process. That said they do have a place if the math works out. Gilda as an ingredient is also a bit subjective because you can get 2-4g per gilda depending on how many you sell at a time. It just comes down to the math, what are they worth on your server, how much are the ingredients worth, how long does it take, what is the risk, what is the silver to labor.

I know this is from last year, but do you know where to farm Queen's purses?
There is not a great spot, Auroian Mobs except Abyssal Legion over lvl 50. So marcala, numari, reedwind, etc..
As someone whos main prof in archeage was opening coinpurses(even making vids of it) I'm not happy about all those changes. 2* monsters used to have 100% drop rate, now its not true and you even get crate drop, it's a pain to even farm ancestral coinpurses now. No jackpots, no archeum and nother stuff from it, only gold......and thats why I'm starting on my fishing right now after watching your other vid.

I'm kind of treating larceny like a passive skill myself. In that I'm working on Hiram anyway so no reason not to level it. When it comes to spending labor for gold, I tend towards fishing. I also did get 3 accounts so, I have another full-time fisher and one full-time miner. Kinda sad that is the way it is, but, that is the way it is. Thank you for the comment. Be well!

im in master larceny i didnt get any labor discount help
Discounts are rounded up and only given when you complete a skill level. So as a master you would get a 10% discount when you have 50,000 points and start working in the Authority tree. If something is 5 labor points a 10% discount is only .5 labor and not applied. If it is 8 labor points a 10% discount is .8 labor and rounded up so you get the 1 labor discount.
Basically the main is saying... That while coinpurses are making everything else look like a waste of time, fish is still better than coinpurses.

Can you show us how to farm Ancestral Coinpurses and what kind of time investment it requires. People always say its "good" to open them up if you need to burn labor, but no one says how much time is involved in farming them. I tried farming them and only got 1-2 every 10 minutes.
This is a tough one, as how fast you can farm them depends on which mobs, where at, server population, your skillset, and your armor. I can say for this video as a mage I went to Whalesong durning war and used a moonlight juice (+60 loot drop) and it only took 15 mins or so to get these 30'ish purses. I have in the past showed me farming purses and a build I use but it is always meet with doubt due to the reasons I listed above. Everybody is different.

I'm kinda wanting one myself. I haven't even started with my dream ring since they changed it back in 4.0 or 3.5 to be a refreshable item. I don't know that anybody else is either as I have yet to see anybody trying to do Serp.
I've seen a few people on Tyrenos with the ring already and noone answers my questions on if there is a quest chain attached like there used to be or if it's different now
I opened about 100 of each on legacy to prepare for AAU and i got mostly the same numbers. There obviously is some variance but 7.5s/l for famed rank Ancestral purses is what I got aswell.
This however means that if you do nothing else (on otheer accounts, etc) you will fall behind fishers by quite a signifficant margin

Well, salt water is way better but maybe slower depending on your server, and your equipment. If you look at freshwater the s/l ratio of that is still over 5 silver per labor at 0 skill level, which is better than ancestral coinpurses at 0 skill level. However, with larceny you can farm some mobs that drop other items that will contribute to gold, like brinebound rocks, shipwright bags, silver crates, timespace scrolls etc. But if you just look at silver to labor of sports fishing vs coinpurse fishing wins.

Where do you farm Coin Purses?
Some times when you open an ancestral crate you get these things that you can open again and it always gives you an item that says pet enhancement, which I assume is useless. I get alot of them, dont what they are for or how to use them, or if I should just destroy them. Could you elaborate on this please?
If you're speaking of the Companion's Growthstone those are far from useless. If you target a pet and click on the stone it will give that pet the XP. Can be used to level battle pets and mounts. The pet in which you give the XP to does not have to be yours. So it is one of the few things you can actually sell to other players, not directly via trade but, somebody may want new battle pet or mount leveled quickly and can seek you out for the service.

is western hiram mountains the best place to drop ancestral purses? In whalesong the crate/purse ratio is way higher
I have found no "great" places. I like whalesong because generally speaking on my server I can do it without much bother. Also you may find Moonjuice helps, it is fairly cheap to make yourself even buying mats from AH. Hope that helps.

I started with Unchained and am curious about if pushing proficiencies right now makes any sense, because it seems like you lose money for now. So would you actually recommend pushing Fishing and Larceny (talking of having 2 accounts) for now and maybe then push the proficiencies you really want to use due to the fact that the market right now doesnt offer you much profit for selling your crafted goods?
Max out 3 accounts, I said it in my original Unchained videos, the pay to win may be gone but the Alt age is still very much a thing. It is just the way the game was made. 2 extra accounts focus on different things, one may be fishing, other can do mining, husbandry, logging, commerce, exploration, it really doesn't matter, you just don't want to be pigeon-holed into having 3 max level X accounts if something changes down the road. Diversity is key. My 3 accounts (main larceny and commerce, alt1 mining, alt2 fishing).
@@Aired another archage youtuber advocating for buying alt accounts. You guys are literally scumbags and a big part of the reason why people are quitting the game. This alt account bullshit is another way of p2w, actually destroying the economy.
Where/how can you get the dawnsdrop items?
Dawnsdrop gear is from the Blue Salt Botherhood quest line. I know Jahlon (Paradox Gaming Network) did a write up on how that was obtained awhile back.

Coin purses have been adjusted at every level, I didn't record data for Noble's but, I would bet they are slightly worse than Jester's. When they updated larceny around 4.5 they completely normalized loot from crates and the gold drops from purses. With the exception of library crates those maybe worth a second look since they drop costume materials which vendors for decent gold. I will examine them as soon as we can get some fricken woodlots going for earthmana leaves so we can make index's. Be well!
@@Aired I opened 387 Noble Coinpurses today. They gave me 38g 85s 83c. After calculation = 2.51 G/L with 0 proficiency They not worth it !!! Not at all !

I dont get the reason of using dawnsdrop in larceny, since the 5k it gives doesnt count to lvling up the larceny.. same with mining i guess. Can someone explain it to me please?
If you use it, you basically have to get 5k less proficiency to get the next level boost, meaning you get better silver per labour rates earlier
@@corexmaily maybe its different in larceny idk.. but for example in farming it doesnt work that way. I need to have my own proficiency points to lvl it up, dawnsdrop doesnt help with that. Only allow me to craft things that require specific points amount

@@moonmoon3579 sorry for the late answer... It works for the xp boost not the labor, I am trying to lvlup all skillsets to 55 (got 3 left) and this actually helps
