Hey Bobby, you don't need to worry about the Northwind this winter blowing your feed around because the pigeons are not going to be landing there anyway if it's in the wind! Actually come winter most things change where their roosting, the type of feed they want and need and you really need to put some water in that trap! You do know that will also entice them into the trap? Anyway the birds are always going to be roosting and sitting out of the wind in the wintertime.
Hey guys I’m looking for some new choke tubes for duck hunting this year (currently just using ones that came with gun) Please recommend! Only recommend products from your personal experience with them! I shoot a Stoger M3000. Let me know what you use and your thoughts. Thanks!
perhaps some black indoor/outdoor carpet would hold the food pretty good. possibly zip tie the 4 corners and be done. its tight woven but would let rain through.
I always used bird seed as bait and had a bowl of water in the middle. I would leave 1 bird in the trap it makes the other birds more comfortable being around the trap
Use a terracotta plant saucer, and for better results have a few extra ones and put them around the roof and put smaller amount of feed in them. They'll get used to eating from the saucers and then they'll happily go in the trap.
Drill a hole in each corner of plexiglass and use clear or white zip ties to attach it to either the inside or outside of the trap to keep the wind from blowing the feed out?
Get a can of the spray adhesive, spray the area spread the food place the trap over it and I'm sure that food won't move. When you move the trap the pigeons will attach the food and it will be all gone.
If the wind gets too bad you may move the ladder and put it in the corner that way the food stays in the edge of the trap you would only have one door but you may be able to open another one up on a third side so both that are not against the wall have a door
Get urself a couple trail cameras that you can conect ur phone to and put them on the traps so you can see them live.. Watch the bait and you can see if you catch something. Could even put the spring trap up there and know exactly when you got one..
Pretty cool breed. I've had them before. Helps a lot to have foster parents for feeding because of the short beaks. Just swap eggs halfway through with a longer beak breed. The owls can feed the longer beak babies just fine.
Great video bob. If you use a tire tube from a racing bike under the cage it will create a lip and hold in the food also not very visible to the birds.
Many years ago I found a strange looking pigeon in an old abandoned toilet in Sydney. I’m guessing council workers found it & locked it in there with some water & a bit of food. For 3 days I saw this weird looking bird, so I took my partner there, he climbed in & rescued the bird. I found out it was a German Shield Owl pigeon. We use to rescue pigeons & other injured birds but this bird turned aggressive, it would peck & flick its wing, maybe cos the person who originally had it, clipped its wings too high, so we named him Belsen. When it started to fly again, it became too much for us to handle so we gave him a good home. A bloke who had experience with these birds. He was a beautiful but very cranky bird. I was sure he would attack us while we slept, he really had a temper. He use to sexually assault my partners socks too, so he needed a good home.
My parents have a pigeon that arrived at their house. Been there a week. Beautiful. White fluffy and brown. Googles says a domestic owl fancy pigeon. What can we do with it? Do you think it was a house pet?
You should put a trail cam on the trap to try and gauge their behavior and see what we can learn about when they come and when they are getting trapped
Just build a little wooden square a bit bigger than the cage and put the cage inside itll block the wind and if it doesn't itll atleast catch the grain
Trapping pigeons like this I use whole corn, and crack corn.. a bull of water.. I leave at least one or two pigeons (decoy ) in the trap at all times.. I do Not check the trap every day..every 2or 3 days...Some traps "once a week" these traps have external feeders on them...Always water...
Hello, this bird has landed in my mother in laws backyard. Is it a special bird? I think it's verry intelligent. Not shy att all. It just look like this one
Bobby can I get your opinion on a shotgun you probably have never shot lol should I trade in my Benelli super Vinci for a Benelli super black eagle 3 I know you use a Franchi but I want your opinion if you will I really love all your videos man you’re definitely one of my favorite UA-cam channel
Aww! German Owl Pigeons are my favorite type of pigeon. When I get a pigeon I’m planning on getting a German owl one. They are so cute-
Same
It would be so sick if you could get a long live stream of the cage so we can watch them walk in live
The thumbnail pic is the prettiest pidge I ever saw.
Please candle the eggs with your phone flash light in a dark room!!!!!
Maybe get yourself a cardboard sticky mouse trap and spring the seed on the board so it's stuck on
joseph billings that’s genius
@@clamathkowboyz9608 thanks

