My only question to luxury hauls is “what does she do for a living?”😁 Luxury minimalism is the way to go no matter how much money I have. Excess gives me anxiety.
some people are just not living within their means. I know someone who is living from paycheck to paycheck but wearing luxury from head to toes. Sad but living in luxury can be addictive
I am a responsible person whom makes decent salary & had already built my 1-year emergency fund, and yet I still find it hard to live in the luxury path. For example, buying a Chanel jacket, I will have to give up 1.5 month saving into my retirement fund. Thus, imagine as a fixed salary earner, how many Chanel jackets I could buy each year. I think this luxury path is for millionaire, neither for ones with fixed income nor ones who lives paycheck to paycheck.
Constant luxury unboxings and frivolous spending is turning luxury goods into fast fashion - the opposite of what it should be. Eileen's content on mindful spending is so refreshing!
I feel that one of the pros of living in the pandemic is it finally helps us realised what’s essential. Thank you for sending positive messages to the UA-cam community
I absolutely love your channel and appreciate the messages you’re spreading out to the world. I completely agree 💗 Over the past few months, I have really tried to curate my own collection, and I’m only buying what I need. If I have less, I can better appreciate, admire, and use what I have to its fullest. ☺️ Thanks for this video!
I think it's gross when influencers constantly show huge hauls and unboxing videos! It's voyeurism to the extreme! Most of the viewers likely can't afford to buy those things, so they get pleasure in watching you or someone else do it! Are we ever going to reach a state of being where we celebrate the joy of minimalism and environmental restraint!? I agree with you so much about your statement of "congratulating over consumption"! Good for you to create content that you can be proud of, and with as much authenticity as possible! 💓
It really is sinful in my opinion to have all that stuff. That money could have better served these people in investment accounts or the public by way of charity then sit in a closet in the form of stuff that they even admit they never wear or forget they have.
@@solabonafide I agree. It would be great if those rich girls (compulsive shoppers/hoarders) could form some kind of a charitable foundation to help people in need instead of overspending their money for luxury handbags, shoes, jewelry.....Or better yet, I think they need to have psychotherapy or counseling for their compulsive spending/shopping addiction. Please don't get offended girls, I just want to help. Thanks.
I personally have no issue with people spending money if they genuinely get joy from e.g buying lots of bags or clothes because people can do what they like with the money they earn 😊 what I don’t understand is, some hauls are so huge and frequent that surely they don’t have the time or opportunity to wear everything!! 😅
I really appreciate your videos on luxury minimalism. I've recently found myself very drawn to this type of philosophy as Ive focused way too much of my life focusing on things or money or getting the newest car, bag, trip etc. and its exhausting!
Love the story about Isaac...that is so lovely. I still like material items, I won't lie but I am prioritizing saving for travel more nowadays. It also really turns me off when items are sold out or hard to get because I just dont want to the chase like a suitor. The older I get, the less I want to spend time on chasing items. If it is not in stock, I just let it go. I work a lot and don't want to spend so much of my free time chasing after things. ❤
I got caught up in the hype while in lockdown and I bought 10 bags. I’ve already sold 5. Now I have more of an idea of what I need and I’m changing career so I have a better idea of what I want. I’m now a luxury minimalist and I’m trying to buy the best quality I can afford and only what I need. I’ve sold I’ve 75 percent of my wardrobe and purged, makeup, hair and skin care and extra things that are really just clutter. I’ve made a list of exactly what I want and I’m only buying that. Next year I’ll definitely be on a low buy/ no buy where I just replace what I need.
I used to buy makeup and skincare excessively… over time, seeing all the unused makeup makes me realised just how ive been wasting my money and unused skincare approaching its expiry date gives me anxiety that i put on myself.
Well said Aileen! … respect to you for not giving in and getting sucked into this unsustainable consumerism. The human soul will always want more, unless you control it, it will control you. It was my 42nd birthday last weekend, usually I would celebrate through the purchase of an expensive item, but instead, I chose to treat my family (hubby, 2teenage boys and a daughter under 10) to a day out in a theme park. It’s was a lot more enjoyable for everyone and we have added more memories to our family. Thank you for being a great role model.
