- With a whole week of racing, there was bound to be some crazy moments at Sick Week 2022, presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.
From Stefan Rossi's day one save in his Chevy Nova to Aydan Bailey's high speed accident in the 57 Chevy wagon, there was no shortage of chaos.
Just like Drag Week, Rocky Mountain Race Week or Midwest Drags, Sick Week is a five-day long drag racing adventure that takes place throughout Florida and Georgia.
Tom, you and the Sick Week crew have set a standard for Drag 'N Drive events that is so high all of the others will pale in comparison. Great work from all involved. Thanks to you, Motion Raceworks, Gear Vendors and all of those who contributed to make this the event all others will be compared to.
Huh,?! You ever heard of drag week ? Its THE drag'n'drive original.
Sick week, rocky mountain week and RM 2.0 are just copies of the original.
@@Ali-bz9gd Original does not always equal better. This week was much better than any of the drag weeks I've watched.
In my opinion, this was the best drag and drive event out of all of them. Thanks for the live streams each day! Can't wait till the next one!!
well, its the only event to happen so far this year. so i'd hope its the best
Tom one hell of an event. Thank you for the live feed and to all the sponsors. Wish I could of seen in person. This helped my winter time blues!
I have to say Tom Sir it was a SICK WEEK. It was the best Drag and Drive i have seen yet. You and all who helped rock it. Thank you and to Ayden glad you are okay and hope to see you back up and going soon. 2 Racers who where SICK also was guy with Black Chevy 2 who wrecked and GOOFY in the Honda with Brent his Dad from PFI. They went through hell but smiled. Again ty Tom
It was a super cool Event, we came all the way from Austria just for Sick week! And we had a blast!!! Thank you so much Tom and Luke!
In my opinion you and your crew knocked it out of the park. Can't wait till next year.
Awesome event Tom....Congrats to all the guys and gals that helped make it a success and to you for your attention to safety that kept your son Aydan from serious injury while traveling through the traps at 163 mph on the roof of the 57 Chevrolet wagon...
Mr. Bailey, that was a great week of racing. Thank you for the live feeds and all the content, that you and everyone else put on you tube. How is Aiden? Hope he is ok. Thank you again
Thank God your son is ok. This was truly a SICK WEEK. Thanks Tom your the man. I was pulling for you the most. Your car is truly a SICK ride.
One hell of an event to watch from all sorts of angles. Thank you.
Thanks for all you do Tom!
What can I say but you put on a great drag and drive event So with that thank you to all involved for a great week
What a great success , absolutely awesome all the way around ( except for Ayden ) . The live stream was great. Please have another sick week !!!!
Hey Tom just wanted to say thank you for bringing us an epic inaugural sick week! Look forward to many more. You raised the bar high
Watching the streams you provided from the UK was amazing, tha k you. There were a few teething problems but by the end of the week it was a real joy to watch it. Makes me wanna fly out for the next event hire a car and just join in for the hell of it.
The ' ORGANGRINDER ' Model-A coupe of Reggie Moore was grabbing them gears . He was hopping down the track . Great video .
Aside from the trauma/drama aspect, I liked this almost as much as my first intro to this type of racing at RMRW.
The only difference to me was that absolutely gorgeous scenery around the Rockies.
I found several more channels to sub (and did) and how could it get any better?
Thanks, to Tom Bailey and crew!!
Hope your boy is doing ok Tom, you definitely put on an event that's for sure. The live stream was on point. When's the next one???
Awesome event, Awesome coverage, to Tom and everyone who organized Sick Week THANK YOU!!!
My Jazzie at 2:03
Make sure yall Subscribe our UA-cam Channel for more Updates on Jazz and the V. Also what's coming up for my Silverado Build
Damn your shoe dance and head first jump in the truck bed should have made the wildest moments. 😁 Jk hope everthing is going better for you two.
@@chrisjay7736 lol
This was an amazon event to watch from at home. Thanks Tom! Glad your boy is safe! and thanks for allowing 1320 video to get amazing coverage of the event!
What a great event. loved watching the live stream and everyone’s video during there travels. Took my interest in drag racing to another level. I hope one day to have my own car
“But he needs new underwear…” Dead! 😂😂😂😂
I'd say this was a great entrance for Sick Week into the drag & drive scene. Watched live every day and spectated at BMP on Friday, I hope you guys are planning on making this a yearly thing because if you are I am definitely gonna get my car freshened up to partake next year!