Tittle should be "Beautiful German Owl Pigeon"
This is how many pigeons Bob will catch off the roof top
👇🏼
C. Curio hey three is correct so far

Nice! As much variety pigeons I have, I got to say the old German owls are my favourite.
You should try a square box trap for rabbits I live in the city of Fairbanks and they go right in the trap
Try getting one of those plastic trays for underneath a washing machine, then set the feed and trap on top. Or something along those lines maybe.
I always used bird seed as bait and had a bowl of water in the middle. I would leave 1 bird in the trap it makes the other birds more comfortable being around the trap
I now this is going to be fire
THANKS FAM
For the wind problem u should put one of the bricks near ur trap in the trap and sprinkle food in the holes of the brick
Use a terracotta plant saucer, and for better results have a few extra ones and put them around the roof and put smaller amount of feed in them. They'll get used to eating from the saucers and then they'll happily go in the trap.

Hey Bobby love the vids keep making them I watch them daily
They love sunflower seeds
Use the bottom off an old milk crate. It will hold the grain in the wind but not be too deep so they can't see the feed
Bend a sheet metal pan a little larger than your trap to keep the food from blowing away
GREAT IDEA!!!
Make it black to blend in with the roof
I love your vids Bobby
I APPRECIATE THAT THANK YOU
BobbyGuyFilms omg you replied
love your vids bob it makes my day seeing ur vids
hey would you be able to get me a pair of german owls for purchase?
If the wind gets too bad you may move the ladder and put it in the corner that way the food stays in the edge of the trap you would only have one door but you may be able to open another one up on a third side so both that are not against the wall have a door
You and the dux crew need to come up to Minnesota for the game fair
Hey Bobby you should fly a drone up to check your traps and see if anything is in them. Beats going up and down stairs
Damn that's a good idea! Why didn't I think of that?
They like it a lot
You should setup a camera to video the pigeons going in the trap and interacting with the area.
You will be able to tell what time of day too. 😁
Get urself a couple trail cameras that you can conect ur phone to and put them on the traps so you can see them live.. Watch the bait and you can see if you catch something. Could even put the spring trap up there and know exactly when you got one..
Wire 3" clear plastic sides on outside of trap . That would cut the wind , but not obstruct the birds on the outside from seeing into the trap.
Pretty cool breed. I've had them before. Helps a lot to have foster parents for feeding because of the short beaks. Just swap eggs halfway through with a longer beak breed. The owls can feed the longer beak babies just fine.
Fantastic! Thanks for the tip!
I have a pair of English trumpeters. They are beautiful piegons
Could you use a loose version of suet?
Maybe you could put a sheet of very fine mesh over the feed and then the trap on top? Or something like that idk
Nice video keep it up
WILL DO THANK YOU
Great video bob. If you use a tire tube from a racing bike under the cage it will create a lip and hold in the food also not very visible to the birds.
I would suggest either barricade the north side of the trap or move the trap to the south side of the roof
Use see through tape underneath the trap and put the grain on top of the tape
Hi bobby I love your vids a idea for the food to stick is to put tape on the bottom of the trap and put the food on the sticky part of the tape
Stick feed to black plastic or tar paper and place underneath trap?
Put the gopro on the trap like you do at the truck stop
Packing tape around the bottom of the cage touching the roof should stop feed from blowing away
You should use a shallow baking try filled whith bait