I totally love the new direction of your channel. Change is coming and you are ahead of the curve. I have become very turned off by luxury hauls and the over-saturation of luxury brands. Like everything else in history, it will eventually go out of fashion. Not that luxury will go away, but I believe the market will self correct. I think minimalism will become more prevalent as more and more people experience how freeing it is.
Very consistent mindset Eileen. Still a strong role model for me to constantly come back and listen to you on. Interestingly, there’s a particular UA-camr who claimed she wanted to move on to curation like you (quoting you specially ), yet ended up with more unboxing than ever on the most random and redundant stuff like a fendi plastic basket bag and Hermès plates . It is indeed very tiring to watch hauls after hauls like that . Keep up the good content and reminders !
I wasn't aware I was getting mentioned! I'm usually quite quiet in this space and live in my small bubble 🙈 I'm so glad you found my content helpful xx
This is so beautiful and has been really helpful for me personally. I have been working hard to get away from buying so many things to try to make up for my childhood. I have finally moved into a better mental place about everything and have really come to believe that my money is better spent on experiences and helping my fellow creatures and humans live better. Your videos have helped me resolve to increase my savings and has helped me feel better about not keeping up with a possibly-fictional idea of someone else’s life. What a great gift you are giving to your son! My family taught me that shopping was how to bond, how to grieve, how to celebrate, and how to show love and it’s been so helpful to unlearn that; he will most likely have a much easier time with that than me! Many thanks 😊😊😊
Thank you so much for sharing your story with me! I can really relate to this. Growing up with a humble background, I was too quick to spend my first payslip on the things I couldn't afford as a child. I'm glad all my expensive shopping mistakes finally woke me up. I hope you find your peace too xx
So needed to hear this & I am loving your perspective. Replayed the part over and over about “you will never know what that spending means to that person”. Am currently experiencing the freedom of no longer needing to work extra hours to fund excess luxury. It is beautiful, but so is having the ease of financial freedom! New subbie. Thanks for putting these out there.
My husband is the one benefits the most from your videos, because I won’t buy any luxury items that I don’t need anymore.whenever I feel like making a impulse purchase, I immediately think about what you’ve said
Eileen, I love the way you have explained your thoughts on this matter. There is something to be said for the feeling of being debt free. My small collection of designer bags, jewelry,, etc. is just the right size for me. I love financial freedom more than a new bag!
Congratulations!! Finally you see the light!! I never understand why people give so easy money in a bag…. Take a trip to places that you never been before , the experiencia is priceless.
I like to watch both kinds of videos, luxury minimalism and luxury hauls. I usually to watch hauls to get an idea of the bags or luxury goods that I already am interested in. For example, before buying a bag, I watch several videos discussing the bag, reviews, reveals, and hauls. I also enjoy videos that center around your current content theme, minimalism, this keeps me in a space where I question my wishlist and only buy what I truly love. TBH the more I get into investing, the less I spend on luxury goods. However, I think most of us, luxury lovers, need to go through the process and get to luxury minimalism on our on terms. Congratulations on getting to this point and also on sticking to being a luxury minimalist content creator, I can imagine there is pressure for luxury content creators to do hauls. Keep doing you and what makes you happy.
I agree with you! That is why I love you, your contents. Im glad there are people like you in UA-cam, especially in the midst of luxury hauls every now and then. ❤
Love your channel with your different perspective on luxury spending and shopping. I love watching the hauls and love watching your videos to keep me grounded and balanced! A great reminder for me to keep myself not in debt just for luxury! 💗
I am very much with you on this... I used to like online shopping but I agree that the hassle is real and I don't want to waste my time like that anymore, but also I am at a point where I am content with what I have. Even when I actually need to buy something, shopping has become a chore
I like how you addressed those clueless subscribers who are disappointed becoz you are not posting unboxing hauls etc… very tactfully and meaningfully… 👍 I am still trying to quit compulsive shopping. So I will still be here watching!
