Excellent work as usualbut I wonder why the wood posts are there and where you got straight ones. IIRC a support column would need to be filled with concrete and rebar.
How would you fill in between those columns with the same block as previously used? The steepness of the hill would seem to require a lot of excavation for proper footings in order to lay block level. I don't see how to fill in between the columns.
if you didnt have the lower existing wall and you just had the ones to do on the hill how would you start. do the first and last piers then fill the middle ones in with a line?
Hi Ryan, You say the homeowner made the footings and set the posts. How do you know that the footing will support the column, especially on the hillside? It is your reputation at stake so I would have thought that you would have built the footings and forego the posts.
It's easy to walk up hill when the money is walking for you. I need one brick pier . I was just counting how many bricks I will need before I watched this.
Nice work! 👍 How deep are the footings?

It doesn't really make sense to put those posts there ,I went there just to lay the bricks the home owner is the one who did the post and the footing

yes thats the right way to do it
is there a video showing how to you set the footer to them columns
i wasn't the one who did the footing, but its super easy for you to do it
Just get your elevation right and the concrete will self level
I wish I can do that type of work
But I have a question, my question is that are you going to put something inside the hole? Thank you
