Live at Novosadska Sinagoga of 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗱, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗮. BGKO interprets traditional music of the Balkans, Gipsies, and Jewish of Eastern Europe with an original approach and great passion while constantly exploring their roots.

𝗔𝘃𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 (2018) is the continuation of a journey that started two years ago with 𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝗯𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗼. Plenty of concerts, places, people, musicians, and moments that still move us, gave birth to the songs on this album. Nearly all are traditional songs, interpreted throughout time, passed down through generations while never losing their power to evoke the deepest feelings of the human being. Today these songs rise again, touching us deep in our hearts and souls.

Το τραγούδι είναι ελληνικό και ονομάζεται "Έρχομαι και εσυ κοιμάσαι". Έχει ρίζες από τους Έλληνες που ζούσαν στο Λιβίσσι, στην σημερινή Τουρκία. Οι Έλληνες εκεί διώχθηκαν από τα σπίτια τους κατά την μικρασιατική καταστροφή, και την ανταλλαγή πληθυσμών του 1923.
Dicono che i Roma non si vogliono integrare nei paesi dove soggiornano ... Ma siamo noi, ex nomadi diventati sedentari, che non ci vogliamo integrare alla loro visione unitaria delle cose. L'unica vera patria è la Terra, la sola vera cultura è quella umana, la vera gioia è vivere! Grazie BGKO per il vostro meraviglioso lavoro di integrazione umana: la vostra musica è pura arte naturale, in sintonia con l'essenza stessa della vita!

I'm completely overwhelmed. Her vocals? I'm a Vocalist and I can tell you first hand, the difficulty level to this is incredible. But she sang it as if she felt it from her soul. She's Amazing!!!! This whole band is!!!
you can tell she studied those near-eastern sounds right! it's more complex than just the minor scale really, sometimes it has micro-tones as well as specific singing techniques. and most importantly, as you said, one must really feel it, and sing it through one's soul
no wonder Sandra is from Spain - the influence of Gypsy and Jewish music of the Al-Andalus travels right through her vains!

Wonderful. I had to look the lyrics up, even though I am greek, it was hard to understand many parts. As it turns out, it's an ionic dialect, the song is from Ionia, western Anatolia.

¡Finalmente! Estaba esperando a ver cuando la orquesta *balcánica* va a cantar una canción griega. ¡teniendo en cuenta que Stelios es griego, llegan tarde! Pero de todos modos, ¡me encantan! Tengo que decir una cosa. Sus primeros videos habían una forma artística, que ha contribuido mucho en su éxito. No sé por qué ahora no están así. Quizás el director pedía mucho dinero.