I do enjoy watching luxury hauls, but the way I see it is the bloggers/ you tubers are making money on those haul videos, which means this is their job and they profit from it. At the same time, the bloggers can sell their items at a fairly good price when they are tired of it, without loosing much money compare to selling to a consignment store
I look forward to your UA-cam video every week. It helps me to see there is hope for myself in one day becoming a luxury minimalist. I definitely see this for myself when listening to you about what you have accomplished. I know everyone is different and we each have different lifestyles to take into account but I feel eventually I can find my own minimalist niche. Thank you!
I totally agree that reselling luxury items are stressful. I'm downsizing my closet and trying to live a more simple life that I enjoy more. But I don't regret as I think it's a path that I, my younger self, have to pass through (from acquiring every item I want to enjoying the most valuable thing in life). I treat it as one of my lifelong lessons. We love your videos about minimalism and mindful shopping. Just keep it as it is!
It is overwhelming to see constant hauls on some channels. That said, a few lovely ladies honestly are just building and curating their collection. They are open too about being mindful of the money spent, which is amazing coming from younger ladies. Thanks for sharing
I’m obsessed with your videos :) You are so wise beyond your years and I am learning so much from you. I watch your videos because it reminds myself to stop compulsion to shop. All your lessons you learned served as a cautionary tale and I got so much value out of vicariously watching your videos. You taught me to not value material possessions, and that has trickled down to how I respect my time with my family. Anecdotally you are like my future self (with better make-up) coming back to teach me to be smart with my money. I love your videos so so so much. I still watch you every single day for weeks now. Thanks so much Eileen. Please keep producing your genuine and well-thought-off content. I rewatch most of your videos to take in your message slowly. Thanks again!
Eileen...I stumbled upon your channel and it was life changing. I enjoy luxury items but they were wasting away in my closet. Your platform is so needed. It reinforces to me to me to enjoy what I have and be grateful. You're channel helps...please keep it up. Thank you!
I’m so glad I find this channel!! I was starting to spend lots of money in things that i don’t need just because they are on trend, I really love your videos and overall content ☺️
Like you, I’ve also slowed down my luxury spending a lot this past year. Mostly bc I feel completely satisfied with my Luxury bag collection which consists mostly of a curated collection of 8 Hermes and 2 Chanel bags. The journey has been expensive and I’ve let go of a lot of my Chanel purchases but I don’t truly regret it as I feel like it was a learning experience and now I don’t feel the need to chase purchases. I have added a few VCA purchases recently but as I wear them a lot, there is no guilt associated with the spending. Like you, I enjoy my nice (mostly classic) pieces without the urge to add new ones. It’s been truly satisfying not needing to visit my H SA (as nice as she is) just to keep up the spend for that next quota bag!
What good sense you make! It's refreshing to see authentic content like this. I'm also in the same mindset and very choosy about where my money goes. I'm also prioritising my future and growing wealth over quick thrill items. That story with your son just warmed my heart - he will always remember the experience of baking brownies with mum.
💕Great video! It’s so inspiring to hear a story of personal growth, rather than a growth of material items, aka “haul” I’ve gone through a similar journey and I really appreciate your videos to keep me going/inspired. …And I agree 100% about the time lost to online shopping. I used to spend so much time scrolling, ordering, and returning. Then the items i would keep, most of them, I would realize I didn’t really need. I haven’t been able to go fully “no buy” yet, but I’ve definitely gotten more mindful every year. Be well and thank you for the mindful content!
For those who keen to look for unboxing videos , do visit others YT channels. They are plenty more . This video is more on mindful shopping 🛍, balancing between good financial plan and enjoying minimalist luxury and spending good quality time with your loved 🥰 one ! Thank you Eileen for your channel ! I wish more of your videos on financial planning 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Love your perspective on luxury shopping as always. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences, it’s exactly what I needed to hear 😊 let’s be content and grateful indeed 💕
Your videos have truly helped me. I used to think I was less than because I couldn't afford to buy Chanel, LV and so on every month or whenever I wanted to. I am so glad I wasn't able to buy handbags at the drop of a dime because I would have wasted my money. Now I too only purchase luxury if I truly love it. I can't begin to thank you enough for your videos!
