I really love hearing these old tractors run. It is cool the way it sounds like an Oliver. Watched a video the other day of a farmall F20 and it sounded just like an M or H. Can clearly hear the bloodlines in these older tractors.
Gotta love when the old ones get used as originally intended. They’re nice to look at in a shed but they look even better out in a field doing something productive.
It's good to see these farm machines "working" in the field. Seeing how haying was done even before my time is very satisfying. That is a great thumbnail photo. Great wheat and hay harvesting videos. Thanks Ethan 😊
You have always said "paint doesn't pay the bills". Good to see the Hart Parr out and about. Thanks for taking us along for the day Ethan. Take care. Fred.
Beautiful tractor and still works great for 86 yrs old, I always love the old iron. Got a 40 9n, 56 massy 65 and a 69case backhoe and they still work all day when needed
Great job. We used to do that to hay/straw, the trick was just to turn the row over so the bottom could dry. Sometimes if you went too fast, the row would turn complete over.
Man thats a sweet 70....no dry rot in those tires Ethan, keep those fluids flowing! 5:30 in the morning and you put a big old smile on my face, thanks!
Great history right there. I couldn't get over how smooth it ran in the field. I was never around full steel wheeled tractors. Looks like a rough ride on hard ground. Great video
She's a beauty. and Runs great - lets see. how. long the. newer. tractors. last. w/. all the cheap. electronics. and computers . They went Overboard with that junk and it will bankrupt farmers to keep them running.
Great way to keep the history alive. Keep it active as long as you can. Good to see there is still something you can do with it. Hope all goes well with baling. See you soon.
Awesome video!! I have a 39 Oliver 70 and 2 #2 rakes I am trying to make into a workable implement. Just got the motivation to keep working at it. Loved the production on the video also. Thank you.
Love those videos. I went to an agricultural based university at Texas A&M and got a degree in Agricultural Economics. What did you get your degree in at Purdue University being that it is the same type of university?
I appreciate that you put up this video. I like seeing what it must have been like farming in the 1940's. I am quite sure that my father and my uncle owned a Hart-Parr together to use on both of their farms, in Northern NYS. Probably their first tractor. Sure can hear the whine of the gears. Are you raking in second gear?
Howdy, Ok, now that it's started, after you turned the superstitious camera off 🤣 turn it off, and start it again, so those of us that don't get to see crank started tractors start first hand, I would really appreciate that 😂 Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends, Peace
Talk about a calendar shot, she’s it, especially raking…nostalgia at its best. Way to go OFB, keep em comin young man 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸

That was great. Nice to see two machines do their job. What a joy to see. Take care of those historic machines so they can continue to help you farm

Just like people. The longer they sit doing nothing the harder it is to keep them working.
Glad to see the old girl running she sounds great Eathn

This is great. I rake with a 1940 70RC and 256 NH rollabar. Hands down best raking tractor weve ever had. Go Oliver.

It will rattle your teeth out.
Beautiful 70!! Sure runs very good. Congratulations on that load of wheat! 82 bushels wheat during a drought is awesome!!
I was impressed
Amazing to see something of that vintage still humming along. Hope you're able to keep the tractor and rake in operable condition!!!

I need to get a parts rake for mine.
Like an old sewing machine, never missing a lick, and she sounds good
Yep
Lovely Old tractor nice to see her still working even if she was being moody. But I guess that comes with age
Yep
that a nice running tractor👍👍
Thanks
Nice to see the old girl out shinning up those steel wheels.
Thanks
We use to run the sickle bar mower thru the wheat stubble then rake it. That's a very nice vintage Oliver Hart-Parr you got there.
Takes to much away from the field cutting it that short.
That a awesome tractor
Thanks for sharing
Love the wheels
That’s a cool looking unstyled 70
That is a good looking tractor
Thanks
That’s one cool setup
Very cool old steel.
Thanks

Farm tour
82 bushel per acre you better go into the Guinness book of world record because I think that's a new record or close to it
267bu/acre is the current record. Set in the UL
Can you film/upload higher res? At least to 720p
No
82bu kicked my butt
Good thing it had rained Farm Boy!! Might have gotten your teeth shaken out if not! Ha.
It wouldn’t have been to bad.
We will not look that good at 86!
Probably not.
Farm tor
Beautiful!