Awesome event ,great recording, lots of angles and directions ,and editing . Nice film crew.
That's a great plug for SicktheMagazine!, Mr. Tom!
And a great event, wish I could've been there.
I hate the Baileys' misfortunes, but love you're physically ok! When's the next Tom Bailey SICK WEEK ? LMAO! But seriously...
Hey tom why not have cameras at the end of the track no need to reply just curious great job ole boy
Congrats on Sick Week Tom and all who helped You out with the awesome event. You've made a bench mark for all the other drag and drive events. 💯🤟🆒👋 Aussie Fan 💯🇦🇺🤣
Thanks for doing all this Tom. Glad you son is ok after that wild crash. I know my two buddies that were doing some of the filming for the stream had fun.
I love the night racing. Man all the cars were awesome. Great drivers and awesome week
Im mexican and one day ill be drag racing in this drag dream event! Great event Tom Bailey!
we all want to see the remains of shitbox
1320 Video has a glimpse of the car. It looked totalled. The fact Aiden walked away is a testament to safety equipment. The body was trashed but roll cage looked like it held up
I bet Tom will do a recap video in his normal style and include that.
Tom, this looked like one of the best events I have seen put on. The restrictions are easing and the 2023 event I will be there, hope it's even half as good as this. I just have to figure out the car but it will be done for this event next year.
Great event and a great watch. So glad the everyone got out with no serious injuries. Cars can be rebuilt and I'm sure they will. Come back stronger.
Definitely need someone filming from the top end next event. Sure enjoyed the coverage.
That black s10 blazer slips and slides everywhere it runs!
It was SICK Dude :) Keep them coming!!! You could do two per year like RMRW :P
Dammit Tom, you got me again popping out of the wheelwell, I crack up every time I see it.
3:12 that's some driving!
GREAT JOB TOM!!!
i love the camera on this channel , it have so much colors and tones , much better than cletus or 1320
Well Cletus does film on his iPhone so it's to be expected.
I believe Tom had a production company do these video for him. Very high quality, but not the norm. I believe Tom uses gopros and his phone like most others
Got my magazine last week and watched every bit of Sick Week content I could find. Whats the story on the Caddy crash? brutal. Keep up the good work!
Hi Tom
Really great event...but I think that there is a shared sentiment about Aydan's health/car/plans? Please update us all.
5:15 yeah, lets add a new helmet to the tab aswell 🙃
Great compilation 👍🏻
Damn... my hood got some SERIOUS air (and hangtime)!
That Black Nova is the homie. His shop is right next to ours in Torrance California and his car is bitchin. I'm glad he got the Sickest of the Sick and kept running. 🏆👏
Glad your boy is ok that was a scary one.Hopefully you can salvage a good amount of parts... Also hoping mama isn't too freaked out as well
His mama passed a few years back. 😪
@@edwardmiller9038 I did not know that. Thank you.
Crazy video coming right up
Thank you sir
💀🎈
So glad to finally see a jump in subscriber's, congrats.
Tom you put on a great event, thank God for multiple monitors.
"The year is 2032: Drag Weeks have grown into Drag Months around the country... hunting for E85."
This is how the mad max convoy became a rolling gas-hunting gang of freaked-out machines. Drag week'ers. 🤘
Rebar--From one who loves the Mad Max series: That was a brilliant comment!!!!!
What a great event
Whoa.... thankfully nobody seriously injured.
Video Evidence of Safety Rules and Cage Construction Design being done correctly. Big thanks out to everyone involved in making sure the Rules and Designs that have evolved over decades of racing, are being implemented and monitored, and to all the Safety Safari Crews who showed they were ready to respond every time.
Brilliant week Tom, have you caught up on the missing sleep yet 😁😁
My heart stops every time I watch Aiden's crash! Thank God for the safety measures that are implemented these days!👍 🙏🤯 There are definitely 👼 Angels watching over some of us! 🙏😇🤧
I saw in other videos that Aiden is ok, so can we get a history/story about the ‘doom’ part of the car when you do an update? I seem to remember something, but memory is going with old age.