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your video and I am glad that someone is sharing another viewpoint on excess luxury shopping (well, it doesn’t have to be luxury). I appreciate some of the beautiful things that high end designers create, and I still like the review and haul videos but seeing someone buying a luxury handbag weekly (or something similar) does make me question how much they really can enjoy the new purchase as it cannot be anything special (might just be me). I suppose I just relate to your approach more. Definitely refreshing.
Thanks for this Eileen. He may never change. My son is 16 and he is not a shopper, dont like designer labels. I was never a luxury shopper. I prefer to spend my money buying stocks, investing and taking holidays. I dont watch those shopping videos, I truly feel sorry for those people. They are 21st century 'higglers'. Have a safe week Eileen and thanks for sharing.
so i love watching luxury videos for hauls and vlogs but i also enjoy your talk about minimalism and how to be financially responsible. it helps me balance our my attitude and wallet haha
Everytime I watch in awe of how many new bags the influencers can unbox, I will come back to your videos afterwards because I know I don't need to and I shouldn't spend my hard earned money on so many bags when there's so much more to life..
Hi Eileen, thanks for sharing. Im with you on luxury minimalism. I enjoy fine dining and luxury shopping but in a special way => Not every weekend 😝 i have a few luxury pieces and I’m still mindful what to buy next 🥰 I enjoy watching bloggers share their happiness in unboxing what they bought. I’m truly happy for them and thankfully I’m never envious 😍 Yes, my husband and I invest in real estate property and we let it work for us. It’s good for future retirement plan. Im blessed to be debt-free 🙌🏻❣️I’m blessed to find your video that confirms what I’m doing is okay 😉 Love always, Jessica 😘
100% agree with you. i have limited my luxury purchase to only birthday and anniversary now and really think through what i truly love, otherwise these items are just merchandise
Thoughtful and insightful as always! 💕 I think once people get into a cycle of buying material goods, it is difficult to get out of. There is then a temporary sense of satisfaction with each purchase - just like any other addiction! I think the ultimate sense and level of joy is the same, whatever your habit is, but the intensity and duration of that joy changes xx
The Palm Springs Mini 😍 I am graduating with my masters next month and I want to reward myself with this bag. After this bag (if I can ever get my hands on it) I have promised myself that I am done with buying bags.
I agree with you on online/mindless shopping! I have been particularly tempted to shop online from stores not located in my area. The difficulty with returning usually results with me keeping items I would not be tempted by in-store.
I believe balance is the key word. Living comfortably with occasional indulgence is ok while at the same time having good regular savings for the future. I saw ppl just think of saving of the future that they forget living in the now and at they end up with so many regrets. At the same I see indulgence should be in things that really make your heart sing and really enjoy them.it doesn't have to be things, it can be trips or nice meals, whatever feels good to you. Thank you for your videos 🌹
I find your channel and content very refreshing! While I still enjoy a good haul video, I believe they are overrated. Not everyone can afford to buy a brand new item as frequently, not everyone is gifted a luxury item frequently nor afford to give as a gift. I've owned LV wallets and handbags that are 30+ years old and still look newer. As another person commented this pandemic has changed the focus of our attention to what's really important. I enjoy hearing the "other" side of luxury shopping, spending and having a curated collection that you love and use. I would be interested in how your handbags are wearing over time, I think that might be helpful to someone who's considering a purchase.
That's amazing Isaac prefers to bake brownies as a reward than buying a toy. I son (turning 5 soon) used to be like that, but with everyone around us spoiling him with gifts, he now wants to buy things that he likes whenever (not often) we go to the store.
Well done Eileen! I had also started to offload my bags and clothes to reclaim my space. I feel the pinch when I lose thousands on each sale of bag. Wish I had known this earlier.
I'm glad to hear you've let go of pieces that didn't serve you. The loss is painful for sure, but keeping too many things we don't use can feel suffocating xx
I totally resonate with your message. I went through the same experience and now I no longer follow the latest in luxury. I wish I get to my current state earlier and saved money
Very good eileen. We live and learn, unboxing videos is no longer fun for me to watch. Approach shopping with a minimalist attitude has also helped me think thru my shopping behavior. Now, I look for awesome workout videos on UA-cam to get in better shape. The reward is so much more amazing than more handbags!!