What a nice owl love your vids
ring or frisbee to hold the food
FRISBEE FOR THE WIN GREAT IDEA
Might be able to make a small wall out of some cinder blocks man
Peanut butter to hold the feed??..could work I guess..?
Hey bob, did you buy or make your pigeon traps? couldn't find a video on your channel talking about that.
Quick handed Larry 😂😂😂
Sup Bobby loving the videos keep it up my dude
Nice vid Bobby counting down the days until duck season here in east Texas🤙
DUDE ME TOO
So, maybe I've missed it. But what is the end game with the Pigeons? Do you end up selling them, try to get some racers?
You know we got alot of the old german owl in egypt we own the red. Blue. Black. White. Mandren we have them all♥️
YESTERDAY MY DAY BROUGHT ME A PIGEON OWL AND ITS SO QTTTTTT
That is the stupidest thing i have ever heard that made no sense
do u know where can i buy the old german owl pigeons im from texas i have been trying to find them and i haven’t 😢
I have nooo idea craigslist has some
idk if you found any but i found some on the website Strombergschickens
If they like sweets, try syrup
Put a plywood bottom on the trap with edges to keep the food in
Use breed as well for the traps
What if you put a bowl of food next to the trap, then once they get comfy with the bowl move it in the cage and see if they do it.
Wow
You could try one of those bird food blocks. Then it wouldn't be a bunch of loose feed blowing around.
Rocks or a small concrete barrier to keep the grain in place
Dude what if you poured hunny on bait? It will stick in the trap longer.
Keep on keeping on
Plus I think it needs shade. It's the hot in the afternoon. What if you made a pond under the cage to make them go in the cage?
Keep on keeping on
You can take some thin wire mash and make a little basket
Good idea

Bob are you ever thinking that ya might race your pigeons
NOT THESE ONES BUT I WANT TO EVENTUALLY HAVE RACERS
@@BobbyGuyFilms very extensive time commitment to race. Would suggest you look at one loft, futurity or derby type races to start out.
You should put a trail cam on the trap to try and gauge their behavior and see what we can learn about when they come and when they are getting trapped
Bobby. Are you going to try setting up a trail cam to see what the birds are doing around the trap?
Get a trail camera Bobby if you wanna know what there doing that would be perfect
Those steps are gonna get u fit for waterfowl season. Setting decoys and picking them up.
Or put a ply wood wind block bind the trap maybe?
You can try to use a cookie baking tray
I been liking these videos can’t tell me you can’t buy more traps yet. More traps I’ll give more likes!
Just build a little wooden square a bit bigger than the cage and put the cage inside itll block the wind and if it doesn't itll atleast catch the grain
Bobby! Great idea! Get some faux grass Matt so the birds can pick through it and it doesn’t fly out and around!
Try moving the trap to where all these birds are sitting on the opposite side you'll catch more pigeons
You should put timber around the outside of the cage
Great vid bobby
what kind of pigeon decoys do you have
Use a cleer platic frame rownd the sides
Hello, this bird has landed in my mother in laws backyard. Is it a special bird? I think it's verry intelligent. Not shy att all. It just look like this one
Hey Bobby how’s it going
GOING GREAT!
Put a little rubber or wood lip around the bottom of the trap
Wind block a few feet back from trap would be my suggestion
A trail camera might offer some additional content footage as well as insight into what they're doing around the trap and when. Good stuff as always!
Where did u get the beneli super black eagle 3?
Um what
@@lindonpierce6076 where did you buy it?
I have a super Vinci and I was wondering whether or not I should trad it and buy a black Eagle 3
@@lindonpierce6076 ohhhhh I think get the black eagle
Bobby put a trail cam up with the time and point it at the cage and you will know with no problem!!!
Build a 2x4 frame with no bottom paint it black it black and attach to trap.
Make a suet type food it’s put together with like beeswax or peanut butter or crisco
Cool looking bird Bobby!
JORDAN HAS SOME AWESOME BIRDS NOW! bit.ly/2ZVNg0z
you're right try corn and other seeds
U should get some German owl pigeons for your loft
I breed these
Try putting a decoy inside the trap
Put something in the way to block the wind from the trap