Congrats to you and everyone involved on a great event 👍👊🇺🇸🤘
Did PFI Speed have anything that made it?
Haha perfect intro
Tom did that @sickthemag plug like 50 did the halftime show 😂😂
can we get a interview with Ayden on this channel a father and son decompress from that excitement of his wild ride
What was on the track that was causing all these cars to go sideways at the end of the traps ?
We Went back and looked at her Dash Cam and we saw something on the track. She was the 2:03 wreck
Everyone tying to turn at the finish line😆
That little white Honda fell apart at the starting line!! 😂😂😂😂
Hotrod--But I'm sure that you noticed that the driver AND the rest of the team did NOT. :)
Your son has a spectacular crash under his belt that looked scary as heck.
Glad he's O.K. Hopefully you'll fix the wagon?
Just a thought. How about a grudge race between Tom Bailey and Steve Morris? I’d pay to see that.
Did the CTS-V have an equipment failure ? That looked like a hard hit.
We we back to our dash cam and there was a rough spot on the track.
Big Joe - best burnout of the meet.
What made the newer black car wreck?
We Went back and looked at the dash cam and saw something on the track...
@@BuiltByLondonRacing Bummer. crazy how easy it is to lose control on a drag strip
Yeah...sucks. We have a Special person helping to get it transported back to Dallas though
Wheelie bars are a must
Thank u for a grate event
Drivers on Day One "we don't know why tech is taking so long"
42 wrecks/in the wall/upside down/helmet over the wall/fall apart later, we ALL know why it took so long.
Don't bring junk and it won't take so long
Hey Tom, Great job with Sick Week! Hope your Son is OK, nobody shows or tells us of his condition
There's some footage of Tom and Aiden watching the wagon being carried off the track with a front end loader. I hated it for them. Especially Aiden. But I'm assuming they will find Aiden something else faster and better in the near future! Gotta get started on it for the next D&D event they'll be attending!!
Aiden wins biggest moment for sure.
Hope you show us how well "Shit Box" faired. Thanx again for the race coverage.
Steering wheel falling off sounds like something I'd do
Did anybody else notice that Aidan crashed, the same spot as the car at 0:49 did, curious.
Oh damn finally a video that's actually under 10 minutes instead of one that should be 7 minutes but has 26 extra minutes of Tom rambling for no reason...
5:14 poor helmet
Damn talk about RAW!!!!! @7:24
Oh man,i hope Aiden is ok and that you can put the shitbox back together, love from Sweden.
Next, should let your sony drive the sick 1.0
so what actually happend when that caddilac suddenly went into the wall? (and shitbox of doom did sort of the same)
Anyone else think of Doug Herbert yanking the steering wheel off years ago?
1:20 Jamies burn out looked so uneventful it was surprising to me, that the whole engine block was split in half...
So, what's the prognosis for The Sh*tbox of Doom? Can she be saved? I'm glad Ayden is ok. Poor kid, lost his 4wheel friend.
"now harry knows how to drive, but harry needs new underwear" has got to be the single greatest racing clip i've ever seen
So how is the kid? Nothing for the last 7 days when we were watching daily. The silence is odd. Let us know how the kid is.
You know, in my opinion, if dragstrips ask so much of the drivers for safety equipment, fluid containment, dibres control, etc, I think an easy safety add-on they could do is a layer of old tires or something on the inside wall at the top end of the track because some of those crashes where the car goes sideways at the top end result in an EXTREMELY hard impact to the solid wall. NASCAR changed their walls many many times to reduce the impact forces when a car goes sideways. I'm sure you could find enough people to donate old tires or maybe get local tire shops to donate tires then make a small crush zone
- 👍 👍 🔧 -
So I didn't see but Tom won his event like he was talking about right? He said he was gonna hurt peoples feelings and win big. Sometimes it's better to not say anything and just know control is an illusion.
See, you forgot to state in the rules of sick week that crashing isn't allowed
COOL
Stinks that Aydan's S**tbox got crashed!
Way too many crashes for running on prepped tracks
How is your son doing after crashing shit box haven't heard from you since sick week everything good
Event was great, Announcers really sucked.
I have nothing against it but PFI weed needs to get their shit together.
i think jamie has built a pretty solid car and just faced some bad luck. goofy's car on the other hand, thats just a death trap.