Thank you for sharing! During this pandemic, shopping for luxury bags became my comfort. In the end, I dipped into my savings and it made me more miserable. While looking and using my new bags spark joy, I will think twice about buying impulsively or because of FOMO ❤️
Eileen, you are Inspiring. Although you may have taken a longer route in finding the most perfect pieces to complete your collection; You Have arrived. THIS MUST be very peaceful now for you. I so wish it was me. Maybe, I'm just too passive I suppose, BUT I'm not desperate. That, *What will be, Will Be* part tho. Thank You so much! 💕🌼
Thank you for your content! I am hoping I can have the same mindset soon! Your videos continue to encourage me to spend less and more time with self care and family. I know my shopping has been excessive since the pandemic. I also know I shop when I’m bored 😐. One day at a time.
The gaining of material goods is enjoyable, a reward for the work you do. But the Greatest Happiness is Family, Marriage and the giving of ourselves in these highest of human experiences. Except ice cream🍧 You can never have enough ice cream...lol🙊
I’m obsessed with ice cream too 😊🍨🤗 Absolutely agree with you, happiness comes from within and enjoying the non material things in life more than the material ones!
I have spent so much money in luxury items that when I look back and think about it makes me sick. I sold most of my bags, clothes, shoes etc. I feel much better now.
I really like your videos- shopping minimalist - mindful spending and buying only items which I will use a lot. Cost per wear is really important to me. Thank you for sharing your point of view 😘
Eileen thank you for the encouragement I am trying not to buy things just for the sake of buying. It is hard but I think that watching haul videos does not help so I really appreciate your advice.
I am sooooo glad I found your channel! I recent subbie, and I start to watch your videos from the beginning. And here my results: I sold things that I didn't use, thet just took space. I get some money;) I sold costume jewerly and purchased fine jewerly ♡ I sold a few wallets and slgs and current my bag collection. I started investing. I stopped just hunting bags. There are so pluses because of you! Also I changed my style♡ thank you a lot!
I love your insights thanks for sharing your thoughts 🥰 I really ask my self if those bloggers can really afford such haul weekly. Like fast fashion but these items are for sure very expensive. So ja, I decided to stop ✋ to my craziness because at the end of the day, I can’t wear all of them at the same time. And rather save for the future 😍
Dear Eilieen, such wise words again, and I needed them today, so thank you! Ik hope your cousins rental properties will do great. It would be so well deserved and he is indeed an insparation.
Eileen, I understand your Chanel is changing and that a good thing. I just want you to share something other than what you sold and what you no longer buy. Please share what you are doing with your wardrobe or existing closet. How are you using the items you bought. Where do you see fashion going in the future, how to take your limited wardrobe and turn it into many wearable fashion looks.
Thank you for your suggestions! Noted! I always pre-film my videos (6 weeks in advance) so it might be a while before you see any noticeable changes in the video tone xx
I do talk to Isaac about money in some simple ways. For example, when he's given birthday money by grandparents, I'll suggest for him to keep some of the money instead of spending it all on toys. I will explain it's similar to mummy and daddy making money, we always keep some of it. More importantly, don't buy a toy just because you want to buy something 😇
I absolutely agree with you. These are your thought and that is ok. People don't need to agree. you learned valuable lessons. how many things do you need in life?
Thank you so much, i enjoy watching this video, so inspiring, its true you don”t need to buy expensive things just to be happy (its instant happiness that last only for a few hours 😄), so its not really considered happiness.
Lovely video. The large hauls don't make sense when they don't talk about ever selling the items because you left wondering what the heck they are doing with it all and where it all sits. I admit I want a little luxury in my life due to my age and stage in life but I think those haul videos do hype things up and make it feel like something you have to have. I love this video thank you for your words. So true. I also don't like to walk around advertising for a company's he only monogram I like is the LV because it reminds me of damask. I've never been a fan of adverting a company.. they should have to pay me. One of my biggest issue with luxury bags is I want something very nice, but I don't want to get attention for it or advertise I am wearing an expensive bag "hey come rob me" etc.
