Just bought my first 4runner, a 2000 sr5. Love videos like this showing off different mods that work well. I will be 3D printing a bunch of stuff from ABS/ASA.
Great video. To many other videos don't show how to remove dash parts by saying "here, here and here". Also, just grabbed the same cup holder and the little one for the center console for my 94 4runner. Bolted mine in too. Highly recommend theses cup holders and if you can BOLT them in.
one of my favorite mods for my 98 limited was removing the old center consul and replacing with a 99. Now I have normal cup holders and higher cushion for my elbow when driving.
It's so cool to see how much love and attention you've put into it, and it's obvious that you really care about the vehicle even if you abuse it haha. I know it takes a lot of work and dedication but worth it when it gets you to sick places.
Loving the 4Runner man! Looks killer! Makes me miss mine. I do have a Tacoma though 🤘🏼Just used your other video to do a rear diff fluid change today. Albeit a bit different due to having an 08 with a lsd. Thanks for the awesome vids!
Brother do the center console upgrade from a 99-02 it's better than that side one you have. With the clock, if it doesn't work take it apart and stretch the 4 springs just a bit and it works. The front seat bottoms are interchangeable so if you find a good passenger side it'll fit on the driver's. I have a 97 also and the cupholder model is worth it all day long.
Nice one Kelly! I’ve done the LED pocket lights and the cig lighter to usb swap and loved it! Was going to do the Ram mount through the clock location but that bracket is a much better idea. Thanks for sharing this really functional mods! Keep em coming! Question: what was the particular model of the RAM mount was it? May have to check the website again!
I only changed the 3 backlights on the dash to led as everything else was way too bright at night. Made the mistake of changing the burned out D for the gear indicator on the dash and had to take it apart the next day to replace with one of the old bulbs. Didn't like that bright green light on while I was driving. Also, a 2 din android stereo is probably one of the best interior upgrades to do right now. Make sure its wireless android auto/ carplay.
I loved upgrading to LED lights in my runner, however the gauge cluster was way too bright for me at night since some lights in there can't be dimmed. I just went back to standard bulbs for that, but everything else LED is the way to go!
Those are some great mods. You might consider using Element fire extinguishers instead. They are lighter and provide considerably more output than regular units. Plus, you can stow them in the door pockets so that they are immediately accessible. By stowing a FE in the back, you would be wasting precious seconds that could make the difference between saving your vehicle or opting to grab a bag of marshmallows. Know that having an additional FE in the back is a good idea. But having your primary in the back is not a good idea. It takes too long to access.
I definitely considered those. Would actually prefer it a bit, but we ended up getting a cheap deal on some regular ones a while back. Those element ones are quite pricey as well.
@@Beacon_Offroad While the Element extinguisher itself is a little more expensive, you end up spending more on a regular unit because of the mounting bracket system. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks on the Element because it puts out more than double the amount of a regular unit and for a much longer period of time. It doesn't make sense to spend all that time and money on a rig only to cheap out on critical and essential safety equipment. At the very least, mount the extinguisher where you can get to it in the least time possible. Maybe one of those front seat floor mounts? At least you can grab it right away. Seconds matter. The other thing to consider is it's safe to breathe the output of the Element. You can't inhale what a regular FE puts out. Regardless, best of luck with your system.
thanks for the heads up about the Element fire extinguishers. That's a really good point about the accessibility and output, and I can see how having them in the door pockets would be super handy. I definitely want to make sure I'm prepared for any emergency situations, so I'll definitely look into getting one for the front too. And you're right, wasting precious seconds trying to access one in the back could be a big problem if things go south. I'll definitely reconsider where I'm keeping mine and prioritizing accessibility. cheers

Just noticed this and thought i’d shout, when you remove the middle section of the middle dash, the leather around the 4wd is just put around the plastic. all you have to do is grab some of it and pull towards the middle and you won’t even need to u screw the 4wd stick
Who makes the bracket on top of the A/C-Heater control or is it DIY? Also, who makes the double cup holder you installed on the right side of the center console? Thanks Kelly!!

Where did you get your panels for the windows and console? I replaced my stock cup holder but I can't see my temp cluster. I need all my lights replaced in it. Gonna get one of those off etsy
kel, can i ask a question have tech deck for tacoma. wanted to know what size bolts on that mount you have cause i need to do same thing thanks in advance.
@offthegridadventure7688 ah that sucks, i think there's a few companies making them. Cant remember who else though, if i come across them ill let you know.

Only downside to led lights for the dash are the blinkers, they blind you at night, don’t upgrade blinkers if possible
Fantastic video. Very direct with no frills. The video went straight to the point. Keep it up 👍🏻

Definitely.
I need to update the dash lights on my 94 Toyota Pickup. Nice to see the difference the LED bulbs make.
Do it. it's such a great upgrade.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching.
What brand of LEDs did you use for the dash and for the interior lights?

I find that interesting, I dont recall them not being dimable or too bright. I have driven my truck in a few months, its all apart currently.
I mounted my aux beam where that ash tray is by the shifter the 6 gang fits nicely there
Nice, really no wrong way to do it. Good spot.
Great vids and info all around… where are you guys located? Near vancouver BC I hope.. in case we need works done on our 3grunner?
Hey thanks. Were in Surrey-Fleetwood.
Great video man! Setup looks great 👏🏻
Thanks, dude. My Tacoma is awesome, but I seriously love my 4runner.
Beautiful runner, what size tires she wearing, and how much lift?
Great content bruv keep it up
Thanks.

Who makes the molle panel on the center console by your leg?
Where did you get the panel you had in the back
Do any generations of 4runner have a diesel type engine??
Does the limited come with rear locker?
Where did you get the mount you screwed into the dash? I tried buying one from Yotanation but pretty sure that is a fake company…
Which dash cam do you have?
Link for the dash lights?
kel, can i ask a question have tech deck for tacoma. wanted to know what size bolts on that mount you have cause i need to do same thing thanks in advance.
Thos are regular 10mm bolts, 8x1.25 thread. But, honestly, I'd use smaller hardware. Its over kill, just didnt have anything smaller at the shop.
@@Beacon_Offroad Kelly thanks you love your channel so I still get ideas from you
Hi kb.. can the cup holder be mounted on the other side ? . I'm right hand drive..
Unfortunately no.

Outbound Nevada doesn’t have a website anymore
@ethanwarren123 yeah, I believe they closed a while ago..
