Fun trip. Thank you for sharing it. I love rock formations too. I attributed it to my being color blind but maybe it’s a thing that many enjoy. Research Quilliam’s Cave in the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s an excellent off trail, day hike. 👍🏼🙏🏼
I call that part of trail the string on a balloon!🍭🍭🍭 Kira is an amazing companion and a complete delight! Loved watching you enjoy this spectacular forest!
What an absolutely gorgeous trail. Thank you so much for including us on your hike as well as your camping adventure. I can only imagine how beautiful the forest would be with a lil bit more Fall color. We’ve been gifted so much beauty…. With our only task being to ….take care of it and each other. Be careful! ✌️🙂❤️
I think you’ll really enjoy it! So many beautiful trails all in one state park. Glad that hornets nest was way up high. And thank you. Praying for all in the hurricane’s path. 💙☀️🙏🏼
😮 This place is magical! The rock formations and vistas were just incredible. Solid hike today, MB and Brian. Kyra made it look way too easy. 😂 The little bush you saw totally had Christmas vibes! 🎄 Holly berries. Take care and rest well 🌲🏕🌲
Isn’t it though?! It’s one of our favorite places to visit! It never disappoints. And yes, haha, Kyra flies up the mountains effortlessly. She’s so fun to hike with!
WHAT A SECLUSION GETAWAY!!! YOU WEAR (B) 'S. HAT WELL. NICE SHEP. PLAYFUL& (LOVED).THE ROCK LEDGE AMAZING & VIEWS. SO PEACEFUL WITH GOD'S CREATION. FOOD AT CAMP TASTE SO GOOD. RIGHT!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE!!!😊
Such a beautiful hike! Reminded me of the many miles with a certain young lady hiking ahead of you at a fast pace ❤. Curious as to how you're keeping the meat in your vehicle in the hot sun. I'm guessing dry ice? Glad there are no bears, because they would just as soon break into your vehicle as your backpack. I know everal folks over here closer to the beginning of the AT who have had that happen to them. I try to never leave anything with a food scent in my car at night. Look forward to the next part of the adventure!
I love hiking with her! We’re excited to get on trail again. We’ll be thru hiking the Foothills Trail soon! 💙 We left our house with the meat frozen and just kept adding ice. It kept very well! And strangely enough, the ranger said there aren’t bears at Cloudland. Curious to me!
I appreciate the "DO NOT PET" sign on the pup's collar. When my kids were little I sometimes had trouble getting them to listen when I said not to approach a strange dog. It would have been so helpful if the dogs had signs like that!
Thank you. 🙏🏼 She is a police K9, my husband’s partner, so we don’t allow people to pet her. She is very well trained and well behaved, but we are always ready for an unsupervised child (or adult even) to run up to try to pet her.
Is that coffee you had at breakfast really good? Also is the collapsible cup pretty sturdy? Kyra is so sweet. She thinks she is a lap dog!! ♥️🐾 What an awesome fire and peaceful morning! Very cool hike! Those steaks looked SO GOOD!
Yes, that coffee is quite good. And I like that it has cream and sugar in it already. No need to bring extra things. Kyra really does think she’s a lap dog! 😂 It’s hard to believe she apprehends bad guys for a living! We had such a nice and peaceful time. Thanks for watching! 💙☀️🙏🏼
That park has been on my bucket list, and you have helped move it up the list with your videos. It looks amazing. Also that was definitely a big hornets’ nest. Good thing it looked to be pretty high off the ground. You don’t want to get too close to them.
The Unknown Soldier here the dog you have with you is that a purebred German Shepherd or is that a melanoir I could never tell the two apart when they're next to each other that's pretty country you're walking through too have a blessed day and God bless
Hey friend! Kyra is a purebred German Shepherd. Our last police dog was a Belgian Malinois. Both great dogs. I prefer GSD’s though. Cloudland is such a beautiful place! One of our favorites! 💙☀️🙏🏼
I asked about the bears when I was there last fall. The folks at the visitor center told me there weren't any. Course there's still all the smaller critters that would love sampling our food.
Ah, ok, that makes sense. I guess I just assumed that if there’s mountains and woods, there’s bears…kinda like in Florida: if there’s water, there’s gators!
@@wildflowersadventures I think it had something to do with not being able to make a den, maybe. But they could always be passing through. Like the one from GSMNP that visited Gainesville last year.
Hey. It's Matthew, just let you know. I was hiking the pinhoiti trail on Friday. I'd about 15 Miles on it and there was basically run off the trail by a foot race team that said, I needed not to be on the trail camping overnight in their way the next morning but get about 15 miles in and enjoy it and. What's thinking about y'all and wonder what you were doing the same weekend
Hey there! Good to know. The Pinhoti Trail is on our list to do one day. I hope you had a great time! We were up in North Georgia. We’re back in Florida this week preparing for the storm coming our way.

Most definitely! All of the accommodations here at Cloudland are great, but I think these backcountry sites might be my favorite. Doesn’t seem hard to book. We booked ours a month in advance and there were only 2 other sites (out of 12) booked.

Ohh wow ! That overlook was gorgeous! And with the fall leaves 🍂 ! Nice 👍, liked the overhanging cliff ! & yes it must have been a very dry year , for the river to be that dry ? Wow . Great video as always 👍 may I ask about your dog ? I see that he's a k9 for the police 🚔 just a little background, like what breed ? Male/ female, how old ? And is he/she a drug dog or a people finding dog ? Or both ? Very well behaved and playfull 😊 seemed to like the stick!! 😂 ohh and those steaks looked mouthwatering 🤤 LOL 😅 , ohh BTW, is that place near lookout mountain ?? Well, thanks again for the video!

Cloudland Canyon State Park is located ON Lookout Mountain. Lookout is such a special place with many options for exploration. Some other areas of note on Lookout are the Crockford-Pigeon mountain WMA that has a State Natural area, many trails, and a huge rocktown\ bouldering area that attracts climbers nationwide. Hi Mama Bear and Papa Bear. Hope your husband doesn't mind being called Papa Bear. Beautiful forest you were hiking through. I loved it. That creek would be awesome with water in it. Is Kyra your husband's work dog? She is definitely well trained and also quite the clown. Loved her at the campsite. Had to give Mama kisses.