Your points are great !!!!! Really thank you! To say the truth i have 6 luxury handbag, not hermes....i whish, but i dont have enough opportunity to wear them!!!
My only question to luxury hauls is “what does she do for a living?”😁 Luxury minimalism is the way to go no matter how much money I have. Excess gives me anxiety.

Thank you so much, Jasmine xx
Just found your videos a few days ago. It’s like a breath of fresh air, luxury can be all consuming.
Welcome to my YT family xx
Eileen, I love the way you have explained your thoughts on this matter. There is something to be said for the feeling of being debt free. My small collection of designer bags, jewelry,, etc. is just the right size for me. I love financial freedom more than a new bag!
Love that! xx
Congratulations!! Finally you see the light!! I never understand why people give so easy money in a bag…. Take a trip to places that you never been before , the experiencia is priceless.
Experiences are definitely worth paying for xx
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'll stay true to myself. It's easier when I have such awesome audience like you guys xx
I agree with you! That is why I love you, your contents. Im glad there are people like you in UA-cam, especially in the midst of luxury hauls every now and then. ❤
I appreciate that! Thank you so much xx
Love your channel with your different perspective on luxury spending and shopping. I love watching the hauls and love watching your videos to keep me grounded and balanced! A great reminder for me to keep myself not in debt just for luxury! 💗
Thank you so much!! xx
I am very much with you on this... I used to like online shopping but I agree that the hassle is real and I don't want to waste my time like that anymore, but also I am at a point where I am content with what I have. Even when I actually need to buy something, shopping has become a chore
100% agree with you! xx
I like how you addressed those clueless subscribers who are disappointed becoz you are not posting unboxing hauls etc… very tactfully and meaningfully… 👍 I am still trying to quit compulsive shopping. So I will still be here watching!
I really cherish the nature of this platform. It's a place where I can share my thoughts, so I definitely want to stay true to myself xx
A lot of them are being sponsored and don’t disclose or disclose in sneaky ways it happens a lot with senreve and farfech
Thank you!
your channel is like a calming breath of fresh air and I hope your videos get recommended to more people
That really means a lot, thank you Jonna xx
Well, maybe for the people asking for hauls, a video about your collection or how you organize your wardrobe would be a nice change ?
Noted!xx
I totally agree that reselling luxury items are stressful. I'm downsizing my closet and trying to live a more simple life that I enjoy more. But I don't regret as I think it's a path that I, my younger self, have to pass through (from acquiring every item I want to enjoying the most valuable thing in life). I treat it as one of my lifelong lessons.
We love your videos about minimalism and mindful shopping. Just keep it as it is!
That means so much, thank you Belle xx
It is overwhelming to see constant hauls on some channels. That said, a few lovely ladies honestly are just building and curating their collection. They are open too about being mindful of the money spent, which is amazing coming from younger ladies. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for always showing up, Nicole xx
That means so much to me, thank you!! xx
Eileen...I stumbled upon your channel and it was life changing. I enjoy luxury items but they were wasting away in my closet. Your platform is so needed. It reinforces to me to me to enjoy what I have and be grateful. You're channel helps...please keep it up. Thank you!
It really made my day to hear that, thank you! xx
That's so good to hear, Edwina! It's really a liberating feeling when we take back control of our spending xx
What good sense you make! It's refreshing to see authentic content like this. I'm also in the same mindset and very choosy about where my money goes. I'm also prioritising my future and growing wealth over quick thrill items. That story with your son just warmed my heart - he will always remember the experience of baking brownies with mum.
I appreciate that! The brownie was delicious too xx
Thank you, Eileen. Love your channel
Thank you so much! xx
Love your luxury minimalist wisdom! And Isaac already sounds like a wonderful young man with a great head on his shoulders, congratulations! 💕
Aww thank you! He's definitely a good boy, a bit moody at first but always kind and sweet xx
💕Great video! It’s so inspiring to hear a story of personal growth, rather than a growth of material items, aka “haul”
I’ve gone through a similar journey and I really appreciate your videos to keep me going/inspired.
