I've got one in pieces in the corner. I wanted to make it not suck, but it would have taken too much to do so. So I robbed it for screws and springs to use in other projects, and I'm hacking up and modifying the barrel attachment for a cosmetic build I'm working on.

I'm 31 Drac. I went from nerf, rubberband, cap and squirt guns to paintball and finally returned to nerf when my kids wanted to get into it. As far as a nerf sniper rifle how about a drain blaster singled with a three foot blowgun?

I have a trans green sonic Long Strike BTW. Plastic doesn't seem as strong as the White Out / N-Strike Blue ... I'm older than the Crossbow - my first Nerf weapon was the Bow and Arrow. I love my crossbow though.

I have had 3 or 4 mavericks that I have been having fun with since my brother gave them to me when I was 2 (way back in 2009) and yet I have never even laid eyes on a longshot.i still have the recon cs-6 from my childhood in my room on a wall, complete with the exact same half orange, half clear tinted orange 6 round mag. Still think back to the afternoons trying to shoot squirrels with my recon lol

I'm a bit old fashioned. My special is a Longshot rifle with a Recon barrel, modified with the air restricter removed and a 14kg spring, custom resin bolt sled, new silicone grip trigger, and stronger trigger spring and cocking-latch spring added. I've had the parts for years to incorporate a brass breach system but never got around to it. It's a good thing Nerf brought out the Accustrike darts; in it's current state without that tighter brass breach, this thing shot Elite darts with so much air both behind and around them that they tended to fishtail off target midflight. Accustrike darts don't seem to suffer from this.

Centurion back when I wanted it for Christmas when it came out was more like $80+ dollars. I never got that Centurion because it was too big for Santa's sleigh. But I am buying one now to gut and shred lol

When I first started out in Nerf, my sniper of choice was the Retaliator. However, since I got my hands on a standard yellow N-Strike Longshot and an Elite Longshot I would love to one day modify them. Here, any tips on how to modify one to such an extent that stock elite darts can still be fired more accurately and faster without fishtailing? :)

Drac, there was a sonic series longstrike, I remember a buddy of mine who would war with it all the time, even though I told him it was awful, what a stubborn man he was....
I love my calibrun it’s amazing how many options there are you can go as low as 120 FPS or as high as 400
But you can get the Long shot to get 250+ fps
The only one I have is the Centurion. If I had a 3D printer, I’d make a Caliburn. Also, I dare you to make a Caliburn that looks like a gun from Fortnite (if you can, maybe after that rocket launcher).
This is an amazing video! This has shown me so much and now I know what to get! Just one question, is the raptor strike good?
The centurion can get 90 ft stock, with fresh darts. I've modded mine into what I call a century rifle. Remove the three barrel locks, the air restrictor, and a few of the locks (I don't remember any particular ones, one was by the trigger mech.) Whenever I want I just pull off the barrel, and It does get at least elite range. Can't wait to see how it does with accustrike megas. I like it for 4 on 4s at most.

I tried to use the Centurion for my Crescent Rose Build...but my god, opening that thing was so terrible I returned it within the hour and went with the Raptor Strike.

The Whiteout Longstrike kinda looks like it has a Division themed paintjob.
Audio is definitely better. Once you have the pegboard full of blasters, that should help even more. Maybe consider getting a lav mic, too.

I made an elite darts adaptor for the centurion and it shoots pretty strong and really accurate
what do you have on the ceiling? And what kind of Mic are you using at the moment
One question can you put a small motor to the Longshot to make the slide automatic and a sensor to the magazine well?
Loved and miss my crossbow.. sold it a couple years back. Didn’t mod it but I’m sure whoever got it on eBay did. I actually miss the original nerf bow n arrow!
You could probably make a rival sniper out of the Helios and the longstrike barrel(because of the massive size of the longstrike barrel a rival ball, fits through it quite nicely)

Toss some sound panels on the ceiling and a few on the floor in front of you at an angle that faces you. That should cut down on the sound bouncing around the room. At the very least, you could also switch to a Lav and Mic Pack system in stead of a shotgun style mic.

I actually remember giving a crossbow to a friend for his birthday when I was 7
My long shot is the old blue one and it has seen mor action than ww2. The only jary riged thing on it is the bolt. I replaced the original bolt with a brass rod and bent it up to my comfort and the whole thing is still hitting hard
Don’t forget about the crystal series longshot cs6 I got one at toys r us a long time ago. It was a green clear one.
