What’s your go-to method of relaxing when you’re feeling stressed or anxious?
Usually if it's really bad I just cry and plead with our Dad God to make it stop. And then I start to read or watch a video on anxiety, or anything really that brings me closer to God and His Promises and helps me calm down. Or I try to fall asleep because it's too much.

I'm 23 and have fallen in and out of faith for years, battling an addiction and permeated by anxiety made it a lot harder. I feel like God has listened and finally given me peace, serenity and strength to keep moving. I quit an addiction a month ago. I thought I’d be smoking weed until the day I died because it had such a strong grip on me.
But one day I felt God moving in my heart and telling me to trust Him. So I got up and flushed it all down the toilet. Then I fell flat on my face and prayed four words

I struggle so horribly with anxiety. I’m horribly shaking as I’m typing this. I try to watch sermons like this to try to calm down and relax, but man it’s so hard. I pray that God can give me the strength to overcome this, I’ve been so anxious all day and at night it just gets so much worse. Thank you Lord God for all you do for us, and please help everyone else here get over their anxiety.

I’ve struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. God has delivered me from my crippling anxiety, it used to be very very hard with panic attacks and depression. I still struggle with anxiety, I am unemployed, with a 3 year old, single mother and living in domestic violence transitional housing, I’m a student and behind on bills, in debt, cars falling apart, but I need to trust God. Prayers are appreciated
Lord we lift up Tori to You trusting that You not only see them, but that You care for everything they are feeling. We ask for You to give them peace and the right community around them as they face this anxiety. We ask that in the hardest moments of anxiety and panic, You remind them of Your steadiness and power. @@kingdomhearts8324 I used to go through anxiety and stress A LOT until I found something to get my mind off of the things that make me feel anxious or stressed like a hobby. For me, it was photography. Going outside and embracing God’s creation made me feel so much better. I hope that helps, I’ll be praying for you!

Not going to lie, I needed this. I get anxious all the time and people normally can't tell. Two years ago I took a leap of faith and at 37 years old started college. This is my 5th semester working towards an engineering degree. Only with God's help have we been able to continue to pay our bills. My wife and I have 3 children, and between both of us working our bills are paid. I started Calculus this semester and took the first test today, I am not sure how I did, but I asked God for a passing grade at least. God bless everyone.

I realized that I have been stressed out over this class and I am trying to rush to the finish line for my degree, so I took on too much this semester. Sometimes God will let you struggle and delay something he has for you to teach you patience and understanding. I have actually felt more rested since I decided my best option is to retake the class next time, and stop trying to rush the degree.
Jesus is your strength. Wait on Him and He’ll do the rest. Blessings.

Is that true? Is that really true? I recommend examining those statements and the root cause. It could be that because you believe that to be true you are wiring your mind for a self fulfilling prophecy. What if you could simply learn to love and accept what is, and release expectations?

Everytime I’m struggling badly in my life and I’m seeking advice your sermons show up and God speaks to me through them. I became a Christian after watching one of your sermons 10 months ago and a few years before that God had me watch your sermons and for awhile I had become a Christian but I fell away but he pulled me back home to him and now I’ve been going steady for 10 months following Jesus I’m born again and baptized! Just because we come to Jesus & give our life to Him, it doesn’t mean that the enemy, the devil, stops attacking us. Oh, no! He turns up the heat sometimes. But, God😊 makes a way of escape. I have a similar situation. I empathize alongside you. I grew up up with all of these feelings and still do, because of family dynamics, and because my cards were dealt this way. I never knew the words anxiety or depression. I still have these emotions, and when I do I continue to focus on God as well; seek him etc. I can go days without these emotions, happy, grateful, contentment or be "symptom" free etc. The times when these emotions gradually creep in or spontaneously, I do focus more on God; seek or I be still. This message validates the measures that I am taking are truly helping. Sometimes I need verbal connection and truly thankful for pastors to deliver messages like this to us. I also been more active with a counselor as well. To sum this up, I am very thankful. I will praise Him with all my life because, I am healthy, I use the gift of singing for my personal journey with Christ and to share, with others, continue to stay connected with strong and meaningful relationships, I have a drumming group that Ive been with (reaching 10 years), and "be still" and do nothing (I am also use to being active and busy, so this part can be hard), I will continue to focus etc. etc. on these things. Thank you for sharing your message Pastor and for this comment. This inspired me to share. I always think to myself, how about those who struggle like us, but do not have Jesus/Lord in their lives? I pray for them. Let's send a prayer for us and them as well. Amen❤🕊
The pandemic taught me that I need to do what I can do, but for the things that I can't, leave those to God, for God is STILL in control. So, I can really relate with this message. Anxiety is a very powerful force which I can only face when I'm down on my knees and trust in God.

I'm dealing with overwhelming feelings of anxiety in my life and no one knows it but me. I continually call on the Lord for strength to make it through every hour. I know he is here with me because he has helped me overcome many struggles with my health in the last 4 months. I am closer to the Lord because of my struggles and trust in him for my strength to continue on, but why do I continue to have these dreadful and devastating moments of anxiety even when I know he is with me? Obviously he is trying to show me or teach me something and I'm a slow learner.