I'm so glad to hear my content to helped you a bit! being mindful is a big step in itself, so well done! xx
That's so sweet that your son wanted to celebrate by baking brownies! Can't imagine a cuter way to celebrate a job well done
Aww thank you! Brownie was delicious too xx
Thank you so much for your support! xx
I absolutely love your luxury minimalism content! I know your opinions are authentic and I really appreciate your point of view 🥰.
Thank you so much, Lauren xx
Wonderful Eileen! I love watching your channel and wise advice!
Thank you so much! xx
Love your perspective on luxury shopping as always. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences, it’s exactly what I needed to hear 😊 let’s be content and grateful indeed 💕
Thank you! xx
I get what you mean! I used to feel that way too, I'm so glad I no longer let FOMO control my spending xx
@@ColourfulNoir Amen!
Love to watch ur channel. It’s like a very calming meditation for me. Love love love
I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you xx
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos! Thank you xx
Thanks for sharing. I love how your videos help center our thinking!
Thank you! xx
You are right. For some people, buying a 10k bag is like buying peanuts. For others, it could take 3 years ( or more) of savings.
Money is indeed a very relative thing xx
Thanks for this Eileen. He may never change. My son is 16 and he is not a shopper, dont like designer labels. I was never a luxury shopper. I prefer to spend my money buying stocks, investing and taking holidays. I dont watch those shopping videos, I truly feel sorry for those people. They are 21st century 'higglers'. Have a safe week Eileen and thanks for sharing.
I sure hope Isaac will into a young adult who doesn't rely on things for happiness xx
so i love watching luxury videos for hauls and vlogs but i also enjoy your talk about minimalism and how to be financially responsible. it helps me balance our my attitude and wallet haha
Thank you! I'm glad I help your wallet a bit lol xx
Everytime I watch in awe of how many new bags the influencers can unbox, I will come back to your videos afterwards because I know I don't need to and I shouldn't spend my hard earned money on so many bags when there's so much more to life..
I'm so glad to hear my content helps to keep you grounded xx
Thank you so much for sharing, Jessica! Being debt free is the luxury we should all aspire to instead xx
100% agree with you. i have limited my luxury purchase to only birthday and anniversary now and really think through what i truly love, otherwise these items are just merchandise
100% agree! xx
I can listen to you for the whole day! You’re the best❤️❤️
You're too sweet, thank you! xx
Thank you for sharing xx
I think you feel this way, because you truly got to know yourself! xx
I've learned so much from this channel. Thanks Eileen.
I'm so glad! Thank you xx
The Palm Springs Mini 😍 I am graduating with my masters next month and I want to reward myself with this bag. After this bag (if I can ever get my hands on it) I have promised myself that I am done with buying bags.
Good choice! it's a wonderful little bag xx
I agree with you on online/mindless shopping! I have been particularly tempted to shop online from stores not located in my area. The difficulty with returning usually results with me keeping items I would not be tempted by in-store.
These messages are actually really refreshing! Helps keeps us real and toned down =)
Thank you, Anna xx
Very well said !! Completely agree with everything you just said.
Thank you xx
I believe balance is the key word. Living comfortably with occasional indulgence is ok while at the same time having good regular savings for the future. I saw ppl just think of saving of the future that they forget living in the now and at they end up with so many regrets. At the same I see indulgence should be in things that really make your heart sing and really enjoy them.it doesn't have to be things, it can be trips or nice meals, whatever feels good to you.
Thank you for your videos 🌹
100% agree with you! I now value experiences so much more xx
That sounds like a fantastic topic, thank you so much for the suggestion, Denice xx
That's amazing Isaac prefers to bake brownies as a reward than buying a toy. I son (turning 5 soon) used to be like that, but with everyone around us spoiling him with gifts, he now wants to buy things that he likes whenever (not often) we go to the store.
Such a great video. So much wisdom 🤍🙏🌟
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you! xx
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing xx
I love your new focus!! Stay the course!!
