The best part ist. The Song was written and Video shooted within 48h. One day they wrote and Mixed the Song and the other day they shot the video

Yeah it's so impressive
The title referrs to EC's hometown Castrop-Rauxel (commonly abbreviated to just Castrop) and Kalle's residence Spandau, which is a borough of Berlin. The majority of the lyrics are catchphrases from and hints to previous EC songs and content from Kalle's channel.
After appearing in the videos for Hypa Hypa and MC Thunder II (as a former dance teacher he did the choreogrphy for the dance scenes at the end of both videos) he dared EC if they could do a song for/ with him within 24 hours. So they invited him to their studio, wrote, recorded, produced and mixed Castrop X Spandau in one day and filmed the video the next day. It turned out to be such a banger that EC put it on their live show setlist.
In 2023, they invited Kalle to join them for a week during the TEKKNO tour. He since released some solo material, with the help of EC's guitarist Daniel Haniß, who does the majority of their programming and production.
My jaw is on the floor. I’m shocked, yet someone this is exactly what should have happened for this song. Simply amazing and makes me appreciate this song even more on my 100th listen since this video
Nico also has a song with Kalle called "Meine Buffalos" which is also catchy
It's also all in German but references a lot of things from the 90s

Also about Kalle: he is a German UA-camr, I've known him for his gaming content before I knew Electric Callboy hahaha
And his catchphrase is "Ehre Alla" which is kinda hard to translate but Ehre = Honor
Alla is slang for something like "dude"
So the chorus here in Castrop x Spandau is "Ehre alla, ehre alla Castrop Spandau, Ehre alle ehre alle in den Arsch"
The last part basically means "Honor into the ass" 🤣
And Castrop is Electric Callboy's hometown and Spandau is the part of Berlin where Kalle and other UA-camrs (like HandofBlood the star of "MC Thunder 1 & 2) are from

There are also diffrent versions from Hypa Hypa from other musicians with Electric Callboy. A very good one is from Saltatio Mortis

There is also a overlooked gem of a song called "Welcome to Raveland" by EC. They were tasked to collect sounds and noises in an old iron hut in Germany and construct a song within 24 hours out of it. A little short but an absolute banger! The format is called "soundsof" - a German UA-cam Chanel.

Not gonna lie, getting into Electric Callboy sent me down an entire German music rabbit hole from which I may never recover (and I have no complaints. So many great bands and songs!).
No complaints here either! It’s my favorite part of doing these vids and getting more music recommendations from everyone!! The more rabbit holes the better!

Castrop Rauxel is the home of EC, Kalle lives in Spandau (a district of Berlin).
Kalle is a very cool sock and has already appeared in several videos, including the lead role in Arrow of Love.
There is a story that this song was the result of a bet between Kalle and EC, and that EC only had one day to write and compose the lyrics.
I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised either 😂
They vloged the process of creating the song. I guess they could be cheating but 1 day is correct according to the video if i remember that right.

First and foremost, hey Stan! Hope you're well. Now, onto some silly trivia.
The lyrics of the song include the line "Kalle-Kalle Eskimo", a reference to the colab of Kalle and, at the time, Eskimo Callboy. So, now that they changed the name of the band, when they perform the song live, the line is now "Kalle-Kalle Electro" (not Electric, since they still needed the line to rhyme with the next).
