PaRappa, the original rapping dog! Not content with launching the series, getting the girl, getting the sequel, and battling Playstation mascots, he's here to show Lammy how the rhythm genre is done! He repeats Lammy's day with an unrelated half-plot in the remixed stages.

PaRappa's story for this stage is actually exactly the same as Lammy's, but with one key difference: instead of breaking his neck from slipping on a banana peel, the Robot Chicken parody where PaRappa is defending himself in court and gets shot by MC King Kong Mushi happens.

Upon his return to the moral realm, PaRappa was almost immediately found guilty. Turns out going to Hell and not Heaven when you die is pretty clear evidence you did something wrong.

He helped put out a fire, put babies to sleep, and helped a confused pilot fly a plane, how did he end up in hell?
Personally, I like to think that there's literally no reason why PaRappa is going through all this. I dunno, I just find that kinda funny.
Why is he putting out a fire? No reason.
Why is he babysitting along-side some caterpillar lady? No reason.
Why is he flying a plane with an elder with a head trauma induced dual personality? No reason.
Why is he wasting natural resources to make just one guitar when he can easily make more? No reason.
Why is he in Hell? It happens.

He played it funny, that’s why he’s in hell.
Well, I'm going to explain to you why and the logical reasons for each stage, my friend:
- Stage 1: His father sent Parappa to send something to his mother (who works as a firefighter), but it arrived at a not very appropriate moment (that is, the fire in the building), Parappa wanted to get his mother's attention, but his mother's boss did not allow him. His mother seeing him there, asked his boss to let him help them, and so the stage begins.
- Stage 2: He was walking near the daycare thingy, but broke a decoration near the door. He made all the babies cry and Cathy was desperate to calm them down. She brought Parappa inside to help, with the excuse to "put the kids to sleep", even though he didn't want.
- Stage 3: While Parappa tried to flee along with Pj, they decided to get on a place where they can rest (without realizing that it was actually a plane). Realizing that and the all-angry captain sending them to pilot, they completely refused, trying to escape. To his bad luck, only Pj managed to escape by jumping out of the window while saying "I REFUSE TO FLY, I AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS !!". Making Parappa end up piloting the plane, thus starting the stage.
- Stage 4: After accidentally breaking Lammy's guitar, Parappa immediately went to a music store to get it repaired and to prevent Katy from noticing and getting very furious at him for breaking her bandmate's guitar. When he arrives at Chuck's store, Parappa begs crying for a new guitar for Lammy, to which the unfriendly salesman refuses. Like Lammy, he begins to plead, saying that he will do anything for it. Arousing interest in Paul Chuck, he grabs his chainsaw and turns it on, to which Parappa begins to panic and try to escape, until Paul Chuck stops him and hands it to him. All he wants to do is make a guitar out of it. This is just my idea of what the phase goes, so please respect it.
- Stage 5: After trying to play the instrument "funny", Pj accidentally hits Parappa with the instrument leaving him unconscious on the ground. Pj tried to wake him up, but he ..... was already dead and he didn't realize this and took him home to recover. Upon regaining consciousness, Parappa woke up in the underworld and thinking that it was the end, he was recruited by Yoko's manager to replace his second singer. Similar to Lammy, Yoko allowed Parappa to return to the MilkCan concert on the condition that she sing well on the song.
Funny enough in development, PaRappa was meant to have a totally different story in Um Jammer Lammy, and match up to the cutscenes.

Are we all going to ignore in the cool version of this level, parappa is literally being consumed by the souls of the damned without realising it.

RandomTomboyishgirl There is an NTSC version to this game, and based on Lammy's story on the first part of the game, there will be exclusive lines that will be played during the song but will show the original NTSC version line, though it will play the non-NTSC version line that the censors in the NTSC version decided to edit out.

This the hardest son I"ve played from all the three games" after this one is provably the one we're you make the guitar. U m jammer lammy is the hardest one. Hair scare (max diff) and bathroom rap are the hardest in their respective games.

the only thing about these Parappa stages I hate is that they make absolutely no sense. I mean, it made sense why Lammy was going through all these stages, but here, the cutscenes have NOTHING to do with what's happening. Except stage 5, which I use very loosely for relating to the situation. One second he's at the burger joint, the next he's on a plane. One minute he's talking about the stage design and dresses, the next he's caring for babies. WTF?
Maybe the parappa stages are either his dreams for each day or simply uncanny to the story. These are just my guesses
