- So we are driving to the beach and about to pass this truck in the middle of the road offloading cars when I noticed the 918!!! I made my sister pull over so I could check it out lol #ExtremeRandomCarSpotting I did not talk to the owner but he seemed happy... As would I :)

ciriusn Not so much rivalry tho... the 911's are quiet average in terms of looking , the SUVs not looking too good , Panamera , in my opinion , absolutely ugly , the only Porsche looking fairly good apart from this is the new Cayman.

this was directly from dealer so he prob bought it for 850k.. best investment ever considering that they go for 1.8M-2M second hand.
@RealBlessed These are very good investments. They sold new for 850k if you got on the list as they were limited number sold. They are selling used 4 years later in the 1.6-2.0 million range

Love it! At 1.20 a red air cooled 911 Targa with whale tail and 964 wheels slows to appreciate the car. Beautiful cars. Both of them.

Just offloaded one onto my driveway a few days ago for the Concours d' Elegance on Amelia Island. A real beauty, e-hybrid model.
I seen 2 in my life. 1 @ the NY Auto show & one of the highway. Both grey but the best colors for the 918 are white & black
the 918 looks so good in white! black I don't know... but who am I to say what color looks good on this car ^^
Just buy one and u can customize it to ur favorite color.

oh the joys of living in Boca Raton FL, I remember just hanging outside of my apartment when 3 Ferraris just drove on by like your normal toyota lolol. Driving my Mercedes there was like driving an old honda.

I drive a 2015 audi r8 v10 DCT and it's crazy to think that this car costs 6 times what my car is worth! Porsche really outdid themselves on this ride though! Congrats!

It seems strange these carriers haven't figured out a way to collapse the platform once the exotic is level on it, so the platform only sits two inches above the pavement once it's lowered within the housing. Then, you can just back the vehicle off of it.

I love Porsche and this one is my Favorite.
You'd think if that company was charged with delivering these kinds of vehicles, they'd modify the tailgate to load and unload without the hassle of adding wood..
That truck is probably used for thousands of cars a year. For the dozen that require wood, it would be simpler to use wood rather than use a custom designed tailgate to tailor to only a handful of cars.
So cart around bits of wood and look unprofessional, risking damage to new cars, or just tweak the tailgate which every car still can use..?
You clearly don't understand the industry. Professionals always keep many of those wood pieces in different sizes for such applications. It causes no damage to cars and has been used successfully for decades for just about any standard production vehicle.
Nice video. Cat is only 1 million dollars after the options. Base model, if you can call it that, starts at $950,000. Jay Leno car garage UA-cam channel has a test drive video. Car is hybrid. Electric until certain speed then the engine kicks in and gets loud.
Perhaps the most menacingly beautiful black car of all time. Completely trounces the Geneva 918 intro in 2011, this one should have been turning on the pedestal instead of that car with the naff Gulf Oil livery. I will have any 918 colour as long as its black!

dn't panic he didn't scrape the bottom of the car anywhere,it's a 2 step process on cars that are low, step one they got it right, step 2 is when they stopped they just need to adjust the spot of the wood setting it behind the fronts like in step one