I have always had some minor anxiety and social anxiety since I was a teenager but what hit me 4 months ago felt like I wouldn't survive and had me telling God I would rather go home with you then feel this feeling anymore. A lot of praying, singing, crying and learning to trust him through the darkness. Such a good message 😊❤️

Well here I am. 23 I had stage 4 cancer beat it. Then after turned my back on God the one that healed me. I have such a strong conviction to give my life to God and I plan on doing so. I struggle so hard with anxiety from all my treatments and everything that has happened. I just wanted to say this message changed my life and opened my eyes again. I’m giving my life to God and plan on telling my story. Remember you aren’t the only one fighting whatever. Give your life to God and you will not regret it.

I’ve been battling severe anxiety for many many years. In 2018 I left my sons father who was verbally, physically and emotionally abusive. I had to go back home to my moms house with nothing and nothing for my son. Just the clothes on our back. I was damaged, had immense trauma and riddled with anxiety. I drank and partied (when I didn’t have my son) to run away from the pain I was feeling. To not feel. When my anxiety is so bad I literally feel it physically. I get muscle spasms/twitches I get a headache, my body feels sore, My chest hurts. It’s held my captive for so long….I came back to God full force for 2 years now and my life has changed drastically. I have an amazing loving husband, blessed with another son and my oldest son sees a happier, loved and grounded in the lord mom. I still have anxiety episodes even when my life is so good! I know it’s from my deep imbedded trauma. I recently started giving it all to the lord to HEAL me from this disorder and all the trauma I endured. It’s been a journey, and it’s a lot to heal through but I know the Lord is there with my every step of the way. I’m going to continue to stay in the word, prayer because I have faith one day I will heal 🙏🏼 I love the Lord and everything he’s done for me. Yea brought me from such a troubled past and always remained faithful and loving! What an amazing God we serve. ❤ please pray I find professional help as well to help me navigate the trauma I’ve been through. And also prayer to continue to trust in the Lord and this healing process. God is so good, I will forever give him thanks for everything he’s done for me! The Lord has me, I can get through anything! 🙏🏼💗

I'm from Ethiopia. The anxiety comes and goes. But yesterday it went full extent and I told God I can't this is yes and i was sick z whole day with migran headache and so much of a neck spine pain. Then it became night and I wanted to praise so I started to praise with a worship of thanks giving and a force came upon me and I slept good and had a good morning. And now when I heard this sermon, it was like wow God ur confirming to me that I should fight my battles in this way: Pray & Praise while waiting. And so Amen to God!

Father God is thank you for Pastor Craig and this timely message on how to fight the battles of life that cause us great anxiety. We are to give everything to You with praise in honor, worship and thanksgiving. Father God, I love You and thank You for being the loving Father You are.
Thank you for this message. I have suffered with generalized anxiety for many, many years. It got really bad in 2014 and the panic attacks began. I have been serving the Lord since 1994. I know every scripture on anxiety and taking my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, but this was something that was sending me to the hospital. Some sisters in Christ told me not to take meds and to just trust in the Lord. I was suffering even when I slept. I had horrible nightmares and all I did was cry out to the Lord. I finally went to see a doctor and cried. She hugged me and gave me anxiety meds. I only took them when I felt the panic attacks coming. I finally went to see another doctor along with a therapist. I felt GUILTY that God didn't take this away and now I am taking medication daily. Every time I started feeling better, I got off the meds and it started all over again. I am on my meds for good now and still praising God in Heaven, for His grace and mercy. I am glad that Pastor mentioned all of the above. God is great and whether He heals you miraculously or has you on meds, He is still worthy of all praise.

Thanks for sharing. I have facing the same issue. I am on med for years and lately my anxiety was on and off and I am fighting so hard. Thank you so much for this message. I really needed to hear this. Thank you lord for hearing me and sending someone to help me understand and how to be still and wait. I trust he will show me the way. It was such a burden to feel such deep anxiety which doesn't help it just made it worse til! I began having panic attacks. I felt I was sinning because all this was happening to me. I felt I didn't have enough faith in God. I have been a born again Christian since I was 12,born and raise in Christianity, but didn't truly understand till I was 12. So all these things happening made me question my faith in Christ. I felt I wasn't a good Christian. I know different now I needed to stand still and listen. I heard your words on line. Thank you lord for answering my prayers. I needed an answer to work through these battles. I will not be defeated! Anxiety is in my home! Thank you Lord for your healing virtue. Hallelujah! Amen!

I remember after I had a miscarriage very tramatically and the same night i got dismissed and yelled at by my past babies dad. I was so confused and blindsided... I knew God loved me, but I felt nothing. But I sang in my bed, my pillow was soaked, while my toddler curiously looked at me... I sang praises to God... it is almost a year later, and the Lord has really changed my perspective on life and I love Him even more!
Praise God for your healing and transformation! Jesus loves you so much! I speak healing to your broken heart, you are a new creation in Christ! Amen! God Bless you woman of God!