I will definitely stay true to myself. You guys made it easier, thank you for always cheering me on xx
This is true wisdom + the reality of life. Some people shop and buy so much for the imagined life instead of their real life!
Thank you for sharing xx
Very good eileen. We live and learn, unboxing videos is no longer fun for me to watch. Approach shopping with a minimalist attitude has also helped me think thru my shopping behavior. Now, I look for awesome workout videos on UA-cam to get in better shape. The reward is so much more amazing than more handbags!!
That's amazing! There are so fabulous work out videos on UA-cam for sure. I did a lot of PE with Joe during lockdown lol xx
No complaints here. Enjoying your content immensely!
Thank you so much xx
So much to learn from your Video. Such a nourishing message.
Glad it was helpful! xx
Thank you for sharing! During this pandemic, shopping for luxury bags became my comfort. In the end, I dipped into my savings and it made me more miserable. While looking and using my new bags spark joy, I will think twice about buying impulsively or because of FOMO ❤️
I too made some expensive mistakes but the good thing is, they've made me a more mindful spender now. I hope this works the same for you xx
Thank you! I hope you find your purse peace soon xx
Enjoy your content a lot and I think you are on the right mindset :)
Thank you so much, Jade xx
Thank you for your content! I am hoping I can have the same mindset soon! Your videos continue to encourage me to spend less and more time with self care and family. I know my shopping has been excessive since the pandemic. I also know I shop when I’m bored 😐. One day at a time.
I'm sure you can do it! Sending you lots of positive energy xx
@@ColourfulNoir Thank you!
@@claudiakalkbrenner4148 👨🏼🙏🏻
We agree! Double chocolate for me xx
@@ColourfulNoir Oh yes..with no apology🍧🍧lol
I have spent so much money in luxury items that when I look back and think about it makes me sick. I sold most of my bags, clothes, shoes etc. I feel much better now.
Decluttering excess is such a deliberating feeling, I agree xx
I really like your videos- shopping minimalist - mindful spending and buying only items which I will use a lot. Cost per wear is really important to me. Thank you for sharing your point of view 😘
Cost per wear is key! xx
Eileen thank you for the encouragement I am trying not to buy things just for the sake of buying. It is hard but I think that watching haul videos does not help so I really appreciate your advice.
Love having you here, Ana xx
It’s so important to get this message across. Thank you
Glad you liked it, thank you xx
I am sooooo glad I found your channel! I recent subbie, and I start to watch your videos from the beginning. And here my results: I sold things that I didn't use, thet just took space. I get some money;) I sold costume jewerly and purchased fine jewerly ♡ I sold a few wallets and slgs and current my bag collection. I started investing. I stopped just hunting bags. There are so pluses because of you! Also I changed my style♡ thank you a lot!
That's such a wonderful list! I'm so glad my content has made some positive changes in you life! More importantly, I'm really proud of you xx
@@ColourfulNoir thank you a lot again ♡
Great perspective. Well-balanced. ✨✨✨
Thank you! xx
Absolutely!! Saving for the future should always be the top priority xx
I always congratulate myself every time I leave the mall empty handed.
That's a good one! xx
Love this video! 🥰
Dear Eilieen, such wise words again, and I needed them today, so thank you! Ik hope your cousins rental properties will do great. It would be so well deserved and he is indeed an insparation.
I wish him all the best too! He's so focused and driven xx
Great points as always Eileen 🥰
Thank you so much, Vivienne xx
2nd to view.. love your YT contents ♥️
Glad you like them! Thank you xxxx
Eileen,
I understand your Chanel is changing and that a good thing.
Could you please talk more about how you made your son have that mindset? 😊
Thank you! xx
Thank you so much, i enjoy watching this video, so inspiring, its true you don”t need to buy expensive things just to be happy (its instant happiness that last only for a few hours 😄), so its not really considered happiness.
Absolutely!! xx
I love your channel. And I agree with everything you said.
Thank you, Irena xx
Thanks for sharing!! xx
Thank you I love the way. Your channel is going COVID has changed . Also my spending habits. Xoxo from NYC Marlene
Hi Marlene! I love NYC xx
