  • Mary Lattimore’s harp isn’t just her instrument, it’s her friend, also dubbed her “giant 85-pound sculpture.” But, Lattimore’s harp doesn’t belong in museums, or as a relic of the Renaissance-after all, the first concert of her prolific career was in an Arby’s parking lot. Soak up the music at Garfield Park Conservatory with Lattimore, who brings us a contemporary take on this classical instrument.

I found this concert through a link from BBC Radio 3 Night Tracks UK. Mary's music is truly beautiful and has held me spellbound when I couldn't sleep early today. What a dawn chorus! Thanks Mary.

I had the pleasure of randomly and unintentionally seeing her perform as an opening feature for Beach House at the Radius in Chicago last summer and it was magical. I haven't stopped listening to her ever since that discovery. Garfield Park Conservatory was also one of my favorite destinations when I visited the beautiful city so I'm very jealous I missed this live performance...Thank you for the memories!

Mary is truly a talent, her music is beautiful. Her scraping the wood of the harp to simulate a siren song gave me chillssss

Anyone who can play a harp is like a superhero to me!! Absolutely the most beautiful music 🎶 I've ever heard. I wish I could play a harp. They're definitely the most gorgeous of instruments. 🎵 Great work!!!

the descending melody in the first 4 min reminds me of Mick Turner "in the morning you can hear the birds singing"
    cascading loops and layers

Saw her open for Real Estate around 2017 in Denver. Most memorable opening act I've ever seen, though Mary is a star in her own right. I got to speak with her and told her she was the best DL4 player I've ever seen, even better than Nick Reinhart of Tera Melos!
